Overall an enjoyable stay. A nice location, walking distance to the old town, very nice pool and beach. There’s a lot of disposable plastic usage (though I didn’t see any waste on the beach at least). On the other hand bedsheets weren’t changed throughout the duration of our stay (5 nights), which is a long time for a beach hotel. There was no laundry service as advertised which was something that we specifically checked for when packing for our trip. The room did have a drying rack though for some hand washing. We went for the family suite in hopes of letting the baby have a bit of her own space to sleep, but that space wasn’t big enough for the crib (with the bunk beds). That wasn’t a big deal though, we could still use the space in other ways. It was also a little silly to have a baby wear the all inclusive bracelet, but whatever.

Food was great, cleaning ladies was polite so as the rest employes.. hotel was very clean, beach is great. We stayed in september and the weather was good..
Only one thing, plastic cups in beach and lobby bar was cheap and not suitable for coffes and other hot drinks..

Big and nice rooms, great food, lovely beach.
The inside pool, the spa and the fitness didn't work at all, definitely not as advertised. The parking was paid extra - 10lv per day, and there were no vacant places, so we searched Nessebar for a place to park. Also - they didn't clean the room everyday, and we found kids toys under the bed.
Overall food a lovely place with a great potential, as the beach is really just perfect.

We booked a family apartment for 2 adults and 2 children. Upon arrival, we were given a family apartment which did not match our booking or the photo on Hotels.com. The receptionist explained that only 2 apartments look like the photo and they are busy. For half of our holiday, we had to stay in an older and dated apartment. Our children did not have individual beds but an old sofa boating in the middle.
Our apartment had a very poor bathroom, the shower taps were loose with exposed pipes. The shower was secured via a wire to the ceiling with curtains. The hotel decided to implement curtains for all showers instead of shower screens which is a cheaper and very unhygienic options, the curtains don’t get cleaned. All hotel towels are delivered on the floor of a van. Non-sea view apartments face old block and allotments. Our air condition was really old making a very loud noise, available only at the front of the apartment.
After a complaint, we were moved 3 days later to the apartment from the photo in the new part of the hotel Block C.
All inclusive included buffet food however you have to queue for every drink. There were limited options for healthy eating, most puddings were sweets with yogurt available only in the morning. All alcohol and cocktails are from low cost alcohols.
Location is in the new town at the front of the sea, the swimming pool is fairly small.
The only positive part of the holiday was the animation, the team was very friendly and professional.

The best thing about this hotel is its location right on the beach and the staff was very young, pleasant and hardworking. I liked the evening shows by professional guest artists - 2 within our 7 nights stay.
The pool was smaller than pictured but the beach compensated for it.
I can't recommend the room - we booked economy double room and we were given a room in block C with no terrace, the bathroom was dated and the cleaning of it hit and miss. Daily housekeeping and fresh towels, shampoo and shower gel provided but bring your own hair conditioner and body lotion.
The food was ok, there was something for everyone's taste, breads just out of the oven, lots of fruits and veg. For 7 days my only desert lunch and evening was baklava, couldn't have enough of it.

Old Nessebar is beautiful, one of the true gems of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. MPM Hotel Arsena is perfectly located to enjoy it, right on the beach, full sea view, amazing moonlight, and a pleasant 10-15 minutes stroll away from the Old City.
Rooms are large, clean, with large bathrooms and walk-in shower - one minus would be the lack of a shower curtain. Nice balcony/terrace, free wifi in the rooms as well.
The beach is perfect - large, fine sand, no rocks in the water - perfect for kids.
Pool area is very nice too - a bit small so I imagine could get crowded in full season, but the beach is right there to compensate!
Food is quite good - large selection of vegetables, cooked Bulgarian style, quite nice. Large room for improvement, however, is in the deserts department, which leaves a lot to be desired. Also the bar/drinks area in the main restaurant should be reorganized. One coffee machine is not enough and generates queueing. Also the dishwasher - or the lack of it - is a problem. Serving drinks - all drinks - and washing cups and glasses should not be left to the same one person, and in full sight of everyone!
However these are only small hiccups, which could be easily remedied. Overall, this hotel offers a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
