400 year old place. Dining area very rustic, which we loved. The towel warmer didn’t work but the room was very nice . Great place for the money!

The girls running the place very nice and helpful …. Chef was out so breakfast was not great and the beds and pillow not comfy. The inn was nice from the outskirts de modern on the side pub very busy at night… they suggested a Thai restaurant down the street since the chef was sick if pizza not your taste for the evening and the Thai restaurant was quite good…

The Garrandarragh doesn't look so great from the exterior unless you like pubs, but the rooms are great. I had a giant double room, with AC (not needed), big tv and peaceful.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We arrived late due to attending a wedding but the girl on the desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and spacious and bed comfortable. I was pleased to know check out wasn't until 12 noon so we were able to enjoy a nice relaxed breakfast. The hot breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. All in all we were quite pleased with our stay and would recommend.

This inn was built in the 1550's and used as an inn throughout hundreds of years. Our room was completely renovated and charming. Beds, bedding and bathrooms were very comfortable. The bar and restaurant continue in the old traditions and smelled of fish and chips. Staff was nice hard working and would stay at this boutique hotel again, WE WERE CHARMED.

Not easy to find. Not quite as advertised. Staff welcoming. Room comfortable but people in adjoining rooms can be heard and there was no tv available. Food and drink lovely but quite expensive. Very late breakfast start time of 9am meant we could not use on our last day.

The girl that checked us in was amazing. She was the only one running the show. She told us which doors to go through in the morning for breakfast but to our surprise when we tried the next morning everything was dark and locked up. We didn't receive our breakfast.

Amazing stay! Everything you think of when thinking about visiting the Irish Countryside. Staff was amazing - especially Chloe who helped us check-in and at the restaurant and pub. The food was incredible and the pub was quintessential Irish. Loved it!

It’s a 17th century pub & hotel. Quaint, old, rustic but well preserved. Room was very comfortable with recent renovations. Food was great. Staff was very kind and helpful.

We encountered problems with the room itself (toilet would run and as of this morning we could not get it to stop running before we had to leave, no one was present at the front desk to advise, as well as the sky light appears quite moldy and the shower does not get hot).
Our largest issue was that when we booked we were not advised they had a musician playing during our stay. The woman who checked us in assured it would be a quiet room. I happened to see "live music starting at 9pm" on Facebook and asked at the bar and was told it would be over by 10:30pm. At 11 my wife and I came down and were advised by Ciara that it would continue until 11:30 at the latest and she would ensure it was quiet by then. We advised this was unacceptable as we had an early morning departure and had to be up at 5am, so a concert outside our window prevented us from sleeping. She said nothing she could do except make sure it was cleared at 11:30 (despite assuring us she was the manager on duty). At 11:30 we came back down because music had not stopped wailing through the single pane windows and Ciara was behind the bar not attempting to deal with it until she saw us. She let them have "one more song" and finally finished after 11:40pm. At that point we could finally start to wind down to sleep.
We dealt with a defective room, lying staff, and for some reason an amplified guitar player yelling into a microphone for a single table of 4 people (he could have just been playing in the pub).

From the friendly staff at check in, to the restaurant staff at dinner and breakfast, there was no faulting any of them! The good was great too!!! The room was also large and comfortable.

I love the rustic charm of the place, which is but a short drive from Waterford, reasonably priced and has excellent WiFi in each room. The food is out of this world and perhaps the best thing of all is the friendly and helpful staff. No question or problem is too much for them to help you with! I look forward to my next visit with great anticipation!

The old inn’s rooms have been renovated to a very high standard. We were a bit worried as they didn’t spend any money on renovation of reception area. Didn’t matter. Staff were excellent. Great pub for dining below. Great surprise off the beaten path.

Our stay in this stone hotel built in 1644 was truly amazing from the friendly and helpful staff, namely Chloe, to the delicious food, to the gorgeous comfortable room with a balcony patio looking out on a beautiful sunset behind rolling hills and a pasture of cows. Awesome Ireland at its best!

We absolutely loved this hotel/inn. We picked it originally because it was originally built around 1600-1650 and thought it would be cool to stay here.
Our room was completely updated with great AC, great balcony/deck, heated floors in the bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet, etc.
We actually met the owner and he was extremely friendly and helpful. All the staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
We would definitely stay here again.

A mixture of the old (dates back to the 1600s in parts) and new (modern and comfortable rooms) with excellent staff and good food. On site car parking is plentiful and secure. Handy base for exploring the local area.

Liked staff, breakfast, room.
Needing a token at checkout could have been more convenient.

A lovely welcome from the owner when we arrived. He proudly showed us to the room which was fantastic with a private terrace and the most amazing bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was brilliant with again lovely staff. Would recommend.

Enjoyed talking to the owner who greeted us and hung out in the 400 year old pub downstairs. Want to come back after his onsite brewery is completed. Great onsite food and service.

Our stay at the 600-year-old and was amazing. The proprietor is very kind and staff was friendly and welcoming. It had a lift which was a nice convenience and then it had a nice sitting area outside your room. The only issue that I would have is it would been better if it had air conditioning.

Would recommend as a breath of fresh air in all areas

We loved it. The rooms were above a very old pub, restaurant (which was great) but the room was totally redone and quite modern with a pricste balcony overlooking fields. We stayed 2 nights and traveled to various sites nearby. The restaurant had the best Irish Brekfast we had during our stay.

Construction work after 10 pm. Complained at 10:30 and it was stopped. After that listened to a motor starting on and off every 5 seconds. It’s now 1:30 am and it’s still going. I am heading out to my car to get some sleep since there was no one up to complain to. Worst hotel I have stayed in since arriving Ireland.
