The place near to go around the town

Well located but, contrary to advertised, not much English is spoken (luckily, the owner's daughter was home from Uni and spoke English very well). The tv didn't work which (for a solo traveller) was disappointing. The breakfast was a bit scant but okay.

Old French Colonial style hotel charm. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Stay was okay. Hotel is next to a school so noisy during the day, dogs barking at night if you are on non-city view room. Hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast and breakfast is not a buffet style. Three choices from their menu. Note: This hotel does not have any rooms with "2 bedrooms." Two beds, but not two bedrooms as advertised.

Nice clean and old fashion hotel. Rooms are locked using a key, old fashioned-LOVE IT! Recommended if staying in Vientiane.

We were happy with our stay. The public areas of the hotel look fantastic. The room was a decent size and everything works. The hotel looked pricey, but very affordable. I was satisfied and thought it good value for money.

we stayed here for 4 nights and the service we receive was great! Especially when we had issues travelling home, they allowed us to use the WiFi to sort an alternate route home and we had to book another night with themThe breakfast is ok - not much choice and could be better The hotel is also is in quite a quiet spot with not many places to eat around - you can walk into the centre which isn’t far

Breakfast is pretty bad first day we stay has buffet breakfast is so so. 2nd-3rd day only 4 rooms were occupied so they serves breakfast on menu. Ham is no taste. Eggs are so well done and greasy the best thing is latte coffee included not instant. For the room, bedding is so comfortable and clean.

Great hotel with awesome staff. It’s clean, it has an elevator, room are comfy, and well maintained. It has restaurants around the places but it’s not the same as the popular locations near the river. So you’ll need to take a tuktuk to gate there. Beside that excellent place.

An eye opener of a hotel the moment you step through the door. Not at all what we were expecting this hotel is superb. Wonderful greeting from the young reception staff and greeted with cold drinks. Escorted to our room which can only be described as amazing it was huge. The bed was a vast expanse of slumbering comfort. Large bathroom with superb shower and bath. Cleanliness beyond compare. Breakfast is served in a lovely decorated restaurant. Close to the Patouxai Arch and a 30 minute walk to most of the good restaurants in Vientiane. 5star all round. Highly recommended.

We stayed 3nights and 1 more night returned after visited other town for 3nights.It is 25 min walk from town centre or Mekong river side. It was hard to walk with polluted road side in hot sunny days. Even thought,we were happy to stay in this hotel. it's clean, nice bed and functional big bath room. The staff were friendly and willing to help us. View from the balcony was so interesting to observe any moment of the day. However air pollution was so bad from early morning to night, due to many mini bikes were running constantly at front of the hotel.

A tidy and comfortable hotel in the centre of Vientiane, close to the Palace...about a 1.3km walk and very close to the Arch. Staff were friendly and helpful but English was difficult at times. One staff member spoke ok English but if he wasn't there other staff struggled. But they were very helpful. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel was value for money.

We stayed here on a family vacation. It felt like a boutique hotel and we were pleasantly surprised to received almost personalised services. It started with offering complimentary airport pick-up. On arrival, we received an upgrade to the suite room. They provided additional bed for my daughter - at no extra cost. Even though the options at the buffet breakfast was basis, realising we have some food restrictions they immediately served some extra dishes for our table. The Manager also helped us to arrange a day trip.

Didn’t expect such cosy room and stylish hotel with 5 star service at a budget price. Its a bit out of the way but my experience staying here was great.

This is a great hotel for the cost. Comfortable, great breakfast, nice rooms, and very accommodating staff. Just remembered, your getting a great value for your your money but are a long walk or a 5 dollar Tuk Tuk ride to the most popular areas. Over all, still recommended.

The Phasouk Vien Chantra hotel is a lovely French Colonial building which I believe is family owned. The decor is second to none and the staff are all lovely. We will return to the PVC in the near future. A short 2km stroll into downtown Vientiane, the PVC is in the embassy district near the Patyxay monument.

Reasonably new hotel, everything was in order, clean and nice. Quite busy road along side of the hotel, so expect some noise. It did not bother us though. Would stay here again!

Great place to relax and rest! The 5-star bed, duvet, sheets and pillows were the best Ive ever had. The hospitality from every staff member was extraordinary. The hotel is only a year old and everything is new and spotlessly clean. I especially thank the manager, Ai, and Misses Lassie (sp?) for their interesting conversation! See you next year!

The hotel was definitely elegant and nicer than any I have stayed at in Vientiane. That being said, it is just better to stay in the city centre

Really lovely hotel, super friendly staff, beautiful clean and comfortable rooms in a classic style with lots of space and high quality bedding. Bathroom was a high standard too, plumbing was a bit dodgy though (water went hot cold hot etc). Whole place looked like it had recently been refurbished. Food was ok. WiFi was fine for basic stuff. Not much in the local area but the hotel is on the main road into town so easy to grab a taxi. Recommended, I'd stay there again.
