No staff, no room service during stay

We had the room in the roof that was overlooking the whole city, it was such an amazing and unique view that I still miss now.

I wouldn't leave booking a room till the last minute ever again, especially during the busiest bank holiday weekend - so this wasn't great value, in the basement with people looking in while walking past, and smelling rather damp. However, the location is very convenient, the room was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful.

This property was a 10 min walk to the beach which was great. When we got into the room there was a leaflet which told us the wifi and amenities around. There was a double bed made the only thing I would suggest is more pillows there was only two but this would depend on people’s preferences. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

On arrival, i needed a parking permit so i called the number on front door, the men were kind and helpful. The room was very basic and could do with a deep clean but done the job. Thank you 😊 not a bad review.

Fan in room and great big windows with good black out blinds. Comfy bed and pillows too

The TV is too small. You have a cooker that doesn’t work without pots or pans.

It feels safe and has good working facilities but the dumpsters right out the front make the street really dirty.
Only a 20 minute walk from the train station and close to the beach and a nice walk to the lanes and town centre.
I would say that the rooms are very minimalist and don’t look much like the pictures but they have everything you would need for a weekend stay.

Great location, however mattress and pillows need updated

This was my first solo trip away so I was hoping everything would be smooth and stress free, which it was. The hotel is faceless (didn’t see any staff on site) and keyless meaning you check yourself in with a code and email them when you check out, to be honest suited me and no issues. I was very impressed with the room as a whole (Room 3, double with partial sea view). It wasn’t the cleanest but I was prepared for that due to viewing previous reviews, nothing terrible and as I was there for one night so not an issue. Wasn’t too noisy and about a 5-8 min walk to Brighton pier. It had a mini kitchen including microwave, fridge and mini hob- if your planning to cook there it’s just plates and cutlery, no pans or pots. I would stay again for a short stay 👍

A really nicely set out room with a sofa. Helpful staff. What I would suggest is a more through clean. There was dust on the kitchen shelves. The spong supplied to wash items in the kitchenette was used and dirty and there was bits and dental floss under the bed. If the cleaning was more substantial it would have been 5 stars.

1. Whilst my wife was in bed and having a snack, the window was open due to the hot weather and a strange man stood outside looking at her as she sat half dressed and kept looking at her, this made her unsafe and terrified.
2. When I arrived, my access code did not work on the first try, I kept trying and trying and didn’t work, had to wait for assistance after a long day travelling.
Poor poor

The room was nothing like the pictures, instead we got a dark basement room. The door was opened with a code and didn’t have a lock on the inside which felt very unsafe.
There was a tiny patio that we couldn’t use because it was covered in bird faeces and had a pigeon family living there. This also meant we couldn’t open the windows because of all the flies. The water pressure was good but the water didn’t get very warm. The bedding had stains and didn’t feel clean.
Nice with a fridge and microwave and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I guess we got what we paid for, but still over all very disappointed.

The hotel was very dingy from the moment i walked in. The stairs look like they're near collapse and stains all over an old. Brown carpet which in some places needed to be patched up. The seagiew duluxe room was a shame because yes while you did have semi sea view you had rotten wooden windows which wouldnt really open and when it dod the room accumulated flies instantly where i was looking round tryong to find a dead body. Turns out the flies where keen on the kitchenette because nothing was clean and there were splattering all over the microwave. It had a musty smell and the bathroom had dirty floors, mould on the walls and a dark stain in the bath tub. I didnt walk round without sliders because i was worried about catching something. Its cheaper than other places yes but for what i paid i expected a little better.
The bed was okay but the thinnest feather pillows ever, a stained mustard coloured throw. Also there was a white stain on the sofa which was pretty suspect.
The room felt like it was on the verge of collapse because there was an obvious slant into the room.
Would not come back

The bedsheets had hair on them and the towels didn't look clean , bed is too small for 2 people

Wasn’t pleased with the cleanliness of my room - there was a teeth flossing pick lying on the carpet when I entered and hair in the shower plug hole. I also didn’t feel particularly safe there as a solo female traveller (who goes to Brighton regularly and lives in south london). This is a residential street yet there were people outside my window loitering outside the next door flats the whole night long making a lot of noise, and a police van parked directly outside for some time around midnight-1am - I’m not sure what was going on but it was unnerving. Instead of having a key card the room had a pin pad with the pin the same as that of the main hotel door - so I felt like other people could have accessed the room easily. Didn’t feel safe and wouldn’t return.

