Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Very convenient for visiting Winchester.

Wonderful stay for two nights at Two Bare Feet. I was in Little House. Absolutely lovely space. The bed is on a mezzanine, however comfortable and I was pleased there was a fan I could use to keep me cool on one of the hottest days of the year. The finishing touches in the bathroom all felt luxurious.

Great little find in Winchester, clean, tidy and homely. Just what we needed.

The shared living area was great with eggs Milk bread tea freshly ground coffee with a French press.... Lovely. BUT... the floors are wooden and look great, when late night guests come in with high heels on orceatlybtisers make microwaved scrambled eggs be prepared to be woken as sound proofing isn't great. The room we stayed in, the little house is very small, my advise is to move or get rid of the TV as in its current position it's no more than a radio. The stairs are very hard to negotiate as they are very steep. Some previous guests didn't like the lift bed, I didn'tind it as it was fun, but I couldn't sleep in it for more than a few nights. I feel sorry for the person who has to change the bedding! Overall I liked my stay, but would prefer a Premier Inn next time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the independence that Two Bare Feet gave me
Staying in conventional hotels around the country can become a chore.
Its location with its five minute walk into the city centre makes it ideal
The facilities and cleanliness were second to none.
Only thing to let it down is the lack of property parking but overnight parking is around £7.30 a night and is an inconvenience not ideal for everyone.
That said I would recommend it and would certainly stay there again
Many thanks again Hannah for the message of information that made checking in so easy

Arrival in the rain at the front door was a delayed entry due to lack of accurate directions.
1. Touch the lower left button
2. Touch 4 number code
3. Touch lower left button again
Wonderfully clean and well- stocked - including some fruit, tea, and bread.
Stairway to upper loft bedroom is narrow and has two flights with hand bar on right on lower level only. Bed warm and comfortable.
Good location for downtown and Winchester Cathedral and restaurants within walking distance.
One bathroom on lower floor. Shower wonderful!

The accommodation was clean and tidy although our neighbours was noisy and the walls are very thin we could hear their conversations and more.I would not recommend booking the accommodation called the small house if you are claustrophobic the lounge and mezzanine area have no windows only the bathroom which opens onto electricity boxes .The room called the waiting room is much better. The plus side is it’s location central to the city centre. Winchester is a lovely place with very nice friendly residents .

Choose Two Bare Feet as our accommodation when visiting the University. The rooms were more spacious than we thought, and the location was perfect. Will probably come back!

Our stay at Two Bare Feet was great. + The check-in process was smooth and provided in advance+ The accommodation was as described, nicely decorated and very clean+ The location is prefect for exploring Winchester and easily accessible from the train and bus stations+ The owner provided a number of food & drink recommendations - You can here some noise from the other rooms in the premises, but this is not a significant issue

The school house has been beautifully finished and the little touches of food were very welcomed. It is very well stocked with everything you need and a great location, walkable to everything in the centre of Winchester. The host very communicative and accommodating. Be aware when booking this has a communal kitchen and there are other guests staying in the house. I do not feel this is properly represented by hotels.com as discussed with the host.

The property is very nice decorated, well located and it’s very cozy and nice, the host was very welcoming with very informative emails and details around the property, like including breakfast and toiletries items but it’s an old building with no insulation or sound proofing at all, so if you are unlucky with your “neighbours” the ones who you are sharing the communal area with, well, it gets uncomfortable,
We shared the space with other two ladies who decided that cooking and chatting in the communal area between 2am and 3:30 am was ok.
They apologised next morning when challenged but they were smokers so they kept banging the main door in and out which is next to room 101.
For us it meant no rest the whole weekend, although we loved the experience and the city we would recommend the host to insulate the room doors so that way the noise in the communal area will not affect that much.

Beautifully appointed rooms in a great location, and a super-helpful owner. You have access to a beautiful kitchen shared with other guests

This is an unusual but pretty much perfect bolthole for a stay in Winchester. The apartment (mine was the Little House is immaculate with a stylish and slightly quirky decor - the antithesis of corporate hotel blandness. It has a seating area, spacious and light shower room and a mezzanine bed - very comfortable with the plumpfiest pillows I have ever slept on. Breakfast is is the kitchen/dining/sitting area which is shared with two other apartments - basics are provided (tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs) with an honesty box (actually a little elephant) for any extras. For other meals, there are numerous excellent cafes and restaurants very close by, if you dont want to cook (the kitchen is well equipped). The location is excellent, being in a quiet courtyard off Parchment Street (which has interesting independent shops), and very close to the city centre shops, cathedral and other sights. Its also an easy walk down from the railway station (though a slightly harder walk back up the hill at the end of your stay!)
