Beautiful resort with swimming pool facing the sea. Quiet, peaceful but still close to General Luna. Rooms are all suites. Spacious, cool AC and clean. Manager Cecil looked after us very well, arranging tours and transport in a personal way.

Crew were very friendly and accommodating with our needs from aysa to gayle and the rest of the crew. Always ready to provide excellent service with a smile. Will recommend to friends and will surely come back to this place again on our next visit in december.

We had a wonderful stay at Retreat Siargao! The room was spotless, spacious, and offered stunning views. The staff truly impressed us with their attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond. The location was perfect for us - peaceful and quiet, yet just a short tuk-tuk ride from the lively town center.

The location was great. 125 steps to the private beach that was great to wade/swim. The complimentary breakfast was nice, certainly not gourmet...but plentiful and Filipino, with Western options. The staff could not have been nicer. Always friendly and caring. The owners dinner was delightful and delicious. The resort is convenient to General Luna with lots of nightlife and interesting options. Too far to walk, but a tricycle is only a few minutes call away and there was never a wail. The facility is certainly not luxury, but spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is lovely and the grounds are very, very pleasant. We had a great time here...it's peaceful, happy and comfortable...

I had an amazing stay at this beachfront hotel. The view from my room was breathtaking, offering a serene glance at the ocean that was just steps away. The food at the hotel was exceptional, with a great variety of dishes that were both delicious and satisfying. What made my stay truly memorable, however, was the staff. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway

Bugs…so many bugs! Of the 7 places we stayed in the Phillipines in the month we were there, this was our least favorite hotel. The first night there, the AC was not working. They gave us a fan and fixed it the next morning. We did not sleep well with the heat. The second night when we came back to the room it had hundreds of bugs. They moved us to another room, but it ended up having a ton of bugs too. They gave us a complimentary island tour for the bad experience, which was nice, but I would never stay here again. The windows have large gaps and are not sealed properly which lets way too many bugs into the room. Also, I think the owner could have been more empathetic to our experience rather than so dismissive of what we went through and his staff’s lack of helpfulness.

Hotel is great for the value. Rooms were more like suites.

This property is a beautiful, green, peaceful getaway from General Luna and Cloud 9, but still within easy travel distance to both destinations. The beachfront is very nice with a lovely, long walkable beach and swimmable water at high tide. The outdoor pool onsite is crystal clear, clean and beautiful. This was a very relaxing resort with spacious rooms, dining and outdoor areas. Thank you, Jason and staff, for a lovely stay. We hope to be back soon!

The staff are definitely the biggest asset at the Retreat resort. All very attentive and polite. We were given a warm welcome and any requests were fulfilled in good time.

This resort is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and quick to assist you. And the chef is amazing

The resort is very peaceful and the owners and staff are very accommodating and nice. The room is very large and spacious. Nice large TV in the living room area with a comfortable couch. Beds are decently comfortable. This place is away from the main city which is why I choice this place. It is a short ride to town..50-100 pesos depending on who picks u up lol. Some issues I had here were there were several ants. Some stains on the sheets. The water pressure reduced severely as the days passed and the hot water stopped working. I was taking cold showers my last two days. They could not fix the problem although they seemed to try. Would have been nice if they offered a solution other then going to a different to take a shower which I didn’t do. Also, no activities were offered for solo traveler. Would have been nice if they had some equipment rentals. Overall a decent stay. I don’t think it’s a place worth 100 usd a night.

Away from the hustle and bustle but stull easy to get around. Great service.

The staff at Retreat Siargao were very kind, caring, and responsive during my stay! The personal attention was greatly appreciated. The pool was big enough to do laps if you want. The water was perfection. The hotel room was huge! The tricycle ride to town took a mere 8-10 minutes to where all the action is with excellent restaurants. If you want a quiet place to retreat then Retreat Siargao is your place!

Quiet peaceful place to walk about the tidal pools, enjoy the sunsets and have a reset. Gracious host who treated us with unexpected culinary delights. Wonderful staff, kind and welcoming. Great base from which to explore the island.

Exceptional is a word that comes to mind - The owners Jason and his wife were so welcoming. Their staff including Gail were outstanding! We had breakfast lunch and dinner every day during our stay and the food is top quality. A super bar and the grounds including the pool and beach access are also excellent. We do not have a bad thing to say about the Retreat! We will definitely be coming back next year.

Incredible and relaxing stay at the Retreat resort. Owners Jason and Heriros are very nice and very accommodating. Staff is also amazing very attentive and friendly.

Brand new hotel and the owner and staff were friendly, responsive and fun. The rooms are large, clean and private. The private beach was amazing. Food in the restaurant is Korean-based, and not bad. The pool was fantastic. This will probably be my "go to" place when I head back to Siargao.

The resort is fairly new and updated. It’s located by the beach and very private and quite. Friendly staff and nice amenities included.

This is the perfect property to come to sit back and relax,They have everything your looking for from surfing to island hopping.. The service and the food was excellent, I am definitely coming back to the resort again in 1 month to relax

This property is internationial prices but not international quality . The room is adequate but the breakfast is poor quality . The wifi in the room was very poor except nearer the reception area . The pool appeared to be over chlorinated and the reception closed at 9m without any security .It is also quite a distance from the town and without a car makes the journey back and forth somewhat difficult .

This place is amazing. I booked this on chance as there was hardly any reviews or pictures of this when I booked. It was not 100% completed yet, but wow this place will be the place to be... If I ever get married, I hope my fiance would want to get married and have the party here. It is a zen and homely feel. Had shabu shabu for dinner 1 night, and Korean BBQ the other night. They also grow their own vegetables and herbs on site for farm to table. Less than 10 min motorcycle ride to General Luna. About 15 min to Cloud 9. The resort has private boats for hire to take you to the islands. The pool looked like it was going to be amazing. My pix were taken from my room on my cell phone. Walking the garden below was so serene going to the beach. You can watch the sunrise over Daku on their lounge chairs... Also many thanks to Mark for showing me some of nightlife and just overall help experiencing & getting around General Luna. The restaurant can probably sit a couple a hundred people physically if they had that many tables. The upstairs will boast 6 private karaoke rooms and a conference room when completed. That whole building can probably have a 500+ party lol if just going off size. The 4 buildings host 4 suites. Totally 16 bookings. Each room has 2 beds and a pull out. With an option for an extra cot. Totalling up to 5 per room. Congrats to Jason & the staff on this new adventure. Can't want to come back. Felt so at ease here.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size and cleanliness of the room; really spacious and comfortable. In additional the staff were very helpful when we asked for additional services (motorbike rent, transport to airport etc). The beach front is really pretty and the communal areas/gardens are well looked after. Some of the areas of the resort are still under construction which meant that there was noise from the builders starting early in the day. There is also potential for a better breakfast; currently, the resort serves rice, fried egg and meat plus additional fruit upon request (a bigger selection consisting of pancakes, granola etc would be nicer but suspect this is because the kitchen is still being built).
