It was in the backpackers room. A simple room bed a small desk and a bathroom. No hot water the window was by the entrance to another property so ppl can be seen walking back and forth the shower leaked so the water came on the ground into the room. Nobody was at the property when I got there around 11am

The place looks like somewhere you to take someone for a quickie. The walls were dirty and towels had rust stains on it and poorly ventilated.

I did find my fan room a bit noisy because the windows weren't glazed, so I upgraded to an AC room. I enjoyed my stay.

1. Was greeted by the property owner with a complete disregard for customer service.
2. rude and unpleasant. through my partner's native id card across the table stating that they "look too young in the photo"
3. not only was it disgusting and all corners of pure nastiness, there was some major safety concerns in part structural and sanitation
4. when we decided to go for a walk to get away from the mess of a room we were placed in. Upon exiting he screamed from the balcony on how he'd like for my to enter the code and unlock the gate. That i was in fact familiar with and not complicated at all. When all he had to do was provide the gate access code.

Owner/ general manager is really a nice guy!

good evening, I can inform you that this hotel
Julian Guest House, does not have a good manager, on the contrary, the person who is there is an ungentlemanly man, rude, poorly educated, and he addresses the guest with little education. I arrived there at 4am and due to an altercation at the payment, he intended that I paid for 22 days that same day when I explained to him that I had booked for 22 but I was only going to pay 2 because I wasn't sure if I would stay for that long, and that man who didn't even know his name yelled at me that I had to pay the That early morning and I didn't accept it and I was able to call the man from the taxi to come back for me and take me out of that horrible place. Thank God I was able to get out of there and I will never return. The moment that happened was very bad.

Julian,
Ask yourself why is your place mostly left empty?
The reason is YOU.

The most reasonable backpackers room that I could find in the city.

Julians Guest house has been there for many years and is in a great location for when you want to explore Georgetown. Julian is a great host and is ever so glad to help and even has a karaoke Fridays too boot. My brother and I would come back again without a doubt.

Service was good as Julian was very helpful. The area around the room did have a unpleasant smell at some times. But the quality was acceptable for the price but could be improved. The room we rented did not have AC, but it did have 2 fans. These did not really make the room cooler. The rooms also did not have windows so there was no ventilation.

The stay was good. The place is very reasonably priced. The backpacker's rooms are not very comfortable. Upgrade to the A/C units if you want to be able to sleep o/w is just too hot.

Great location and good value for the money. Julian is extremely helpful arranging trips, taxi, where to eat, etc. The biggest help from Julian is to tell you approximately what things such as taxi rides should cost to avoid being overcharged.

The staff are great and very helpfull when needed, they go out of there way to get anything you need

Great affordable place to stay very close to downtown Georgetown. Room was comfortable and clean and Julian and his staff stayed up to meet our late arrival (11:30 pm). Favorite amenity was 3rd floor shaded balcony for morning coffee - fun watching street activity as locals get started on their day.

The place is very safe and Julian, the owner is very friendly and helpful. He offers himself to help from driving you around to money exchange and city tips.

Julian was most helpful - giving me tips on safety, changing some U.S. dollars in a pinch, helping me procure a flight to Kaieteur, arranging taxis as needed, inviting me to a party thrown for friends on the veranda. The accommodations are modest, but the staffs personalized willingness to make the stay a good one and the affordable cost made this a place I would return to (I note I was traveling light and solo - and looking to experience the real Georgetown rather than being sequestered away in a plush hotel). The balconies/verandas are nice, the proximity to Roti Hut (a favorite) was good, and the relative closeness to downtown Georgetown was key. The area is a bit iffy after dark, but I found that keeping ones wits about and being observant can get one through. Overall, this is a very good spot from which to operate if you are looking to get a real feel for Georgetown, as I was across the span of six nights, or needing a quick crash pad if landing in Georgetown and heading on to Suriname or the interior of Guyana.

Pretty good guesthouse especially for the price. Room/bathroom needs some refurbishing, but all the necessities are there. Guesthouse lies in the heart of Georgetown. Staff are really helpful. There's a bar downstairs below the rooms where you can meet other people and the owner usually hangs out.

Needed to check in early due to an early flight arrival, which was no problem for Julian and his staff. Comfortable, friendly feel about the place for my six night stay. And Julian was very helpful in getting things sorted to for my 3am taxi departure for the airport. Had a very enjoyable stay...

Julian and Anita were very hospitable, and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
