I never stayed here, we were informed while we were still on the train that the Hotel has collapsed which ruined our plans. As an owner, you should be maintaining your place to ensure things like these don’t happen as it shows your disregard for other people’s life so no I don’t feel bad. I still haven’t received my refund that I was informed will be refunded 72 hours later.

The gentleman at the desk was kind and helpful but the room was so loud I did not sleep the entire night. The streets are loud and it sounded like there were people dragging chains down the street every ten minutes - it was a very disturbing noise. The energy in there is also very strange. It is a cold and very clinical place with the absolute bare minimum: basic bed, thin towels and a bar of soap and a sachet of shampoo. The shower head is directly over the head so you can’t really shower without getting your entire head wet. I could understand this being a €20 a night 2 star motel but absolutely not a hotel running at over €100 a night. Don’t stay here if you need a good night’s sleep and want to feel comfortable.

It will sound a bit weird, but the small rack on the balcony where we can dry some clothes. Very convenient. Great idea.

Clean, convenient to the train station, shopping and the historic district. Very nice breakfast, included. The hosts were very helpful with our stay and with suggesting activities. Salerno is a perfect location for exploring Amalfi.

The brothers are super nice!! Salerno is very good base camp to travel around the Amalfi coast. You can reach by a ferry in 30-45 mins and the terminal/train station is very close to the hotel. Plenty of restaurants. To Napoli by train, only 45 mins.

Very nice B&B, glose to the shopping street and old city, but in a quiet place.

Well located, but a bit difficult to find with lots of one way streets! Ask hotel for parking close by at special rate. Walking distance to Vitoria street with restaurants and shops. Three street from the boardwalk near the sea. Giuseppe was great with full of informations and great breakfast.

The hotel is located close to the train station and ferry terminal which is very convenient. It's clean and looks like it was recently renovated. We had the first room, which is called the Salerno, and unfortunately it wasn't a good experience because it is so close to the lobby and the kitchen. We could hear everything that was going on, all guests coming in and out, phone calls, etc. The hosts are a bit overcrowding which we didn't enjoy. They force some information on you which could be good for someone who doesn't know much about the city and need suggestions.I don't think I would stay here again.

The owners are two brothers who are very friendly. They gave us info on some local restaurants.
The 'hotel' is in a great location - perhaps 4 blocks west of the train station, easy walk east to the ferry (to Amalfi and Positano), and not too far from the old town (west).
Very clean. Great breakfast - I'm going to post photos!
Good size room - especially the bathroom.
We had two walls with windows. One side with a balcony - it was amazing that the street noise was cut in half when the window was shut and was cut to nearly no noise when the 'shutter' was closed.

This BnB was in a quite area very close to everything we need such as the ferry terminal, train station and shops. Guissepie recommend lovely places to eat and his brother kindly helped us down the stairs with our suitcases. There is a lift in the building but be aware there are 12 steps to reach it if you have heavy luggage. We didn’t have breakfast on either day as we needed to leave early. We were offered coupons to use at a local bakery but we didn’t require them. The brothers are very friendly and fixed the problem we had with no hot water on our first day straight away.

The service was great, the family who runs it were all super helpful and made us feel very welcomed and cared for. The room was amazing, shower was something you see in those super expensive hotels, super roomy and beutiful. Perfect location too, 4 minute walk to the beach and close to anywhere you need to go in town. If we're ever back in Salerno this is definitely where we'll stay.

We just concluded our Italy trip and this was by far our favorite B&B that we stayed in. It was steps away from everything including the ferry which allows you travel to multiple locations without having to drive. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was always fresh and well presented and there were no limitations. Very much enjoyed our stay here and definitely would not hesitate to go back.

Wonderful little place in a conveniently located and beautifully restored apartment building. Service was incredible even though we arrived a bit late and breakfast was amazing! Wish we had more time in Salerno, so will be back and will definitely stay here when we are. Oh, and loved the shower!

We like small hotels. Based on reviews, we fortunately picked il Reticolo. The rooms are simple but immaculate. The owners could not be any nicer or more helpful. Excellent location. This was our first visit to Salerno. We will be back. When we do, we will stay at il Reticolo. we felt that we had arrived as strangers but departed as friends.

This little boutique hotel (4 bedrooms) is a treasure. The hosts were courteous and accommodating. Located just a block away from the main shopping area in Salerno (Corso Italiano), and two blocks from the promenade, its an easy 10 minute walk from the main train station. The hotel itself is very bright, clean and modern. Our room was spotless and the bathroom, tiled floor to ceiling in white modern tile, had a great rainforest shower. The surprise in there was the (optional) 70s disco lighting. Fun and novel. We opted for what one of the brothers called a salty breakfast and were presented with cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit, fresh bread rolls, a boiled egg, fruit juice and yoghourt. Salerno itself was a pleasant surprise. We stayed for 2 nights to have a full day in Paestum and the ancient Greek temples, about 15 miles south of Salerno (easy 25 minute train ride), but we took the chance walk around Salerno. The two jewels we found were the Giardino di Minerva and the wall art in the neghborhood you have to walk through to get to it. The garden is in the middle of a very dense urban neighborhood, on a hillside. It was founded by a dottore in the 13th century who specialized in medicinal herbs. This garden was his teaching tool for the university students who studied under him and is a mini marvel of hydrological engineering. Using natural springs, the water cascades through a series of channels to feed the beds on the 4 levels. Think small Alhambra

Great location in a not so touristy city, but convenient to all the touristy spots of the Amalfi coast. Very nice owners, very nice room great location, great European breakfast.

Excellent service. Friendly staff, incredibly helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. Great room, double balcony, lovely bathroom and shower. Tea making facilities were available in the room which is a plus. Breakfast was nice and very well presented ready for 08:30. They organised local parking which was £15 for the night, not bad for the town centre. The town was noisy at night but what would you expect from the town centre, I was that wiped out from exploring that I had no trouble sleeping through the cars and moped noise. Can't recommend this place enough.

The Il Reticolo is owned by two brother that really do a spectacular job of running this small but quaint four room B & B! This beautifully designed hotel is clean, modern and only a few years old. Reticolo means "Lattice" in English, so be sure to look up at the intricate ceiling during your fabulous and plentiful complimentary breakfast! The rooms are sized quite nicely, well kept and very comfortable for vacation travelers. Neither my girlfriend or I speak Italian, but the brothers were very helpful and relentless in trying to help us around town and getting us to all of the fabulous sight seeing spots along the Amalfi Coast. Be sure to book a room here if you are staying in Salerno.
