The only thing i would like to comment negatively is the fact that parking is not really available as stated... there is only 1 spot, in the street.

This place was not very clean and outdated!
To get our rooms we had to go up about 20 stairs ! This really really needs to be on website.
No room service and coffee not available until 8:30 !
Staff was nice !

Centrally located hotel but downtown had teachers protest so streets had tending shelters.
Bed too firm and in need for new sheets but room clean with nice ac.
Terrace was nice to chat and drink some beers.
Breakfast until 8:30 am so for tours is not good.
They lend us some hats at the lobby the first day.

You are at the center of it all in Oaxaca here. Lots of shopping and dining options. The staff is super helpful and they keep the place clean.

The shower was barely a trickle. And the bathroom was hot! Other than that, it was a pretty good boutique hotel.

On the very first day of our stay ( we were there for 7 nights for over US$200/- per night) the receptionist asked us to pay to launder the face towel ‘cause it was dirty! It got dirty since we had to use some towels on the bathroom floor because initially the shower was not working and we had someone come to fix it. Soon after, the water pressure was whacky and the water got all over the bathroom floor and we had to use the towel to soak up all the spilled water.
The next day, the same receptionist accused us for leaving the sink water running. I clearly told her that there was no way we were going to be wasteful, and infact it was their faulty water pressure that may have caused it.
After that interaction, for the next 5 days, while we were there, she refused to make eye contact with us and made us feel very unwelcomed.

They had an amazing roof top terrace with a great nighttime city view and we were the only ones up there. Great place to have some Mezcal and relax. This location was great for an urban stay in the city with easy access to anything you could possibly want or need. Check in desk reception was very friendly and accommodating.

I don’t think that I like anything about his place not even hot water to take a shower. If I can I will give zero starts.

Conveniently located near city center. However due to current remodeling happening in the city, there is a big food area outside the hotel that has smoke all day long. The food is great, the email all the time not so much. But this is out of the hotel’s control. Regarding the hotel, the rooms are a bit dark, the pictures show more light.

This place was super close to the main plaza. The rooms were nice and the service was spectacular. Right behind the Mercados and lots of food options. Would definitely come back again

The location was especially good: 2 markets Within one block and the zocalo was 2 blocks away. There was also a rooftop terrace great for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. One night there were fireworks. In the hotel restaurant the meals were excellent and inexpensive.

Hotel is fine, but I have a bad experience when I tried to park my car at parking lot, because they didn´t want to give me a receipt, so I decided to move my car to another parking lot with no relation with the hotel.

FD staff was very helpful and attentive. Upon arrival I had lost my phone and wallet and staff literally dropped everything to help me find my iPhone/wallet which we eventually found (recovered) from Taxi from airport to hotel.
I will definitely come back!

the property is really close to the main point like el zocalo, mercado 20 de noviembre, benito juarez. I liked it because I was able to walk just few blocks and get to these places. Food has a good tasting, staff is also nice and friendly. The hotel is nice to stay few nights, only issue that I had was with the bathroom.. water temperature changed constantly while taking a shower

We stayed five days a Casa Garay and very much enjoyed our stay. We arrived early and they were able to hold our luggage so we could start exploring the city before checking in. Great customer service from arrival to departure. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The Casa itself is beautiful and clean, a lot of antiques, art, and a nice seating and patio area. The room was clean and fresh, comfortable beds and a nice air conditioning unit. We choose this place because it was close to the center but not too close. And we were not disappointed, it is within walking distance to a lot of points of interest including the mercados.

For the price, it was fine. The location was great. The hotel is in an old family home that was turned into a hotel so there was a lot of charm. The room I had was quite dark offering little to no natural light. There are no elevators so guests must take stairs with luggage which can be problematic …but again, it’s an old place. I have to say my stay here was quite enjoyable and the staff were very friendly but if you are looking for a place with lots of amenities…you may be disappointed. Location and price was key here my selection on this hotel and it was great on both points.

From a cost/benefit perspective it is great. The rooms are nice enough and the location is great.

We had a very nice stay. The staff were all extremely responsive and friendly. The room was always sparklingly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the shower was missing its door and so showers made the bathroom floor very wet. This was our first visit to Oaxaca so we didn't know the neighborhoods. Know that this hotel is below the Zocalo about five minute walk below the main tourist area and in the food markets area...lots of hustle and bustle. But our room was quite.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location next to the food market and two blocks from the zocalo. Unfortunately, the rooms lack comfort, from scarce toiletries, shower with water flow problems, TV difficult to navigate, and a several other minor issues.

Small, uniquely beautiful hotel and staff. Very personalized with salons indoor and out to make you feel like you’re at home.

Great location and close to everything, the room was clean, staff helpful and friendly, they had a water cooler which saved me from buying water, only issue was that the room was very dark, window was covered but there was a bright and comfortable main sitting area

Beautiful hotel. Charming. Staff was great, very friendly and informative. We needed a Covid test before boarding our plane the next day, the receptionist found us a clinic around the corner. First room was very charming and clean but the bed was plywood hard. Asked the front desk if they could get us a softer bed and they got us a different room really quick. Bed was so soft slept all night. Right outside is the Mercado 20 de noviembre and vendors and the zocalo is within walking distance. Only issue we had that there was no hot water! But because it was hot outside I didn’t mind bathing in cold water. It took a while but got thru it. I informed the front staff the next day and the guy up front apologized and said you should of called me. Told him it was no big deal. But it was a very nice hotel. We would stay again just this time I will check the bed and hot water before settling in. Great over all!

Beautiful hotel!! Staff so attentive and kind. The location is perfect walking distance between the cathedral, zocalo (downtown) amazing restaurants and next door to the 20 de noviembre mercado (must go in). In the mercado they have many different places to eat, stands with different things. And they can cook your meat in front of you! But back to the hotel! I felt safe, the rooms are spacious and beautiful interior. The hotel provides water, a mini fridge, coffee inside your room. Everyone there that we encountered was friendly and approachable. They even let us leave our luggage for an hour after we had checked out behind a locked door so we can finish getting a few souvenirs.
