Our Butlers Maxwell and Sharell were amazing!! Great time and excellent food!

The Royalton was such a wonderful experience, we had a great time at all the shows.

I stayed at the hotel while it was under construction, and unfortunately, the mold and debris caused serious irritation to my sinuses, leading to poor sleep and congestion. The building really needs to be remodeled in sections so guests aren’t disrupted by workers loudly babbling obscenities. The strong smell of paint and chemicals also made it uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the food quality and services have dropped significantly. I had to search for staff to serve drinks, and by the time they arrived—well into my meal—they brought the wrong drink.

My family and I have stayed at numerous Royalton resorts over the years, we have made may recommendations to friends and family. However after our 2023 Grenada we not impressed but still decided to give Antigua Royalton a try as the hotel looked amazing. The Antigua resort is very far from keeping with the “luxury restort” experience. From unfriendly check in to very rude and abrasive service at the restaurants. The only time we felt we were on a vacation was at Hunters where Dale was super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our dinning experience was exceptional. Management needs to address the abundance of flies on tables and the open buffet at Marche. Imagine bottled water was hard to get, one more a child in our party was unwell and I was sent to the cafe then to the bar then to the lobby bar …still no water, I ended up going to the front desk to ask for water where I was told to hold on, after waiting for more than 15 mins my family left and ventured into town where we bought bottled water. The desserts at the cafe was redundant daily. When families go to an island for a vacation ( where we spend a lot of money ) the least we expect is good service and exceptional food. This is our last Royalton Resort…

The dampness and mold is surreal. More than I’ve ever experienced on any island resort. As soon as you enter the hotel room lobby the scent wafts at your face. I can’t even imagine how many spores we inhaled in our week there. The higher up in floors you are, the less invasive it gets, but it’s def too much to handle.
The absolute best was the beach and beach access. We loved it and spent most of our time on the beach. We felt safe and unsmoothered. It was absolutely beautiful and picturesque.
The food situation was basically as every other reviewer described. If you weren’t a diamond club member, you couldn’t eat until 9-10pm or ended up getting stuck with the buffet. Over all it was a nice time, but the majority of staff wasn’t happy to be where they were. And you could feel it in the service.

Beautiful hotel and super helpful staff. Lots of dining options. The food quality was good but was expected to be better. Enjoyed the stay a d entertainment.

We had an awesome time at the Royalton resort.

Checkin takes forever, all thought it begins at 3. We didn’t get a room till 5:30 and we traveling with our young daughter . Then, the buffet was always running out of food no matter if you came early or late. It was ridiculous. One day they told us the whole island didn’t have eggs yet there were French toasts being made. The rooms are on the smaller end and a lot of the rooms had a serious mold issues. There are three onsite restaurants and we were told no reservations are needed, which is false because without reservations you won’t get a table or wait a very long time. Also, the staff treated us poorly and if we didn’t have diamond club status, they didn’t care at all for you. We won’t ever come back here nor recommend this hotel to anyone because how bad our experience was.

Horrible check In service, timing was very bad supposed to check 3pm , ended up checking in 2.5 hours after and they tell you next 5 minutes which turns into hours

The food suck and thing they need better menu because if we spending a lot of money for the hotel the food and restaurant needs to be in point

Overall great resort. It’s beautiful & safe. Did not get any bug bits Food was pretty good considering an all inclusive. Most Staff were helpful and accommodating. Few things the resort needs to improve on… There are not any baby changing stations in the main areas or restaurants. Some rooms are dated. You cannot reserve a king or queen bed. It’s all dependent on availability at the time you arrive. The hotel focuses on the Diamond club who get priority on everything. Even reserving restaurants is an issue. Mostly booked out for the Diamond club members unless you arrive at 6pm sharp. After 7pm it’s hard to get into the nice restaurants and you have to use the buffet. No place is perfect but for a high end resort for which we are already paying a premium to stay, we expected better.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Royalton Hotel Antigua, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this establishment was a far cry from the luxury and hospitality it claimed to offer.
The incident that truly encapsulates the incompetence and negligence of this hotel occurred on Thursday, August 8th. While dining in the restaurant, I fell on a wet floor that had just been mopped by the staff. Despite noticing the slippery surface and bringing it to their attention, no wet floor signs were placed to warn guests. As a result, I suffered a painful fall, injuring my elbow and causing me to drop two plates. I was then forced to seek medical attention and incur a hefty fee of USD 780 at a private hospital.
Throughout this ordeal, the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by the hotel staff was appalling. Despite many promises of contact to be made by executive members to address the situation, no action was taken, and we were left feeling neglected and ignored. Moreover, the deplorable state of the hotel's facilities only added insult to injury. The rooms were dirty and smelly, with bathrooms that were nothing short of a health hazard. Moldy floors, leaking shower enclosures, and visible mold outside our room door were just a few of the issues we encountered. Food quality was abysmal, staff were unprofessional unless given tips. I will not be returning to this franchise.

Beautiful resort. Restaurant only gives priority to Diamond club members. Unable to book reservations for reservation dining in the evening. Staff were friendly. No baby changing station in restrooms. Resort needs upgrade

The property was cool. Only thing I did not like was that I didn’t have a room available to me until 7pm which I have never experienced.
Staff at Grazie restaurant had attitudes, seems as if they did not want to be there.
Overall, my experience with Joyce-Ann & Marlon was great, they made my group and I feel comfortable and at ease despite the minor issues mentioned above.

