Very nice resort with polite staff.
Room was clean and breakfast tasty.
1 min by walk to the beach and 20 min by walk to night market.

This property is older and a bit rundown and in need of some serious tender loving care. Maintenance is being done though. There are pool tiles missing and ladders out of the pool could do with some work, lots of cracked tiles on pathways around the property too. We had a lovely beach villa. Unfortunately our door had a few issues with the handle coming off and being locked in but it was fixed straight away every time, and the bath/shower drainage was terrible and went across the bathroom. We were the only ones in a beachfront villa, but were there the days they decided to do edging on the footpath and chainsaw the trees out the front, so not really ideal. Felt we couldn’t sit on our veranda and enjoy the view. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby as well as atms, chemists and supermarkets.

Hotel has great beach front location with lush green garden. Sadly, the owner decided that’s enough to sell rooms. Everything else is afterthought from mediocre breakfast, unreliable WiFi, impossible water taps, broken handles, dated furniture to snowy TV reception and murky pool water. At this price I could have stayed up north in brand new hotel.

For a three star resort, the Orange Resort was generally a nice property. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good restaurant. Nicely landscaped. Modern clean up to date rooms.
But there were two fatal flaws that will prevent me from visiting this property again:
1. There is a bar/beach club two doors down from the Orange Resort. Loud thumping music can be heard at the Orange Resort at any hour up until midnight.
2. There are two main stairs to the beach. Unfortunately both are treacherously steep, stone and concrete stairs with no railings.

Fantastic nice and helpful staff, especially the guest relation manager. Breakfast can be improved. Swimmingpool is in need of a renovation and the water was too hot.

Very cozy resort right on the beach. A low rise complex with matured foliage. Great little restaurant overlooking the beach and 100 yards from the Main Street for all the action.Best of all the staff, friendly and willing to make you holiday perfect.

Amazing location - right on the beach!!!Great location- in the center of the action with little restaurants and shopsPretty clean, beautiful surrounding area- the pool, lots of plants, well done landscaping!!!Lots of things need to be fixed- from shampoo holders to broken lights, doors etc But at this price point not a deal breaker as it’s clean- most important

The big issue with this resort( as well as those nearby) is that there is a large sewage pipe some 100s meters on the side. The entire city centers sewage is passing out here so when it rains and city is flooded you can see the dirtbrown water spreading like a big ghost. Water is never clear, you literally cannot see where you put your foot. We suspect that the wastewater from tve hotel is pumped out during nighttime. Another guest we talked with through the week swam right into a turd one morning. So - no beach for us, only the pool. Tve island is suffering severly from pollution. There is no recycling from plastics or glass. The fishermans villages throw all garbage right into the water. The tourist beaches are clean, but walk to next section and you see tons of plastic piled up on tve beach. Phu quoc is a disaster - we are not returning....

I booked three different room categories at Orange Resort for December 10 – December 12. The photos for the room categories shown are not what I received. For example, the Superior Bungalow – Garden View shown the bathroom has double glass sliding door for the bathtub, I received a room # 71 with just a shower with half of the door was missing and the hinges are sticking out, which could be hazardous (see photos). When I complained to the front desk that room with missing door or in need of repair shouldn’t be given to guest, Ms. Tan replied that all rooms in the resorts had had half of their glass shower door removed because the owner didn’t want the shower door to be stained with water mist. Really??? If that was the intention of the owner, why the hinges are not removed and walls are patched and why half of the door is left standing? And if that was the truth, why room # 68, which is lower category Deluxe Room – Garden View, in which a member of my party stayed, has a complete glass shower door (see photos). In addition, room # 18, which is higher category Superior Bungalow – Beach front, in which members of my family stayed, has complete double sliding glass shower door (see photos). Please see photos showing the room in desperate need for repairs. Also a photo of the glass shower door was removed from my room and left outside of another close-by room. Even the towels were just rag. As you can see in one photo, the bath mat was a piece of rag torn out from worn out towels

The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is good, and the rooms are clean. But the thing that sets this place apart is the staff. Dinh the bartender and Ng the waiter were terrific, as was the cleaning staff and the front desk. If you're smart, you'll utilize the front desk staff frequently during your stay. They know everything about the island, and have excellent recommendations.

Perfectly located sea front resort. Quite dated but location and staff makes up for this. Very close to ATMs, supermarkets and lots of restaurants. Most breakfast items are targeted towards the Asian market but this was not a problem for us. Massage on the beach is very cheap £8 for 1hour. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the huge shower. Plenty of comfortable beach beds and ample shade under the trees on the beach. On site restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Stayed in the seafront bungalow.

Great location. English of the staff was okay. Beds were rock hard. The rooms and surrounds are like the rest of the island, below par quality and needws a good clean. I think the island has just developed too quickly, very dirty and for what you get it's expensive. Find somewhere else on the mainland if you want a 'resort island' feel.

