The property and rooms are beautiful, but I wish there was more shade by the pools. The tub in the room was the most comfortable I've experienced. The food was good - we enjoyed the many selections. Maid service and whoever stocked drinks were terrible. What really sucked was that they ignored my birthday!

This hotel has nothing to do. The only thing is a pool: NO activities, NO fun, NO beach. Traveling from the USA to be in a pool is not fun at all.
The hotel says "ADULT ONLY" and is full of stairs, which are not safe or comfortable for adults.
There is no cleaning protocol, in the buffet room, my husband (80-year-old) slipped on a wet floor with no sign. The worst thing is with a plate full of food in your hand.
In short, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

I will recomend to enjoy your buffet with Bladi our favorite server he efforts so much to give you the best service. After work he take some english classes and he loves to practice what he is learning. Overall we love RIU Palace. We will come back!

I did not like how noisy it was.my room was next to the stage. However i did like it was not so huge. But it was really noisy. And the staff were noisy early in the mornings. Just a loud place. I wont stay there again because of that.

I did not like the steak house,Your fillet mignon was dry along with your Lobster Tail.
The Shrimp cocktail was good, along with your fresh Bread.
I did not like your Mexican Restaurant, the fish tacos were Bad,too fishy
Your Chicken Enchiladas were good.
I also like the tortilla soup and your red ceviche,
Your Breakfast Buffet was the best, lunch options were okay.
I did enjoy your Asian Restaurant, enjoyed the variety,Also the spice and sauce were right on

The views were really nice as well as the staff. Drinks were really watered down which is expected from an all-inclusive resort. The buffet food and staff were very good. The restaurants were alright.

I did a solo vacation to Cabo, staying at Riu Baja. Overall, I felt safe, there were a ton of dining options for every taste, and it was very clean.
I don’t know that the staff was overly friendly at the front desk and the dining area, but they were pleasant.
Loved the spa.

Very friendly and hard working!!
Beautiful views, good food and the alcohol wasn’t bad as i thought it would be! They had a good selection of liquor and what were used to in the US. And drinks a as well!
Really good experience overall

Loved our stay at the Riu! Several cuisine options with great food and drinks. Very clean hotel, recently remodeled with tons of upgrades. Spa was excellent. Pool area was fun and lively and lots to do throughout the week for all; traveled with our kids aged 18 & 21 and my parents in their 70’s and we all had a blast. Something for everyone there. Would go back!

The noise and echoes of everything happening in the hallways 24-7 was ridiculous. I would not have chose this place if I knew it was a party house almost around the clock.

Made some friends while there and saw the management around all the time in every area of the resort. The service was great and the food was good.

This property is perfect for someone who wants the all inclusive experience because everything you need is truly on the property. There was a wide variety of food and the daily activities made it feel like every day was unique. The staff were really accommodating, and even if there was a language barrier, we were able to understand each other in time.

The ONLY thing that was ok was the entertainment. The food options were terrible and the buffet felt like a college cafeteria and zero ambience. The pool umbrellas were ripped and sun damaged. We did pay for the Elite club so we were able to utilize the Cabana's and they were nice. The server's at the Cabana area Johnathan and Mario were excellent. Our room was fine but for being an Elite room the paint was chipped in some places. The water in the room was NOT drinking water so we had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. Really the only reason someone would want to stay here is to party.

My stay at the RIU wasn’t long but it was everything it needed to be. Staff is friendly and attentive but not too overbearing. If you’re not a Spanish speaker it’s not a problem they’re very good at communicating with you. They don’t offer free transportation from the airport to the hotel so be aware of that. The rooms were clean and our balcony view was very nice my only complaint is our room was next to their electrical boxes and it was slightly too loud. The hotel is new and not outdated at all and they are always up keeping the grounds. The restaurants on the property were very easy to get into for dinner (you can’t make reservations it’s first come first serve) We tried the steakhouse and meat was a little bland and we waited for our food for a while but overall you can’t complain. Food at the property was surprisingly good for an all inclusive but some food items weren’t the best. The pool layout is slightly awkward and wasn’t my favorite but the view to the ocean is perfect. DRINKS!! Honestly they were all very light I recommend taking shots the whole trip or asking for an extra shot on the side of your mixed drink. Book your excursions with the people on the beach! Way cheaper and they offer more options don’t listen to the people that try to defer you, the salesmen are nice people just trying to make a living and their prices are always negotiable.Loved how close the hotel was to the nightlife all Ubers under 10.Definitely would stay at the RIU again if I go to Cabo.

Great Resort overall. The buffet was very small and limited on food options. I choose the Ellite Club option and highly recommended.

First, I want to start with the positives. The customer service was great. The resort manager, Cesar, was excellent and tried to make the stay pleasurable. Our room was decent and clean. Refrain from being deceived by the pictures. The Marketing for this resort has done an amazing job making the RIU look awesome. It is far from it. The food was absolutely terrible. It was cafeteria-style and more like school food. The steakhouse was awful. The Mexican restaurant was OK. It was the best out of all choices. Everyone in the family had stomach issues by the end of the trip. I got crackers, and it was the best meal I ate at the resort. It was filthy, and the pool area lacked shade. The umbrellas were beaten up and provided no shade as they were old and worn. The cabanas were stained, and the shades were torn and worn. The noise levels were off the charts. People were so rude and loud in the hotel hallways. When the room service dishes were collected in the mornings, it sounded like pots and pans banging together. We have stayed at six different resorts in Cabo, and this one was the worst. We will never stay here again. It is unfortunate because there are a lot of small things that they could do to make it so much better. I am in property management, and the small things matter. Spend money on the pool area as everyone is there all day. The average temperature in Mexico is 82 degrees. People want shade in the summer months as it is very hot.
