Our room that we had booked was given away to other hotel guests. They gave us another room which then we had to check out the next morning and transfer to another room. Our new room was not ready until later that day and we wasted a whole day waiting around. Had to cancel a day of fishing because of the room switch.

Everything was really good, besides some small details like charging a lot for Internet service or not allowing to take fresh fruit into the pool área...
Some of the persona in the staff aré too picky and too rígid in simple rules

My family and I spent a week at Villa del Palmer the last week of July.
Pros:
Armando at the Bell Desk was amazing! He was friendly and offered great suggestions on restaurants and sites.
The views from our room were spectacular!
Carlos was our poolside server, and he was friendly and prompt.
The pizza was great!
The whale slide is really cool!
Cons:
The Front Desk staff was not friendly and made you feel like you were bugging them.
After checking in, we were hounded multiple times about attending the timeshare presentation. We were exhausted from an 8-hour travel day and just wanted to relax.
Staff does not monitor the number of people "reserving" chairs by the pool. You have to be poolside by 7 to get a spot that hasn't been marked by people with towels who don't come back for hours.
Our stay was good, and we would most likely return.

Overall I was satisfied with the property, entertainment and the food. The property itself is poorly maintained. There was only one working elevator for 8 floors and a basement. There was a leak in my room for two days and my room was only cleaned one out of the four days I was there. I would not return, but it was sufficient for the cost.

Booked this stay as it’s advertised as All Inclusive. When booking my package I filtered All Inclusive resorts only. Somehow Expedia still offers this location even though they have different options of stays. I booked a junior suite, to my surprise it was only the room. We arrived to the property and were told of the booking. The property offered to upgrade to All inclusive for an extra 2k!!! For a family of 4 it was $420 a day. We tried one day of the meal plan to see if the food was worth it. Honestly it was not. The only buffet options are breakfast and dinner in order to watch the show they have nightly. The pool side service, really depends on who you get. The resort offers different packages for different guests. I guess it’s also a time share location. The pool area is small, the pool lounge chairs are crowded. If you aren’t out there about 7am you won’t get a seat. Until about 3pm when people start to leave. The kids pool is near one of the restaurants and your kids can’t splash. If you are eating at the restaurant after being in the pool, the staff get upset that you are wetting the chairs. Outdoor restaurant by the way. The all inclusive guest were limited on the amount of items they could order at a time. We opted for paying as we stayed, we spent way less than the 2k. The housekeeping is an additional cost. The show is only to accommodate those eating at the buffet, and you have to get there at 6pm or you won’t get in. Overall not a pleasant stay for our family.

I just got back from 5 days here for a bachelorette party and I would definitely stay here again! We did the all-inclusive package. Our room was clean. (You can hear a little noise from the hallway/lobby through the door, but it wasn't bothersome.) Though the building hallways and elevators were warm, our room's AC worked well, thankfully. We truly enjoyed the staff and their service at every bar, restaurant, and counter on the property. They had a great sense of humor, were helpful when we had questions, and accommodating for dietary restrictions. Because the resort was very full during the week we went, service was sometimes slow, but we didn't mind. All of the food was DELICIOUS. It was my dream come true to be able to eat shrimp tacos, guacamole, and sushi for lunch every day! I really appreciated how the taco restaurant had a consistent daily menu while the other restaurant's dinner menu/theme changed every night. The views from our tables were gorgeous, overlooking the ocean and the famous rocks. We even got to see leaping manta rays! We enjoyed the nightly shows and corresponding meals (tip: get in line early!). I loved being able to pop into the pool or ocean whenever. We were able to walk down the beach a bit to get a water taxi over to the marina or other restaurants further down. The gym, spa (next door), and pickleball were fun too. Concierge was able to call us a taxi whenever we needed. Overall a great experience!

To many people not many restaurants. That goes with rrying to get a drink only 1 bar tender for the pool bars.