The resort has 1 staff member that are hardworking and genuinely cares about the customer's experience and comfort. Coincidently she works at the customer service desk. She is amazing and probably added the positive highlights to our experience and getting things that required attention resolved (my mom's room door on the ground floor was broken so you cannot close it unless you locked it or else it would just open).
The breakfast buffet was fine. It had variety and was decent. Seeing that this resort was more expensive than where we stayed at previously, we were expecting a little bit more.
The beach is probably the best on this stretch. It is absolutely clean, clear and odorless (go south and you'll know what I mean). This was the other highlight to this resort. We spent a lot of time swimming in the beautiful gulf waters.
The reason for the lower rating is due to the cleanliness of the resort and rooms. Upon arriving, one of the room already had sand and dirt all over the sheets. When asked to change the sheets, she said she couldn't. We observed the maids sweep rubbish and debris from the room into the grass/fields, including empty water bottles and loose paper. Old mattresses, bedframes, linen and blabkets filled the stairwats. We were few Vietnamese family on the resort so we understood what all the staff were saying and due to their unhappiness, their work reflected it.
There is a lot of room to improve this resort.

Rooms were a little dated, some are new and some are from the 80s but still nice. Excellent location right on the beach. Staff were amazing, willing to help with any issue or request. Very family friendly with amazing buffet breakfast every morning! Only downfall was restaurant did not really offer much for dinner service, but didnt really matter as just up the road was a local family owned and run restaurant serving the most amazing fresh seafood and local food.Overall I would recommend this resort to anyone going to this island.

Perfectly located : direct access to a private beach, 10 minute walk from the town
We booked a bungalow with a garden view but were given a big room with a sea view. The room was big, very clean, quite new (yet with some technical points to be solved..). The swimmingpool is very nice as well.
Yet a good choice for the price, compared to what can be found on the island

We had booked a week in the ocean front room- and lasted about 12 hours. This is not a hotel for "Westerners". The location was perfect- right on the beach.....BUT:
The beds were so hard- had to look and see if it was actually a matress or a lawn chair pad-closer to a pad!
The bathtub was in the shower and not attached- thought it was going to tip over when I stepped in.
We had a ground floor that opened right to the beach-the people upstairs came in about 10pm-and it sounded like they were moving furniture till 2am!!!
Breakfast was some fruit that disappeared fast by other westerners needing something edible, baguettes that looked a week old, and some white bread with ghetto jam-i didn't even bother to inquire into the egg option.
The pool I thought was going to make this hotel passable ( due to the jellyfish larve in the ocean-leaving that unswimmable) when I got into the pool I noticed a tingling sensation - but figured it was my sunburn -NOT!! All 4 of us had chemical burns from the pool-my daughter spent hours in the tippy bathtub trying to get her skin not to sting.
After sleeping for a few hours- we packed up and left to another hotel down the beach that was close to the same price for absolute luxury!
When I told the reception that we were leaving -she actually said "yes I know we have problems" unfortunately we had prepaid for the week- and got no refund.

Great position and a pool too if you don't fancy the sea.
There is a restaurant/bar facing west slightly raised on the beach, great for a sundowner or three!
The staff are really friendly and helpful too

Perfect for short stay. The beach isn't always clean but when that is happening you can go in the swimming pool. Awesome breakfast for those who like vietnamiese food.

We stayed in a beach side room with a small deck. It was great, however plumbing was not connected to shower/bath so water ran out on bathroom floor and then down a drain. The hotel will need to maintain this property to keep it up to a good standard as you can already see areas needing attention. They cleaned the beachfront daily, the food was good and you could dine on the beach. Pool area very nice and staff friendly. Really friendly & helpful people at Sweet Home Alabama Bar in entrance lane to hotel. We booked our travel through the resort to Sihanoukville, but the local tour operators Phu Quoc Green Travel used Anny Travel and Anna Tours once we arrived at Ha Tien and the condition of their vehicles was really poor. We had long waits out in 40degree heat and also the air conditioning in the vehicles didnt work. Consider looking for another company if traveling on into Cambodia by ferry. A nice place to stay for a relaxing holiday though.

I was worried prior to our stay due to other travelers' complaints about this hotel; however, we were VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. We got a great value on a beachfront room which was our own private bungalow literally right on the beach. The room was spacious, had a nice bathroom with a large shower, and a porch with a table looking out onto the ocean. It was very clean and the housekeeping staff was thorough. We also found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful (in one instance we booked and paid for a tour which we later had to cancel due to illness and the front desk assisted us without hesitation). Breakfast was also lovely with both Western and Asian options and even eggs cooked to order! If you are looking for a glamorous 5 star resort then this is probably not the place for you. Instead, it is a wonderful mid-level option, great value for the money, perfect location, and very clean. Highly recommend this hotel, especially a beachfront room!

Nice hotel by the beach. Staff don't speak much English, only a few reception staff able to speak.
No maps of the town provided.
3 min walk to main road, from there, about 30 min walk to night market.
Food at restaurant not fantastic, better to go out to eat.
No night activities like BBQ buffet or music by the pool, although I was there on fri and sat night.
But price of hotel a bit on the high side for a place like this.
