Fab 4 day trip. Really loved the freedom of self check in/keypad entry. Stayed on ground floor, Room 1. It was clean and spacious. Found the fridge very handy. On the top floor the pool area was spotless and very private. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

Not a pleasant experience at all apart from it being very clean and close to the main square and beach. Of my two nights stay, internet did not work for a day. After spending morning in the beach, came to rest in my room in the afternoon only to be greeted by banging maintenance work outside the room. No courteous notice or even an apology. When queried about internet, the person spoke carrying the work spoke as if it didnt matter. Yes, it didnt matter because I had 4g on phone but wifi is a basic amenity now a days.I have never stayed in a hotel which does not provide a kettle in the room or even a tele but hey, there's first time for everything! So even for a simple coffee, one has to go out.

Excellent location just off the main square, had a few issues with intermittent wifi and no kettle, but theses issues were quickly resolved by the owner, all in all a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

This property is conveniently located a stone throw away from the Centre and walking distance to the beach. The room is extremely small. There is no daily housekeeping and towels are changed every 3 days. Other than instructions on how to set the code on the safe, there is no other information. The people managing this property don’t speak a word of English so it’s impossible getting something resolved with them let alone finding them when you need some help or have a question.

A great place to stay, very clean with friendly and helpful staff- beach a short walk away
Pool area is lovely, clean and never busy.
Rooms are not completely noise free as Casa Malpique is very close to many touristy British bars which stay open well into the early hours and have a somewhat questionable taste in music/karaoke. Although this did not interrupt my sleep, the location may be something potential guests may wish to bear in mind.

Hotel had great potential everything that had already been completed is of an excellent standard but be prepared for a working progress. When the renovation is completed the accommodation will be spot on. Unfortunately whilst we were there the work was ongoing. Not a suitable place for the elderly or infirm. We were asked to use the spiral fire stairs outside as the main stair case from reception to pool level had not been renovated. The only staff member that we spoke to was the assistant manager who was lovely but quite unorganised we were assigned the wrong room, then two days later asked to move again etc . Location is great if your there for the nightlife. Pool is lovely and private. We had room service once in four nights but had to request it so may be worth confirming how often the maid should be replacing towels etc

There is no parking here. Our search criteria included parking, but there is none. Instead, you must park at the top of a very steep Travessa and lug your cases up and down several hundred meters and the equivalent of probably 6 staircases. Google maps will try to get you there, but you'll end up driving in the public square with waiters chasing after you (ask me how I know...)
There was no daily maid service, despite the claim there is. The woman checked us in the first day and we never saw another soul ever again. I ended up having to steal another toilet roll from behind the desk when we ran low.
There might be a pool here. We were never told how to access it.
