Our room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was pretty standard. You won’t starve but if you’re looking for a good hot breakfast, jump on the bus and go into town. The bus stops right out front. Very convenient.

The staff there was friendly. The room was not good for the price. Mattress was very old and needs replacing, room smelled musty, the heat/ac unit needs updating and it smelled when you turned the heat on.

Do not waste your money here, there are plenty of other options. First off, when we tried to open the door, its was dragging so bad my wife couldn’t even get the door open, I had to throw my shoulder into the door to get it open. When I went to the front desk to report the issue, the lady behind the desk acted like I just spit on the floor or something giving me this horrible attitude (like how dare I disturb her). Next when we finally got the door open, the room stank to high heaven, it was super humid in there and smelt horrible. They had a dehumidifier in the room but it wasn’t running so I assume this happens often. When they got it running, it was full of water in less than a day. The parking is ridiculous, it does not support the number of rooms they have, people had to park across the street and cross a very busy street in the dark. I will definitely NOT be going back

We stayed 3 nights and were pleased overall with the accommodations. The hotel is old, the parking was tight, but the location was great. The staff was friendly and the hotel is very clean. We had all the comforts we needed!
3.5
For the room rate they charge its a crime for a old and poorly maintained hotel
3.5
This place leaves a lot to be desired. Parking is full at 8pm and you have to park in overflow lot across the street, which is dangerous to cross. Room was surface clean but don’t look behind the bed (gross). Room furniture was dirty/scratched. Bathroom tiles falling off walls and dirty grout. The Wi-Fi is terrible. The one good thing I can say is that the front desk staff was nice. Oh and the bed was comfortable.
3.5
Only spent a few hours to sleep. Traffic in the morning was audible in the room but it was comfortable.
3.5
Older motel which has done some upgrades, but still has a ways to go. Parking was tight. Location was fine. Price was cheap for Mount Desert Island, but this is the bare minimum. Wouldn't stay here again

I wouldn’t stay here again. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. The breakfast offered was ehh.The outside needed major clean up and even tho pet friendly there was no area for dogs to relieve themselves. Was definitely not worth what I paid.

Room poorly designed, Air conditioner is in an alcove and poorly cools the room. When we arrived the A/C was off, turned it on and left for several hours, came back and room hot. A/C not working, I looked and saw a lot of Mold in the discharge portion of the A/C unit. Asked front desk to be moved to a different room, None available. had Maintenance come and look at unit, I had to tell him what to do including cleaning mold and caked dirt on evap fins of unit. once unit was cleaned it worked but not well due to where it was located.

Great location on the outskirts of Bar Harbor, easy access to Acadia NP. Room was worn but serviceable, AC unit was old and did not consistently work. the room was also very damp, but had an in-room dehumidifier which helped. Staff were friendly!
3.5
The room could be finished better, ok for the price and location.
3.5
The room smells like moldy, the bathroom door was very hard to close and makes loud noise, the window and door has a gap that the flies can get inside the room.

The on-line depiction of the hotel, the view, no pool, etc. was not what we experienced. Small room, with an even smaller bathroom. We did not feel safe from shortly after entering our room since the window was unlocked. At night we put a table with a large piece of luggage on it to block the door just in case since the door was not tight even when fully locked. The holders for toilet paper and towels were so outdated and rusting and flimsy. But the worst thing was the day we were departing my wife yells from the bathroom to get a large bug which turned out to be a cockroach which I killed and flushed. I told the attendant who transferred photos and also a lady who opened the door to the room as we were leaving and I also showed her the photo. We have not heard from management and I'd be surprised if it's not business as usual there.

The 1st day, we didn’t get the room we booked, and 2nd day they moved us to the room with the balcony but not have a microwave, the manager was not friendly or helpful, they don’t clean the rooms everyday unless we ask.

There were issues with parking and the need for a clean flat sheet. Although it was rectified, housekeeping's approach was less than pleasant. It was sufficient for one night but not sure I'd stay again.
3.5
It was a very pleasant stay. Now we did think we were going to be closer to bar harbour we were about 1.5 miles away. But if you dont want to walk there is a free public bus that stops right in front of Days Inn at the bus stop.

