The property was easy to find, and instructions clear for parking and entry. The property was clean and comfortable. Private parking was great. The easy short walk into town made it easy to explore the city, and also central to explore the local area into New Forest and Portsmouth.

A well appointed apartment with everything you might need; comfortable bed, all kitchen equipment including a dishwasher, good wi-fi and off-street parking all within 5 mins walk from the high street.
Very clear communication with the owner. Would highly recommend the Garden Apartment.

We had a nice stay in Winchester in a clean Apartment 4.
Only the noice from the street was loud.

Lovely flat
Stayed in the garden flat for 5 nights. Clean, light and surprisingly spacious for a small flat. Had everything we needed and a quick 5 minute walk to the town centre. Parking at the rear and instructions for gate codes etc were spot on. Had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend. Lovely touch with the milk, biscuits etc. thank you

A small, but well equipped flat, with parking. It is close to the centre of Winchester and Winnall Moors Wildlife Reserve. A short walk to the Weirs, the High Street or the Cathedral. And a longer walk to the Viaduct or St Cross. On-line listing shows a washer/drier, but it is only a washer.

Feedback
Disappointed that it was not more like the pictures on the website.
The shower room needed an update and so did the kitchen. We felt it was expensive for what we got. We ate out in pub gardens because the kitchen was so small, so didn't cook. My husband made the comment that we could have stayed at the Hotel du Vin for less (if it had been open!!)
Having said that the position was great - we could walk to most places that we wanted to go. It was also great to be able to park off the road (apart from the birds making a terrible mess on the car! But that happens in most cities. ) We also appreciated the quick response both times that we had a small problem. Thanks for having us, Viv

Good central location of nice ground floor flat with garden area.
Good sized bedroom, dining/kitchen/sofa bed area only big enough for two guests. Well equipped kitchen. We ate out all the time as we gather most people do. A bit noisy especially when raining on skylights.

Lovely Stay
I had a lovely stay in this property, the location is very central yet quiet with the town centre a short walk in one direction and parks, rivers and nature reserves in the other. The little outdoor courtyard is a gorgeous sun trap & the apartment is spacious and has all the amenities you need. Caroline was very prompt with all communication and the stay was incredibly easy.

Lovely garden flat - very convenient location
Compact but comfortable flat with patio door from bedroom into small courtyard garden. The unit we stayed in was on back of the property so no road noise. Very convenient for walking most places in Winchester. Small Sainsbury’s within 5 min walk.
Caroline was very responsive to any questions or if any issues arose. Would highly recommend staying here.
4.7
Good location, close to everything
Apartment was easy and quick to get to and close to everything. Inside it was nicely equipped and very clean. Access instructions were clear but we never saw owner. Negative aspect was how small unit was, especially for the price. Smallest apt by half of 5 we rented and second most expensive.

Very good accommodation for enjoying Winchester. The location was ideal only a short walk into Winchester with it's history, restaurants, market & shops. Also added bonus of safe off road parking. Although we never meet Caroline the information pack that she sent was very good & gave us all the information that we required.

Very enjoyable
Caroline was a wonderful host. Very accommodating. The flat was in wonderful location. Only a few minute walk to High Street and about a 12 minute walk to the University of Winchester. I would stay here again.

The apartment was ideally situated few minutes walk to historic city and immediate access to a beautiful park . it had everything needed for a holiday base.

Lovely flat and lovely hosts
The location is just minutes from the center of town.and yet very quiet and safe. The main things I would "change" would be the addition of a full length mirror, and some new dish towels.

Park Place had it all, location, well equipped, clean.
We enjoyed our stay at Park Place. It was a very short walk to the center of town to shop, close to the bus park (we had decided not to rent a car), and not far from the train station. We had loads of restaurants, stores, and bakeries to choose from and Winchester Cathedral was about 4 city blocks away. The owner, Caroline, was most helpful and we would go back there anytime.
4.7
Excellent choice.
A modern and comfortable temporary home, well-equipped. Very helpful and attentive owners. The wifi was free and reliable. The property is very central and the dedicated parking space a major benefit. All in all an excellent choice which made our visit to Winchester and our trips to the many attractions within a day's drive all the more enjoyable.

Excellent accommodation
The owners, David and Caroline, were on hand to give us any support we needed. We walked into the flat and immediately saw the roses and chocolates that they had left for us. What a lovely touch! The flat is close to the High Street, the bus station and the rail station. There is a bus stop very near to the flat that goes to a big Tesco for groceries. As we didn't have a car, this was most helpful, although just a few minutes down Middle Brook Street is a Sainsbury's and a Marks and Spencer with a food hall. There are lots of interesting shops in the pedestrianized High Street. Most of the tourist sites are within walking distance - the Cathedral, the Great Hall with the Round Table, the Mill, the Abbey Gardens. We took some day trips using the local buses.

