This isn't even a 1*hotel, it's a dump! We came late (had told the hotel in the reservation), the room they gave us was tiny, no window, no skirting boards and we saw cockroaches in the gap between the walls and floors! We didn't even sit down, went to complain. Were told they could upgrade to a room "with window": went to look the window was a slit smaller than my head. All rooms had musty smell. We left, hotel refused to refund that night. For the price you can get heaps better just a couple blocks away.

The main problem it trying to contact them. I have sent emails, with no response and two phone calls to them and they said call back on WhatsApp, with no contact number on WhatsApp.

We made our original booking to stay at the Silk Grand Queen hotel and after arriving at the hotel after some 12 hours of travel was told our room there was not available due to some maintenance issue, but I suspect it was overbooked so we ended up staying here which in my opinion was a downgrade from a 4 star hotel to a 3 star hotel at the same price. The hotel itself is perfectly acceptable. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. The only issue was the poor shower head, they are terrible. The breakfast buffet was good. The pool needs a bit of attention and there were no pool towels available. There is no roof top bar, which would make an awesome addition to this hotel.

We recently stayed for six nights in this hotel. The staff was lovely, polite, and smiling. Hana was great at organizing our tours. The breakfast buffet was good. The rooms were spacious and clean. I loved the roof bar that has a great view. We did not use the pool or the gym, and I kind of regret it as both were very tempting. We will definitely stay at the Silk Queen Grand Hotel if we ever come back to Hanoi.

Breakfast was great
Rooms were small and dated, but still very clean
We picked this hotel for location and it was perfect.

The breakfast buffet and the sky bar were excellent. The staff throughout the hotel, (ie. Door guy, receptionist, restaurant and bar attendents,) were even better. The room and the spa were too dim for my liking.

Good hotel, Fair value for $40/night, but not a 4 stars.
Central location
Very nice and friendly staff
Very good buffet breakfast
Good internet and some English Channel on TV (news and movies)
Not so good: No hot water, only barely warm.
Heater: maximum temperature you can ask is 21*C/70*F, so you will need to use the bathrobe to keep warm.
Delux Room does not have window…
Pool is too cold to be usable in winter.

Great location, just minutes away from Hoan Kiem lake and both high end and souvenir shopping. I very much enjoyed the rooftop bar and the friendliness of the staff. The massage staff was very unprofessional, talking among themselves and massaging with only one hand.

Not really a 4 star experience

We arived late. And left early in the morning. Clean. Helpful staff

A very comfortable stay. We are from the UK so for the money we paid for this we were impressed with what we got. Courteous staff; clean, well equipped and comfortable room; outstanding buffet breakfast; unassailable location. Recommended for any travellers who have been on the hoof for a while and fancy something a bit more luxurious. Not saying it’s the most luxurious hotel you will ever stay in in your life, just saying that it was a memorable stay for us.

We stayed only one night and Hotel was kind enough to hold our bags for four days and let us swim and hang out all of the next day as we waited for the night train
Great breakfast
Fantastic location
Great views from above

Our stay was fine. The staff is very friendly and help you even though their English is limited. The rooms were quite small and very close to one another. The pool looks much bigger on the pictures and the gym was dirty and the machines didn’t work. Breakfast was good with freshly made omelet and loads of fruit, pancakes and some salads. Location was very good with the Hoan Kiem Lake close by. Don’t use their Spa. We had nails done and back massage and both things weren’t good.

The reception controls all the rooms Air Conditioning which would require a phone call to turn on. Very frustrating during the night at 28C in room. Non-Smoking room always smelled of cigarettes after being cleaned. Pool gave my children a rash after swimming which they still have after 4 days. “Family” rooms may just fit a fold out bed but leave no other room for luggage. This hotel is NOT 4 stars. Lucky to rate it a high 2 or a low 3.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff.
Family room for with 2 children is very small. The shower designed very bad - can’t take a shower without the floor getting flooded.

Okay hotel, nicely located in the centre of Hanoi, close to everything. Room did not have window with views, but that is expected with most hotels in Hanoi and for the price. We had an excellent porter, called Louis, he gave us some great tips on places to eat. If you stay here ask for Louis, he was extremely helpful!

It was in a great location but a pretty simple hotel. Nothing special

As a backpacker, I came from staying in hostels for weeks so compared to that it was lovely. However, the pool is tiny, the restaurant was deserted in the evening & the rooftop bar had no staff and therefore to customers there. Hotel location good, hotel staff excellent but I was aware of the negatives.

The Silk Queen Grand is a good version of the small hitels that populate Ha Noi. My room was pretty large room with cable television including CNN, DW and News Asia. The staff were attentive and spoke speak English. I would definately stay at the Silk Queen Grand again.

Location in the Old Quarter was excellent. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had 2 family rooms, and they were clean and nice. I'd definitely stay here again.

It’s totally differs from what was rated for this hotel. The room was very small, windows are facing closely with next room windows that you can even climb over to another room. The room floor was filled with hairs. We requested for queen size bed but we got 2 single beds joined together that it’s so uncomfortable to sleep with. We stayed for 6 nights for our honeymoon and we’ve been eating the same food every breakfast. Very disappointing experienced.

The hotel is centrally located in the midst of the old city where all actions take place. Its close to the lake and all amenities around. The draw back is that the noise is lowed especially in the morning, since the rooms have no sound barriers. Staff are very polite and very helpful and ready to help . I booked a cruise in Hai Phong and a couple of other day trips using the hotel reservation staff. Huong is an excellent member of the staff and speaks well in English and usually tries her best to help. When I checked in, the shower was not working, nor the fridge. Eventually the problems fixed. Food was nice and good quality. Facilities at the hotel are not bad.

Nice 3 star hotel in fantastic location. Few minutes walk from the lake, the night market and all street food and bars!

The staff were great and location was perfect with easy access to eateries and shopping. The let down was the room being small with the bathroom poorly finished (loose bath and leaking water).
