Nice property, comfortable room, good location with bus-stops quite near. And the breakfasts were excellent, and served with cham!

Great location midway between Exeter St David’s & Central train stations & easy walk into city centre. Cosy top floor room with comfortable bed & was very quiet during my 4 day stay. Hosts Tim & Ken were excellent, arranged late arrival for me & very informative about local area. Only negative is very small bathroom & shower, but overall a very nice stay in Exeter!

Lovely place. Room was small but I was expecting that. Very clean and in a great location for exploring the city.

Such a lovely property, in a beautiful building, beautiful area, and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spotless and tidy and the beds, comfortable. We can't recommend this property enough. The only slight sadness is that the bathrooms are so small (can't be helped) and the main room doesn't serve breakfast. While it is offered in bedrooms, the common room on the ground floor is beautiful and larger, with the perfect table to invite people to greet one another and build community.

Happy to go back. The only issue was the noise when people were coming in or going out and banging the front door.

A delightful BnB! Everything was absolutely perfect. I was in room 7, with a separate bathroom with a tub (that I enjoyed immensely whilst I was there). Friendly and welcoming - with a delicious breakfast! Couldn’t fault it - will be going back.

Friendly hosts and fabulous location. We liked that the breakfast was optional as there were lots of nearby eateries.

As always a lovely stay in the Townhouse. Owner is always very accommodating, great rooms, location and breakfast. Cannot fault it!

The Townhouse is a little gem. This was my first visit to Exeter in years and Ken, Tim and Adrian made me feel so welcome. I had a single room (I’m usually greedy when travelling solo and go for a double I’ll be honest), but it was great. Very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and tasteful decor. Continental breakfast delivered to the room was excellent. There’s no parking but there is a reasonably priced car park within 5 minutes walk. I hope I will return.

Well situated for both mainline railway stations and a short walk into Exeter City Centre,
Restored period property well presented and with a "boutique" feel.
Breakfast caters for gluten free and your choice is delivered to your door at your chosen time

Decided to stay in Exeter the night before heading to Plymouth
Arrived at the Townhouse, able to park directly outside
The property is exactly as it states a Townhouse, the garden / pots outside were lovely kept, once I got in I was greeted by a superb gentleman who greeted me by name
He had kept me fully informed as I wasn’t too sure what time I would arrive
The room given was spacious, great decor and perfect in every manner
I asked for recommendations of restaurants
Clear directions given
This was the perfect place to stay, an enjoyable night all round and I would certainly think about staying there each time before my business trip to Plymouth each month
I would highly recommend this !
Thank you

A comfortable stay. I found street parking by the hotel which was free for the time I was there - the staff were able to provide clear advice on this.

Mid-Victorian building next to old churchyard midway between city centre, station and university, well restored so as to maintain as much of the original as possible while adapting to modern expectations. Clean, comfortable, simply but well equipped.

A delightful small guest house where careful attention has been paid to every detail. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, well appointed, helpful staff. Convenient for town centre.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was beautiful. Really enjoyed my stay!

The stay was excellent. Our only reservation was the price and breakfast offer. We found cheaper and more varied alternatives nearby

Absolutely wonderful. Great breakfast quietly and considerately delivered to your door.

Gorgeous old townhouse converted to a modern, boutique hotel. Great rooms, comfy bed & linen.
Very friendly owners and staff.
My only small issue is that I would have liked to open the windows but they had security locks on (to be safe!). Maybe bars on lower windows would allow them to be opened more? There was a fan in the room though.

The Townhouse Exeter is a beautiful old building located right beside St. David's Church. If you find the sound of church bells ringing to be charming, then you're in luck! The location is perfect for seeing the local sites and for finding restaurants and shopping in a range of price points. Ken and Tim are very friendly and helpful (they do mean it about the check-in times though). We had an excellent stay at the Townhouse Exeter!

We had a great stay at the Townhouse. It was a lovely, clean and spacious room. Unfortunately it was a short stay so we didn't get to sample all the facilities, as the garden looked like a lovely place for a drink

First time in Exeter. The room was very quiet and convenient, close to downtown, within walking distance of several nice restaurants. Parking not provided, so plan to park on the street or a pay lot. Overall a great place to stay if you want to explore Exeter on foot.

Having stayed in many hotel chains due traveling for work I have always struggled to sleep in strange bed, but I didn’t have this problem staying at the Towerhouse. Will definitely stay again

Unfortunately this was only a one night stay, breaking up a journey, but we would have no hesitation in booking again when in Exeter. The room (a much appreciated upgrade) was delightful with everything we needed and a comfortable bed. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly and everything clearly explained including advice on the parking, which we had no problem with. Breakfast was delivered at the time we asked for it and was delicious - great croissants! All-in-all it is obvious this hotel has been very thoughtfully done and we were sorry our stay was so brief.

Beautiful building in a quiet location very close to city centre. Lovely atmosphere. The breakfast in a bag scheme works well. No food available but plenty of places within easy walking distance. I extended my stay by a night rather than book in the next town I was going to - when the hotel gets it right why risk somewhere else?