Wonderful place to live near Winchester city centr
My partner and I stayed almost one year in Carolines and Davids house in Winchesters Park Avenue. We occupied the apartments 2 and 1 each for some time. The apartments are small and functional but also cosy, and the landlady has been always kind and helpful. The house is perfectly situated between Winnall Moore, a beautiful nature reserve and Winchester town centre. 2 minutes walk to a gym in a Tudor building. 5 minutes walk to several supermarkets and the High Street with its almost daily markets, individual shops, good restaurants, Cafés and pubs. The Cathedral is only a short walk further. We both loved it there very much, the more quiet apartment one has also a direct access to a nice little patio and is more quiet than the No one that faces to the busy North Walls. The apartments have WiFi, TV and come with a very useful private parking. Train station is only 10 min walk up North Walls. If a good fate should bring us ever back to Winchester my first call would be to Caroline be it for a short or a long stay.

Holiday in winchester
The flat is very confortable with a beautiful View. It is 5 minute at the centre of Winchester. We found the flat clean and well maintained. I recommend this property who wants to visit Winchester. The owner has provided to us everything we wanted. We spent 15 days in relax.

Beautiful apartment close to the city centre.
A really pleasant stay in a lovely modern and well maintained apartment that is in a quiet location only a short walk away from the high street, Cathedral etc. On arrival the property was easy to access (there is off-street parking) and Caroline was contactable via phone and email throughout our stay. The 'Garden Flat' is very well presented throughout and the patio doors in the bedroom lead to a pleasant shared garden area. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils although there are plenty of very good restaurants just a stones throw away! If visiting Winchester again would definitely stay here!

The apartement is very well maintained, very clean and nicely furnished. The house has all amenities, like a washing machine and a dishwasher. Although the apartment is nearby a busy street, there is no traffic noise. The apartment has its own parking space for one car and a small garden. It is by no means a small apartment, but I think it is only suitable for two persons.
The beautiful city center, the Cathedral and the main shopping streets (with a Sainsbury supermarket and a Marks & Spencer food hall) are less than 5 minutes walk away. There are plenty of nice pubs, restaurants and a cinema in the city centre, so these are also only a few minutes walk away.
We have had contact with the owner only via email, some phone calls and some sms messages, but the directions given by email were clear and the owner was friendly.
We liked some pubs very much, especially The Old Vine and The Wykeham's Arms and also (although it's an Wetherspoon pub) The Old Goal. We can also recommend the Loch Fyne restaurant (nice food in beautiful historic building). We have of course also visited the Cathedral and been to two evensongs (I can recommend it if you like church music). We have also visited the historic house of Mottisfont, which we enjoyed very much.
All in all, we have had a great vacation and we can highly recommend this apartment and the city of Winchester!

Property was impressively clean and maintained over the whole period of two months of my stay. The owners are very attentive to every need of the lodgers.
I would warmly recommend both the property and the landlords to any future lodgers. Just some other benefits I enjoyed during my stay are: first class casual basis gym (New Energy) just 100m away from the property, midtown market at the door step, view from a door step on a medieval church, river and park in the background of the property. Winchester by the way has the best restaurants in England and services at those restaurants are superb. Especially can recommend brassiere Blanc. Winchester cathedral, churches and castles are well known, but I was personally impressed with the fact that Jane Austen is Winchester's own and has a place in the cathedral.

My family are repeat visitors to Park House. The property is located on a quiet, tree-lined street only a five minute walk from the centre of Winchester and all its attractions. The photos on the site give an accurate depiction of the flats/apartments. The first thing I notice when I arrive is how clean and well-appointed the flats are. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking- pots, pans, lots of cutlery, things you wouldn't realize you'd miss if they weren't on hand- everything. Due to the proximity of several supermarkets, it is easy to purchase groceries and walk a few minutes back to cook up your heart's desire. Mind you, there are also many restaurants nearby, in every direction- everything from delicious Chinese to Michelin-starred marvels. New to the area on our first visit, we asked the owner of the property what to do and where to go in Winchester. She took a real interest in helping us, pointing out places everyone must see in such a historic city, and also giving us "the Knowledge" of places off the beaten track that take years to discover without such helpfulness. The owner of the property is a star, always a phone call away if you need her. I have recommended the Park House to family members. Recently, my mother also went to stay there. She loved it. She said it was so clean that she felt compelled to keep it that way, which she did. The showers have strong water pressure ( the lack of which is one of my pet peeves in other locales). My family and I will be back. We are from Bermuda, so it is quite a treck getting there, but well worth it. Stay here- you will be delighted!

We have stayed many times at Park House. Our daughter lives about three minutes away. We have stayed at different venues in Winchester, but this is our favorite. We have stayed in all the apartments at various times. There were a few problems. I could not make the washing machine work in the Garden Apartment and we had trouble with the Internet at one point. Caroline tries to take care of problems immediately. We wake up early sometimes before the heat is scheduled to come on, but upon explaining this, Caroline set the times earlier for us. The flats can be a bit noisy as they are on the busy street. We are responsible for leaving the apartment clean, but that is part of the deal. But the rooms are comfortable and clean. They are close to Winnal Moor, great for walking. The center of Winchester, with all it's delights, is a short walk. A leisure center is almost across the street where there are classes, machines and swimming. Train and bus stations are convenient. And Caroline left vases of fresh flowers. Homey!
