Although the younger attendants of the front desk were kind, helpful and friendly, the older lady, (owner maybe) seemed very unhappy, all the time. And asking anything of her seemed like an imposition. The room wasn't very clean. There was small bits on one of the bedside tables and I wiped the top of the shower door before hanging my towel on it. I had to use two Clorox wipes to get it clean. There was only one hook for two towels. The towel heater did not work and the hand towel bar was by the bidet, (obviously it was for that). The bath and hand towels were like large, waffled tea towels in thickness. They dried well enough, but weren't very soft. Also, there no room to put anything like a toothbrush, soaps etc
around the sink or in the bathroom in general. The bed side tables were tiny! And one of them had a phone on it, taking up valuable space, and it didn't even work. Not even to call reception. The furniture is old and broken. The breakfast was mediocre but fine. The coffee maker needed to be fixed by the staff twice during the 4 times we had breakfast there. Luckily it was an easy and quick fix, so we did get our cappuccino! It claims to be a three star hotel, but we'd rate it a two star. One last thing, it was very noisy in the room unless the windows were closed. Thankfully the air conditioning worked fine

Clean and convenient for the historic centre and a competitive price, however a very noisy area with drunk revellers on most nights. The main door should also have a closure device fitted as it shuts very noisily.

Great location. Make sure to park outside of the ZTL and get a taxi in. Very easy. It’s difficult to find if you try to drive into the ZTL to drop your bags and the streets are narrow and congested with tourists.

Bathroom across the hall, needs an additional key to open. Towels look like coming from middle age

Despite bad reviews, I chose this hotel because it was a good price for Siena and conveniently located on the Via Francigena route. The staff were very friendly and check-in was easy, even though we had to go to the hotel next door to get the receptionist.
However, the room sucked. The air conditioner started making some obnoxiously loud noises as we were trying to fall asleep. We had to turn it off and use the oscillating fan, which must have been there because they know the AC is bad. Even with the window open and the fan on, it was hot and stuffy, despite it being a cool night outside. The bed was worn out and sagging in the center. There were dust bunnies in the corners, scuffs all over the walls, loose floor tiles, and the shower curtain was ineffective at keeping the water off the bathroom floor.
It was a roof over our heads, but in the end, we got what we paid for…

I love Siena, my family is from there, but I would not stay here again nor would I recommend anyone do so either.
This property could use a face lift and more attention from the owners. Great location but very poor otherwise. Reception was rarely present on site. The air conditioner made a noise because it was old which kept us awake at night. The bathroom smelled like urine. The bathroom door would scrape against the floor why trying to close it, making a loud noise and you had to push very hard to shut it making the noise unavoidable. The mattress kept sinking, eventually there was a bowl shape after the 4th night. No drawers or dresser in the room, only 2 hangers provided, no space to put suitcases. But they have a desk for some reason? The shower head broke and started spraying water all over - thankfully they fixed that when we asked. The staff who we did interact with were nice but they were not at the caliber I would have expected for the price.
At one point I asked to change rooms, which I could only do via message because no one was ever at reception. Eventually I had to speak to someone at the neighbor hotel because no one was downstairs, and when I spoke to this woman who was covering my hotel, she told me I had to tell her right now if I wanted to change. (my mother was at the museum and I needed to confirm with her first). I told her I could confirm around 2pm when she’s back and she said no. I don’t see why that was necessary. It was noon.

Unfussy but comfortable, well-priced and, above all, well-located, this hotel is a great pick for a short stay in Siena.

Property is centrally located in old town. Rooms are very noisy caused by conversations, showers and drains, and room doors closing.

A very good breakfast option if you wished to indulge.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Plentiful of dining options close by.
Right in the midst of everything.

This is an amazing location in Siena! All the Siena sights TO SEE are just steps away. One suggestion, though, if you need a dark room to sleep, - request a room other than room #18 - its window is right next to a lovely bright street light. Enjoyable stay.

