Surprised no one was on site for checkin- sign on door said to go to Trade Post. I guess we were at the end of season, so everything in town was winding down. Room was spacious and very clean. No shampoo or hair dryer. Trains kept us awake.

Shower stall was small but adequate. The staff was friendy and helpful with luggage storage.

Wonderful place! The room was spacious and clean. Retro but cool and well maintained. My husband and I just stayed the night but we slept great and walked down the street to the Two Medicine Grill for breakfast. East Glacier Amtrak depot is just across the road/tracks.
We always play a sound machine app on my phone so noise is rarely a problem.
3.7
A charming little place with a log cabin feel to the interior with pine walls and ceiling. Beds are comfortable, shower good. Fluffy towels. Direct TV and WIFI. It’s an easy drive into the east side entrances to Glacier National Park: Two Medicine, St Mary, and Many Glacier. For us that was the far better side of the park because it’s less busy.
3.7
We had a 2 room suite with kitchen. It was very clean and in excellent condition. Owner/manager is friendly and helpful. Bed was a little soft for my husband & I but we both have bad backs and had been in the car all day. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
3.7
Very much enjoyed staying here the night before we went to Many Glacier. Mark and crew were super helpful and let us store our bags in the store all day because it was raining and we were in a pickup. Dining options are limited in East but the pizza place was good. Units 1 and 2 are connected and have a small kitchen so you can cook.
3.7
The inside was clean, but the bathroom was very small. The window by the bed hed no full screen, but just a small portable screen that we had to remove in order to lock the window. Otherwise anyone could have raised the window from the outside & removed the screen & climbed in the window.
The exterior was unkept & parking was cramped. We had to go a couple of blocks down the street to a business to check in.
3.7
The room wss clean. The room was rustic. Beds were fairly comfortable. Some reviews were bad some were good. Adjust your expectations and you will be fine. The train station is across the street, yes you will hear it. It is not the four seasons, but the care takers were kind and the place was cute.
3.7
Whistling Swan was a very nice, reasonably priced location near the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier Park. Check in was easily accomplished at the mercantile and the clean rooms were very comfortable. Thanks to the family owners, we hope to be back!

Basic accommodation.

The owner was AWESOME!!! I WAS short on cash and they let me stay for two days until my money was deposited into my account!!!! Wont find that many places. :)
3.7
The property looks quite old from outside, but really clean and convenient from inside. The only comment is the very small washroom with the sink outside in the kitchen area.
The place surprisingly has a full kitchen including a stove and a full size fridge. They also provided utensils, pans, plates and cups.

Arrived early in the night; limited signage of parking and lobby. No one in the office; had to go a block to a business to obtain room key. Large bathroom! Limited access to electrical outlets in the sleeping area.

Great little place

We liked this motel. Not much parking space but nice cute place. There are a few places to eat in town. Close to Two Medicine park entrance. Fairly close to Saint Mary too.
3.7
Old, dirty, cramped space though the location is good. We ended up having to stay here as a last resort.
3.7
Been here several times before over the years, check in is at the grocery store, convenient and laid back, we’ve never had a bad stay here. Exactly what we need while traveling through.
3.7
Eclectic small property. Our room was one of the original older ones with very quaint touches. Loved the wood throughout and the crazy doors. We stayed just a night while passing through but it was great for our needs.
3.7
There are so few options for accommodations in Glacier but perhaps it’s best to stay at the lodge if you book early enough and can swing it. Whistling Swan was clean and the bed was comfortable. However the room was very small, no soap/shampoo/kleenex/coffee or anything in the room, and located on a sketchy street where you can hear the loud sounds of trains during the night.

The whistling swan Inn is a quaint property. We were surprised at first and didn’t think we would have adequate parking, but we did. It is an older facility, but it was comfortable and surprisingly quiet being on the main highway. We found it to be clean and spacious, except for the bathroom, which was rather small. My only concern was probably the fact that sometimes when I plugged something into the socket, the plug fell out. I have to say that the owners were very pleasant and accommodating. Our TV would not work and the owner came and stayed for a good while trying to get it to come online.

When we arrived, there was a note on the door telling us to go down a couple blocks to the store to find the person to check us in. Ok. So we drove around the back, through the alley to go around the block. The back of that place looks like it is a building in a 3rd world country. The front is not too much better. We checked in at a quaint little country store, and the people were so nice. So we went back, and were really skeptical, but knew that we wouldn't find anywhere else to stay, so we were just praying it wasn't as bad as we thought. The door to our room didn't match the others, so we weren't even sure it was the right door until we walked up and saw the number. We couldn't get our vehicle up to it because there was an ancient looking snow machine parked in the way (the only complaint I have, by the way). We opened the door, so afraid of what we were going to find, and voila! What a shock! It was cute, and clean, and the beds were comfortable. I was floored! Beautiful knotty pine walls and ceiling, and the bathroom seemed to be newly remodeled. It was so cozy. Don't be afraid to stay here! It's not fancy, but it's clean as a whistle and charming. I was going to add photos, but the Hotels app is apparently having some technical issues, and won't let me.

