Surprised no one was on site for checkin- sign on door said to go to Trade Post. I guess we were at the end of season, so everything in town was winding down. Room was spacious and very clean. No shampoo or hair dryer. Trains kept us awake.

Shower stall was small but adequate. The staff was friendy and helpful with luggage storage.

A basic motel conveniently located to town- very walkable. Motel is old and rooms were small. Bathrooms are outdated and tight. 18 min to Two Medicine Lake and 40 min to St Mary. The folks are friendly and knowledgeable about things to do/see.

Great place to stay in East Glacier. Room was clean and had everything you need for a quick stay.

Basic room for one night. Bed, TV, fan, towels and bar soap. No extras like shampoo or hair dryer. Clean. Bed was comfy. Close to main road and traintracks but was not noisy. Relatively close to East glacier which is why we chose it.
4.0
The towels were nice which is my positive comment. All appliances are plugged into a sngle outlet...very unsafe. No air conditioning and no safe way to leave windows open

The bath was so small that you could barely turn around between the sink and commode. The soap was the size of a 50-cent piece. There were huge, thick cobwebs in the corners; the noise from the frequent Amtrak train was loud. The towels were nice and changed each day.

Wonderful place! The room was spacious and clean. Retro but cool and well maintained. My husband and I just stayed the night but we slept great and walked down the street to the Two Medicine Grill for breakfast. East Glacier Amtrak depot is just across the road/tracks.
We always play a sound machine app on my phone so noise is rarely a problem.

This is a very small unit with a single double bed & a tiny shower. The proximity to Glacier National Park was our reason for staying there, so it worked for us.

Terrible exterior and parking. Dirty carpet needs replacement but beds were ok and bathroom was recently renewed.

A charming little place with a log cabin feel to the interior with pine walls and ceiling. Beds are comfortable, shower good. Fluffy towels. Direct TV and WIFI. It’s an easy drive into the east side entrances to Glacier National Park: Two Medicine, St Mary, and Many Glacier. For us that was the far better side of the park because it’s less busy.

We had a 2 room suite with kitchen. It was very clean and in excellent condition. Owner/manager is friendly and helpful. Bed was a little soft for my husband & I but we both have bad backs and had been in the car all day. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Place is good for what is in the area. Could use some sprucing up but is quaint and rustic. It also appeared to be clean which is what we care about. Full kitchen and looked like it had essentials for cooking-we just needed a place to sleep. We were in unit 1 next to the road-no AC so with windows open, you hear the trains and traffic all night. Not a lot of traffic. Mattress needs to be changed. Parking is tight.

Owner was friendly and his service was good. Rustic room, reminded me of the camping cabins that we have at Minnesota state parks. Needs new carpet, but everything else was fine. I would stay there again.

Stayed here for three nights while visiting Glacier National Park. East Glacier is a small little town. Several restaurants within walking distance and a small casino. The Amtrak station is across a street. Rather rustic and basic but able to get a good night's rest. The heater worked great considering the weather is getting colder now.

If you want a place near GNP, its super close to Two Medicine and about 35ish minutes from Going to the Sun. It looks sketch from the outside, but its large and nice on the inside. Has stores and restaurants right next door. And a yummy coffee (to-go)spot that opens at 6am. Worth the money I spent. The train can be loud if you are not use to noises and the Guests can be loud outside but in all its a nice little spot.

Was better than we expected for the price, was old, one room didn't have a door, but beds were comfortable.Great for the price to sleep right outside Glacier park and get up early to go adventure again.

Location was good.
Cleaning not so much.
Very small

The property fit my needs. It was clean and convenient to the West entrance of Glacier National Park as well as the Many Glacier entrance and St Mary's entrances of the park. It is not the Hilton, and rather rustic but again it fit my needs. Check-In was easy, just at the general store. The heater worked wonderfully as it does cool off at night this time of year.

This motel is too old. Just beside the main road and railway. It so noisy I can't sleep the whole night, and it only have a fan no AC, Night time is so cool no heater at all. The shower faucet is too old and cannot work properly.