Though it was a little difficult trying to book 3 rooms at once online, our ability to find 3 rooms, side by side at a VERY reasonable price on the date requested was found to be tremendously appreciated. Aliyah at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful, making the check-in easy and quick. Her offering of a "Doggy-bag" for our pet was unexpected and welcomed. Though we struggled to find parking on the premises later in the evening, we LOVED our stay and will continue to book at Days Inn when looking for overnight hotels.

everything was great

A one night visit to Acadia Park.

Check in was fine. Beds were comfortable. Curtains were kept shut so room was musty. Bathroom was outdated and gross - dead bugs on the ceiling, ancient brown shower mat glued to the tub. The shower head wasn't truly attached to the wall, either.
They also charged my credit card for almost double the amount. Each day, they charged the full overnight rate to my card, even though I paid upon check in. The charges are still "pending" and I was assured by the desk that they would go through, but now that's almost $600 tied up on my card for no reason.
Breakfast is just plain oatmeal, bagels, granola bars, or microwaveable sandwiches. Coffee was meh. Plan on going out for breakfast if you want to enjoy the meal.
3.5
Breakfast is very bland my kids did not even eat. Otherwise we’re comfortable.
3.5
Tight quarters, needs updating. Kind staff. Bathroom ok. Beautiful location and great for a good walk on the shore. Overall ok, not entirely worth the price but not hating on it either. A solid 3.
3.5
Breakfast ran out out of most desirable items long before 10am final time.
3.5
Door was difficult to open
3.5
Was very impressed with absolute cleanliness! The room was spacious and comfortable.
3.5
Even though the hotel was fully booked for our stay during record breaking heat the staff didn't think ahead and turn on the air conditioner. Our room felt like it was over 90 degrees when we checked in. We had to call twice and have someone bring us a fan to help cool the room.
3.5
Way overpriced for what it was. $120 per night for a dive of a place in that area is about right
3.5
My room was disgusting. There were stains on the chairs and drapes. The threshold was covered in pollen. The bed sheets were clean and bed was comfortable.
3.5
Very high price for accomodation. I could have found a motel room that was cheaper and cleaner. Hairs in the bed and room smelled really bad. Probably one of the more shabby establishments I've been to.
3.5
th staff was very friendly and helpful, facility was older but clean. breakfast was just fine. liked over looking the ocean at a reasonable price
3.5
Property is too old.
3.5
I want to start off by saying the staff was nice and attentive. The room left us underwhelmed, the smell was terrible (had to go buy airfreshener), all the glass surfaces, mirrors and pictures had a film like the were wiped down with a dirty rag, the refrigerator had mold in it, very outdated bathroom, toilet very very close to vanity, the crack in the door let in a ton of light. The beds were ok if you like firm mattresses, and the room had a lot of seating which was nice. I do understand it is older but for the cost per night I think they could get these rooms updated.
3.5
Norma at the front desk was a delight but the property is dirty and AC broke while we were there.
3.5
Older motel but clean the parking is right outside your room which was awesome!!
3.5
We liked that the room was quiet although on busy highway, near a staircase and small. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was good and hot coffee was available all day. Renovations in the bathroom were nice and the bed was clean and comfy. Housekeeping was great while we were away. We did not like though the over powering spray odor that hotels use. We got used to it over our 4 day but way, way too strong. Also, having 5 plugs to a single outlet was a concern.
3.5
Breakfast, very nice ,they had umbrellas for rainy weather
3.5
Service was great, front desk clerks were some of the best I've experienced. Room was good, despite being a bit small. Our AC unit didn't work (fan only), which luckily didn't end up being too big of a deal. Overall the property is a bit dated, but nice enough and about what we thought was to be expected for the price.
3.5
Sitting on the porch was a little noisy with the main road so close, but the view of Frenchman's Bay was awesome! The staff was super friendly and helpful, giving me a map to Arcadia National Park and some tips.
3.5
Good location. There was no internet for the first day of our stay. Not enough stock of breakfast items ran out of them most of the time. Room was small for 4 people and a/c was a window unit took long to cool the room.