A quiet unassuming property, our room was very spacious and clean. Met all of our needs and very well priced.

Room not ready at 3pm as listed, waited to 4pm. Breakfast not available at 8am as we were told, sat in dining area for another 40 min. No AC, rooms were hot. Price of oneeightyfour for a weekday night seemed a tad high for this level lodging.
3.7
Very nice and clean accommodations

Well maintained

The outside of the hotel didn't look great, but a comfy room. The owner was very nice. Good informational check in.
3.7
We were told they had air conditioning. It was a fan. It was 92 degree outside and not much better inside. I can handle the tiny room and spider web under the sink but I can not sleep in the heat. They said it’s cools outside quickly at night but the breeze does not cool down all the dark wood. Everywhere else was booked so we were stuck staying there.
3.7
We enjoy staying here when we visit the east side of Glacier. For us, the classic decor is comfortable and has such cute character. The place is clean, feels safe, and is very affordable. We would definitely stay there again.

There are a limited number of places to stay in East Glacier Park, and this one is "quaint." We were in the main building, and our small room had windows directly on the street. The street had trucks going by periodically, and a train track on the other side, so there was more noise than we're used to. The owner was friendly, and also runs a store nearby. Clearly a "tourist town," the shops were mostly souvenir types of places, with limited choices of restaurants. We ate dinner at the East Glacier Lodge (a large lodge-style [read: "log construction"] hotel with a restaurant and large bar), which was very good. We might stay there if we come back to town, but it is probably much more expensive than this hotel. Parking was on the street, which is a fairly busy road, so I parked up against the curb outside of our room to maximize drive-by room.
3.7
Owners were friendly and helpful they brought us extra pillows and a fan. The very small room didn’t have air conditioning. No coffee maker or any real amenities.
3.7
Sweet little motel with fridge, microwave, coffee pot. Store down the street has decent supplies, and beautiful Glacier lodge in a short walk. Train station across the street, with train coming through several times during the night.
3.7
This is not a Las Vegas resort, but it's a quaint little place that embodies the town you're staying in. Fantastic option on the east side of Glacier park. The owner is a great guy, someone you could sit and have a few drinks with, and will make sure your stay is excellent! Do not overlook the Whistling Swan!
3.7
Remove snow buggy from the parking lot,use the weed eater that was sitting on the lawn. I find it hard to believe that a motel that charges $190 a night cannot afford a $40 hair dryer or other amenities. The outside of the motel needs extensive cosmetic work, but I do admit the room is very nice.
3.7
Everything you need!

If you have other options, do not lost you money here.
The most rudest and no emphatic front desk.
After a long tired and exhausting day in Glacier National park my wife my 7 months baby and I arrived 8:30pm at the property but the office was close, we found a envelope with my door code and a map whit my unit location.
Here is when I realized that the unit I booked (room with balcony) was not the same (a cabin) like the picture. The unit was a loft in a modify barn located in the 3er floor and the bedroom in the 4th. The bedroom was 79 degrees with no A/C unit (unbelievable).
I back to the office sicking for some help when I found a clerk, after I explained all this situation he just said I’m just the helper, open the windows and room will refresh eventually, he denied to help me with my luggage. Also his voice and the way of saying this had an air of nonchalance and rudeness also he made me repeat everything twice as is he didn’t understand me.
For sure this guy is not performed to work as a front desk, he can not address any of my complains.
3.7
Positives: it was less expensive than other hotels in the area.
Negatives: very small, no a/c, missing window screen so no airflow, bed uncomfortable, over-priced.
3.7
This place is very small and extremely nice for our family vacation. This is just what we were looking for. We would definitely recommend this place to others.
3.7
Check in is at general store. Very relaxed easy going vibe. Had a kitchenette with plenty of dishes, towels n soap. Bathroom is small, literally toilet n stand up shower. Shower head was placed high on wall. Kitchen sink is the only sink. Across from train tracks, so some noise there. Comfortable beds.
3.7
Very convenient and close to dining options in East Glacier.
3.7
Rustic room, lovely owners who also run a local shop. Clean, spacious, comfortable room.