Went on a group family vacation. Check in was not the greatest but no fault of Royalton because I did not book directly thru the resort. However once things were straightened out after arriving at 12pm I didn't get in my room until almost 6pm so a day was pretty much wasted. The staff Jeanique and Yarnkarlos was wonderful and very helpful my entire check-in process. Shoutout to them! There was a shortage of washcloths they were never changed my entire stay so housekeeping gave my family additional hand towels. Thankfully I packed my own and some disposable washcloths. The housekeeper Ann was a gem and we appreciated the assistance she was able to provide. The trip went as planned for our group of almost 60 people. I've stated at Royalton resorts in other countries and this stay was my not like the others so my expectations went lower and lower each day. My room key never worked. Back and forth to front desk over and over to reprogram it and it still didn't work so I had to rely on my family or staff to open the door. Flies were out of control and trying to eat each day whether inside or outside it didn't matter they were everywhere in excess. One flew into my juice the waitresss noticed it but didn't bother to replace my drink. There were times the sports bar was out of food and only serving fries and one of the bars was out of bottled water. After 4 days I can say I was ready to go home. Royalton Antigua must do better for the amount of money that was spent for our stay.

Very rude stuff

Chose of food was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Checking in was at 3pm, we arrived at 3 but did not get our room until 5pm. Also we specifically requested a room on ground floor, because me and my sister do not take lifts and my mum who is 90 is not mobile. When we checked in we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor. I advised staff that this was not suitable and we were then moved to ground floor.

Everything was perfect except when we bathe the water links umder the floor and floods the bathroom

The resort was situated in a beautiful location that was flat that enabled me to travel within the property well due to my use of a motorized scooter as I'm disabled.
There were always chairs available by the pool and/or beach. The size of the Royalton property was just right.
I didn't like that the restaurants couldn't accommodate a reservation unless you were a Diamond Member which I wasn't informed about until I arrived at the resort. I was able to get around this issue making RSVP requests with Guest Services who were excellent. The resort could use some interior and exterior updating, but nothing that was dramatic. My family met friends who were very nice which made the trip much better too.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Royalton Antigua, and I cannot praise this resort enough. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
The property itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds, luxurious amenities, and breathtaking views. The rooms were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring and enjoying the resort’s numerous activities.
However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the outstanding service, particularly from Vanessa. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and looked after throughout our stay. Vanessa's attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for our comfort made a significant difference. Whether it was arranging special requests or simply checking in to see how we were doing, Vanessa made us feel like
Royalton Antigua offers a wide range of activities and entertainment, ensuring there is never a dull moment. We enjoyed everything from water sports to relaxing by the pool, and the nightly shows were a fantastic way to end our days.
In summary, our stay at Royalton Antigua was perfect, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Vanessa.

Beautiful location and the beach was amazing!

Lovely property
Good Options for food in restaurant but there should be a candy or snack station somewhere as well for more savory options.
Pool Should be open a little longer in the summer 7pm
Caribbean Restaurant needs dessert options
The cafe should be open until 12 midnight or room service should have more options
Did not like the cats on compound
Lovely staff and amenities
Room temperature should be adjustable (too cold at night)

This property has the potential of being a 5 star resort, unfortunately because of the poor management and company policies its a 2 maybe a 3 star.

We have several complaints about the hotel:
1. Given a one bedroom instead of 2 that was booked and hotel was not able to accommodate!
2. Water in shower and taps smells off.
3.Aircon and room moldy. Sheets and our clothes constantly damp.
4. Floors are constantly damp and slippery/sticky.
5. Room generally uncomfortable to sleep in
6. Curtains need laundering - very dirty
7. Food at buffet repetitive and boring with flies everywhere making it difficult to discern what food is fresh or not. Limited options for chicken as we do not eat beef or pork, which was on menu daily.
8. Area around pool smells like urine
9. On occasion water served at restaurants had to be bottled as tap water had a funny taste.
Overall for the price of the hotel package it was very disappointing and not worth the money considering it was a brand hotel, and is a disservice to the Antiguan government and tourism.

flies flies flies! in the restaurant on the food, tables.. everything.. get or install a blowers at entrance door ways.😞

Mosquitoes and Roaches in the property’s restaurants.
Our room’s floor was damp and wet.
Check in took around an hour — not a lot of staff to handle the crowd. Restaurants are usually full and requires reservations and doesn’t have walk ins.
Avoid it until they improve the facilities.

So the location and the resort itself was beautiful. The staff were friendly and some went the extra mile. Check in could have been better as nothing was explained to us about breakfast, restaurants to eat at and how booking them worked etc.
we then later discovered you couldn’t book unless you were in the diamond club! What’s that? You pay extra, despite paying £5000 for 8 nights, so that you had the ability to book a restaurant! This meant being turned away on 4 of the nights as they had to accommodate diamond club members! I get that the staff were only abiding by a policy that the Marriot group have introduced but only disappoints all of the other guests! The pool area was lovely but could have been maintained a little better. Missing tiles on corners where kids get in nd out of the pool etc just wasn’t why you’d expect from a five star resort. However if you overlook this then you’ll be in for. Great stay and the staff are amazing.

Not worth the money

Property is walkable. There was too much emphasis on Dimond Club members. We were reminded that they receive preferential treatment at every event; dining and pool area.

This resort was AMAZING the staff was so friendly & welcoming. The resort looks just like the pictures the food was good. I would recommend this place but bring extra cash for taxis because there are no Ubers or lifts on the island. I will definitely be coming back!😊

I absolutely loved my stay. Food was delicious, every single staff member went above and beyond, and were very friendly. The shows, poolside dancing, music, everything was so fun! I feel refreshed and rejuvenated, I will definitely return in the future.

Beautiful pool and beach. I’m used to more planned activities at an all inclusive and more food options. The restaurants were sub par except the Italian one. My room smelled old

staff was helpful and polite, and the complimentary balloons were lovely. Champagne was requested in the room days before arrival given that 3 things were being celebrated during the stay but it was not received.