The price was nuts for 145 sq/ft. Over $300 CND. It was clean however.

Clean affordability friendly staff. Parking was tight , bathroom really small.

Very much enjoyed staying here the night before we went to Many Glacier. Mark and crew were super helpful and let us store our bags in the store all day because it was raining and we were in a pickup. Dining options are limited in East but the pizza place was good. Units 1 and 2 are connected and have a small kitchen so you can cook.

The inside was clean, but the bathroom was very small. The window by the bed hed no full screen, but just a small portable screen that we had to remove in order to lock the window. Otherwise anyone could have raised the window from the outside & removed the screen & climbed in the window.
The exterior was unkept & parking was cramped. We had to go a couple of blocks down the street to a business to check in.

Whistling Swan was a very nice, reasonably priced location near the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier Park. Check in was easily accomplished at the mercantile and the clean rooms were very comfortable. Thanks to the family owners, we hope to be back!

The room wss clean. The room was rustic. Beds were fairly comfortable. Some reviews were bad some were good. Adjust your expectations and you will be fine. The train station is across the street, yes you will hear it. It is not the four seasons, but the care takers were kind and the place was cute.

The owner was AWESOME!!! I WAS short on cash and they let me stay for two days until my money was deposited into my account!!!! Wont find that many places. :)

The property looks quite old from outside, but really clean and convenient from inside. The only comment is the very small washroom with the sink outside in the kitchen area.
The place surprisingly has a full kitchen including a stove and a full size fridge. They also provided utensils, pans, plates and cups.

We liked this motel. Not much parking space but nice cute place. There are a few places to eat in town. Close to Two Medicine park entrance. Fairly close to Saint Mary too.

Arrived early in the night; limited signage of parking and lobby. No one in the office; had to go a block to a business to obtain room key. Large bathroom! Limited access to electrical outlets in the sleeping area.

Old, dirty, cramped space though the location is good. We ended up having to stay here as a last resort.

Been here several times before over the years, check in is at the grocery store, convenient and laid back, we’ve never had a bad stay here. Exactly what we need while traveling through.

Eclectic small property. Our room was one of the original older ones with very quaint touches. Loved the wood throughout and the crazy doors. We stayed just a night while passing through but it was great for our needs.

There are so few options for accommodations in Glacier but perhaps it’s best to stay at the lodge if you book early enough and can swing it. Whistling Swan was clean and the bed was comfortable. However the room was very small, no soap/shampoo/kleenex/coffee or anything in the room, and located on a sketchy street where you can hear the loud sounds of trains during the night.

The whistling swan Inn is a quaint property. We were surprised at first and didn’t think we would have adequate parking, but we did. It is an older facility, but it was comfortable and surprisingly quiet being on the main highway. We found it to be clean and spacious, except for the bathroom, which was rather small. My only concern was probably the fact that sometimes when I plugged something into the socket, the plug fell out. I have to say that the owners were very pleasant and accommodating. Our TV would not work and the owner came and stayed for a good while trying to get it to come online.

When we arrived, there was a note on the door telling us to go down a couple blocks to the store to find the person to check us in. Ok. So we drove around the back, through the alley to go around the block. The back of that place looks like it is a building in a 3rd world country. The front is not too much better. We checked in at a quaint little country store, and the people were so nice. So we went back, and were really skeptical, but knew that we wouldn't find anywhere else to stay, so we were just praying it wasn't as bad as we thought. The door to our room didn't match the others, so we weren't even sure it was the right door until we walked up and saw the number. We couldn't get our vehicle up to it because there was an ancient looking snow machine parked in the way (the only complaint I have, by the way). We opened the door, so afraid of what we were going to find, and voila! What a shock! It was cute, and clean, and the beds were comfortable. I was floored! Beautiful knotty pine walls and ceiling, and the bathroom seemed to be newly remodeled. It was so cozy. Don't be afraid to stay here! It's not fancy, but it's clean as a whistle and charming. I was going to add photos, but the Hotels app is apparently having some technical issues, and won't let me.

A quiet unassuming property, our room was very spacious and clean. Met all of our needs and very well priced.
