Very good overall.

Got charged on credit card $65 even though prepaid. Had to search for staff at checkout and check in. 5 alarms UpTo 4am disrupting sleep. Was told due to smokers. Staff in morning didn't know room was prepaid. Could hear snoring neighbor in next room.

Really enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent

Loved our stay here. Everything was very clean and nice! The room was stuffy - even opening the window didn’t help that much but we were thankful for the fan they provided.

There is no lift to carry luggage which limits some travelers. The hallways are air conditioned, but our room was not. With Ireland’s heatwave, this was very uncomfortable.

The rooms were amazing the rest of the hotel especially the exterior needs a good tidy up. It’s an old building and has a certain charm

Location was perfect!

The hotel does not have a lift, although we did get help from the restaurant/pub manager. The room was decent-sized and comfortable. Parking on-site. We were warned that the restaurant becomes a nightclub on Sat, so we might hear music until after midnight. I did, but it wasn't annoying. I think my wife was asleep before the band even started playing.

Too many stairs were a problem with luggage.
Good restaurant on property.

Stayed here for one Saturday night on a trip through Ireland. The hotel staff were great and very friendly throughout the stay. I also appreciated the guest pass to the leisure centre not too far away to go for a workout. The food at Cusacks was very good. It does turn into a night club at night time with a DJ until 2 AM which we had our room right above where this was going on. If that’s annoying to you I would recommend making sure your room is farthest from the bass pumping all night. I was able to sleep through it but if you can’t that’s something to take into consideration

I liked the parking, and even more, the kind friendly staff, eager to help resolve my vehicle problem, successfully done.

Don’t stay when they are running the nightclub, the noise is unbelievable

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the hotel was lovely rooms large comfortable and freshly decorated. Breakfast and the meals we had were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be to make it more obvious on booking sites that there is no lift or ground floor rooms available. Otherwise a great time was had by all in a lovely part of the world

My wife realised she had left her handbag in the dining area the previous evening. When she realised it was missing she immediately called reception and they located it within 5 minutes. Enormous relief to get our passports and wallet back untouched. So thankful to the staff for their prompt action honesty. 🙏🤗

Mixed review of the hotel.
The seems to be limited number of staff, so you probably will have to go looking for someone if you want something, even at reception.
All the corridors and some rooms are badly sloped, even before using the bar.
The basic rooms are small but comfortable, larger rooms are level and more comfortable.
They have access to gym and pool but this is the local leisure centre and not the hotels.
Decent car parking at back of hotel.

The staff in this hotel are exceptionally good. The rooms are very nicely decorated, with a large comfortable bed, powerful shower and perfectly clean. The only issue with this hotel is the abundance of stairs everywhere and no lift. The bedrooms are on the second floor, the toilets in the bar are up stairs, there is literally steps or stairs everywhere. We were informed of this before arrival but when youve bags and pushchairs dont these stairs repeatedly is quite cumbersome. Other the that it is a lovely hotel. The food is also really tasty.

What a great place. Room was great. Staff was awesome. On site supper and breakfast were out of this world. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was neat and quiet, the bed comfortable, the people friendly.
Once our luggage was in, was barely enough room to circulate between the bed and the bathroom.

Two-night solo stay, midweek, in July 2019. I was in a smallish double room with a queen bed, and slept very well. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient, and subsequently they were able to help me with numbers for local taxis. I did not have the breakfast but dined in the hotel bar one evening and had a substantial and delicious lasagne, salad and chips. The hotel is in the middle of town and is walkable from the railway station. There are various cafes and restaurants in the town and a good cafe (the LiberTea Rooms) opposite the hotel which serves a good cooked breakfast.Potential disabled visitors need to be aware that there is no lift. I was doing some genealogy research and the lady at the Tipperary Studies archive which is above the library (at The Source arts centre) was extremely helpful and efficient. Please note my stay was midweek, I don't know whether the adjoining night club/disco is loud at the weekends?

Hayes hotel and bar has a lot of history about it and lovely old bar with original fittings. The room was small but very tidy, the wifi didnt reach the bedroom but worked ok in the bar. Food was nice if a little mild (the Irish dont do spice apparently). free parking and great location