Good location, walking distance to piazza del Campo.
But the room is not sound proof, very noisy from the street,
The TV is not working so we cannot watch Eurovision 2024 final contest.
The shower room is very small. Water from shower is small as well.
No coffee or kettle in the room.

Breakfast was excellent. Located in the heart of the beautiful city. Easy walk from the bus stop from Florence.

The property is very clean, there is a cafe downstairs, and a small cafeteria that opens later in the day also downstairs.
However, the beds are very uncomfortable, the bathrooms smell awful, and accessing the property is a nightmare if you are driving. The staff are pleasent, but not helpful. We had a very rough landing and it definitely soured our experience. Siena, however, is a beautiful city.
We were attracted to this property because the listing said they had free offsite parking or valet for 30/day. However, when we arrived it was close to close and we were given a rushed street name for where we could get access (for unloading only) and I asked for a whatsapp text that never came for directions. I was traveling with my 2 year old and had some luggage and didn't want to hike through the city with all of our things. The text never came, so in order to avoid the ZTL fines, we parked in a lot outside of town for $35/ night. The lots will give you a discounted rate of $25/ night if you get a QR code proving you are staying in town. So, yeah, free parking turned into 2.5 hours of waiting, searching, and hiking and $50 for 2 nights of parking.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Piccolo Etruria from the moment of checkin to check out. Gentleman who checked us in ( sorry forgot to ask his name) was very friendly and helpful. We booked a Standard double room and it was perfect for my son and I to share. Steps away from the l Campo. Gentleman at deskgave as a great suggestion of Local restaurant round corner of hotel, which did not disappoint . Supermarket few doors down also Would definitely stay here again.

Conveniently located near Il Campo, we were somewhat prepared for the jubilant celebrations which went on until 3am each night. We were okay with this.
The hotel itself was very disappointing. The elevator only went part way up to the first floor rooms. We still had to carry our luggage up three more sets of stairs to our room.
The door to our bathroom was very noisy and difficult to open. It scraped the floor and required a great deal of force to push it open or closed. Our complaint about this situation was met with a shrug and we were told no other room was available.
There was no mini fridge in the room where we could keep cold water. No plastic glasses were provided. We had to ask for these at the desk.
There is only sporadic service at the reception desk. The owners of this hotel also own the hotel next door and we had to go in search of someone in the other hotel to check out and call a taxi.
The 12 Euro breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. We gave it a pass.
This interesting, historic building could have provided a pleasant experience with a little more focus on the upkeep of the rooms and the needs of the guests.

They have a lift so you can avoid the stairs, property is very clean, steps from the Campo, tv in rooms, adjacent to a new cafe, great price. Shared bathroom may bother some but never had an issue with it.

This is a great place to stay. The location is excellent. The room is just ok. Its comfortable but small. The beds were good. Breakfast was very good!
The only negative is that our room faced the streets and it was SO LOUD. We didn't sleep much. If you reserve a room, definitely request 1 NOT facing the street.
The customer service was excellent! We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely amazing location, beautiful hotel with old world charm. The rooms are exactly as described classic/rustic and exceptionally clean. The manager was extremely helpful and welcoming and even let us park the motorbike in his garage for a small fee, which was a massive help.

The hotel owner was very helpful. I like its location and convenience. The room has awkward shape with a separate bathroom with key access. There was a shared lounge at mid level. Its proximity to Piazza Campo can’t be beaten.

Location, location, location! This hotel is in the perfect spot in Siena, close enough to the main attractions to walk right to them and still close enough to the drivable areas to catch a bus or two or walk to meet a tour guide. The receptionist is very friendly and had great recommendations for things to do and places to spend my time.

Amazing location! The hotel is nothing fancy but it has everything you need for a few nights in Siena and the staff is very helpful.
The street that the rooms face is busy in the evening and can be a little nosy with night life.
I would stay here again. :)
