Stayed here before, this time was good too, would recommend.

Very central, rooms are huge, modern space with shared kitchen and coworking space. It s a very loud courtyard and the bar plays music loud. Things get quiet after 11pm so just don’t expect quiet before that.
Breakfast is great!

As an older guy I was surprised that the room I was assigned was “co-ed”. Roomies are all super respectful of each others privacy! No issues at all. I really like this place. Near Centro and lots of other shopping opportunities. Would recommend to all!

Right in the middle of town, which is nice! But very loud with no insulation and old windows. Nice for a night or two, but sleeping was disturbed.
Excellent breakfast and coffee!

We had an incredible stay at Selina in Oaxaca! The room was comfortable, and the atmosphere and views from the roof were lovely. The central location made exploring the city a breeze. David at the reception was friendly and incredibly helpful, providing fantastic recommendations for the Christmas period. I highly recommend Selina to anyone visiting Oaxaca!

Not a good experience...the "security guard" is completely unhinged - absolutely mad behaviours by said individual. At around 11pm the night of my arrival, he came galloping over to me at a workspace as if I was implementing a global meltdown and frantically started relocating me to another place. The following morning I was up at 6:45am and minding my own business when my phone for literally seconds started playing a YouTube video full volume. Within a few more seconds before I could mute it, the same guy comes charging over (it's not that early....almost 7am in a hostel?) and literally looses his mind! I've nevrr experienced behaviours like this by staff...this guy in particular treats the place like it's his own personal echo chamber and that it's a privilege for you to be there! Aside from the above, the place is really nice, so the latter is a shame and the desk staff were friendly. The room, however, had no windows and though fine, wasn't as good as other Selinas.

The hotel has a great location, one block from the main pedestrian street. The rooftop bar has a great view and you can meet people from around the world, yes around the world, I had the opportunity to meet people from Madrid, Switzerland, and London. I arrive early to the hotel and they were able to save my backpack. They have lockers in case that you have your lock if not they can sell you one. The staff so friendly, the security guard open the door and was really friendly. I had to work one day and I reserved the office to work. And trust me the internet is really fast. Definitely, I'll stay again. Thank you Selina. P.d. as a guest, they give you a bracelet, i still have it the design is so cute 😜

We had a lovely time at Selina for 6 days and 5 nights. Since we work while traveling, fast internet is our top priority. Selina definitely delivers and having a private room with a desk is the cherry on top for long work calls. The room was comfortable although a little noisy since it’s on the corner of a busier street.

I've stayed at Selinas throughout Central America and I like that I can rely on them for beautiful design, good food, and fun activities (yoga, massage, events, etc.)Rooms can vary a lot so don't be afraid to ask to be moved within your category if you don't love what you get.

The location was perfect- just a few minutes walk from the main attractions in the center of town. Overall the place is pretty well kept except I noticed the bathrooms did not get much attention throughout the day and were not cleaned/paper towels refilled daily. Other than that, the rooftop bar was nice and had some programming like yoga and salsa dancing. Even so, it was a little harder to meet people here than at other Selina locations.

The hotel itself is quite nice, well-decorated, clean, comfortable bed and the location is very centric. But be aware that there’s a roof top bar playing loud music until late at night. I stayed on a weekend night and the guests in the room right next to me played music very loudly all night long(until 2 am I think), but nothing has been done from the hotel admin. Also you get to hear all the cars passing by if you get a room assigned facing the street.

If possible, I wouldn’t stay again. It is more a hostal than hotel. Expensive for cost-benefit relationship. It doesn’t worth it. Shared bathroom. Not well working. Not toiletries. Noisy. But friendly staff.

Selina Oaxaca gives Oaxaca a bad name To not have my room I booked , for me to wait a couple hours for you to sort out your system to offer me a subpar room as a substitute, for me to kindly accept for that one night due to the fact that I am exhausted from traveling -I am a foreign female traveling alone I thought it was best for me not to search for suitable quarters at another place at 8:30 pm in the night , for me to explain that I will not be staying the duration in the Selina Oaxaca subpar room and quarters that I did not book and explain that I would leave in the and yet Selina Oaxaca to still expect payment for 3 nights when I stayed one night ., no this is not ethical , fair , friendly, decent or respectable for any business to operate in this space . I demand that this escalated.as this reflects poorly on Expedia also

Really bad experience at Selina:
1/ no hot water
2/ private double room, the window couldn’t close! important to point out that temperatures in oaxaca from 6/7pm are 10 to 15 degrees. We were so cold all night! And of course no hot water
3/ Tour booked at réception : did not mention the guide DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. And we paid 300 vs 180 in town - a scam!!
4/ Disgusting shared bathrooms
5/ very noisy until 1am..
Réception not helpful, gave us a number leasing to voicemail
Overall OVERPRICED - will Chase to get a refund, for 100€+ a night, unacceptable service

At first glance this hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly but it’s honestly one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The water is a huge concern for anyone who is not conditioned for Mexican water. The water in our sink ran brown often. We paid for a private room with our own bathroom and the entire room smelled like a portable toilet the majority of our stay. The shower also never had warm water. We really tried to give it a chance since we are after all in Mexico but we visited plenty of other hotels during our week stay and their water and bathrooms were leaps and bounds more sanitary and at the same price point. After 3 days my wife became very ill and had to go to a clinic. And to add to our frustrations the hotel also has a roof top bar next to the top floor rooms where we were staying. One the weekends they have live music and DJs until 2am which is understandable for the bar but why put guests in rooms close to a Dj set? Overall I wouldn’t stay at this hotel chain again.