We booked a “deluxe” double and the room was far from deluxe, it was filthy, stains on cushions, the shower was grim with hair and filth around it, the locks on the windows were broken off and we were in a ground floor room next to the street so felt really unsafe.
There didn’t seem to be any staff at the property as we had been given an access code and no answer when we tried to call the contact number. The bed was so uncomfortable, rock hard and horrible flat pillows. Really disappointed with this place as the photos looked so nice!

Loud old house converted into hotel rooms/apartments. The room was cold, noisy and in disrepair.
There is no reception and contacting staff is near impossible. No breakfast as advertised.

Room was good, mini kitchen there but no casserole or even pan to cook,no light by the kitchen or stove so hard to cook in the night or make a cup of tea/coffee.2 n8ghts stayed and the staff told us no cleaning,i asked if @ least have a fresh bath towels he replied yes but in the night we arrived @ our room "super double room" all our used towel still on the floor not new bath towels replace @ all.so bad servicr.not reliable takes you more than 20mins to call or text them in order to ask for extra towel to use.

Excellent value for money , room was large, large comfy bed with TV and sofa. Mini kitchen with kettle, sink, hob, microwave and fridge. En suite bath with shower. Towels provided.I only booked for the one night but would have happily stayed a week. Yes there was the odd hair and a bit of dust in places but on the whole it was clean. Its a bit dated but wouldn't expect anything less being an old building. I'd definitely be booking again.

Room wasn’t very clean and in very dated condition and had a funny smell so kept windows open the whole stay
Bed was uncomfortable so sleep was terrible
Meet and greet had poor English so communication was hard
We left a day early as didn’t wanna spend another night there

Decent size small room with kitchenette. Lovely to be able to put food & drink in good size fridge & microwave

There was front desk with no one to get assistance. If you wanted help you needed to message property owner on hotls.com app. For example, when i got locked out of room i had to this. On part two of stay at ny hotel i was locked out of front doir key code and room i had to speak to the owner on a staff that happened to be there where a new number given to me and a physical to access room. The bedding was not changed once over my 6 night stay and had to empty bins regularly. Apart from the last day new towels and bin changed but i feelbthis should of been every 2 days. In the notice it was told to empty bins and email when leaving the property but i did not trust using my email address because of the bad and awful experience at the hotel. Be very careful when booking because thr reviews were exceptional thst is why i booked this hotel. After the second night out of 6 nights all i wanted to is go home and hotel spoiled and ruined by trip to Brighton

For the period of my stay the bedding was never changed and i had to use the same towels. The sink and toliet was nver cleaned with the smallest bar of soap. I had to empty my waste bin and recycling in to the bins outside when full. Had to use my plastic bags for bin liners. I was locked out of my room not once but twice, today the code for front door and my room was charged without been told by staff. There was no front desk with a one guy at different times during and upto 5pm. The only way to contact staff was email because there was no night day on the premises. The only possible was a nice bed and a microwave

Arrived early but was allowed to check in. Bought a parking permit from the hotel £15 for 24 hours.
Staff helpful. Room was tired, a bit grubby.
Carpet was dirty, stained, old. Didn't want to take my shoes off!
Very dusty around skirting boards. Bathroom and bedding was very clean.
Good location, opposite the pier.

Here for one night on business. I booked the superior room as it was only £3 more than a double and was well worth it, except for climbing 6 flights of stairs. It gave me some great exercise.
Only thing is it was quite dusty in some areas and I think there’s a tiny spider trapped inside the TV.
2.5 / 5.0
everything was really good! the service was incredible! the only thing that i would note is the freezers didn’t shut because they need defrosting! and the floors are uneven! and the roof is collapsing! and the tv was too small! and the bath was brown! there should be a drain just by the bath! there was a sexy dvd in the tv! the man upstairs wouldn’t stop walking around! we hope you enjoyed your cereal!

The location of the room was good, and the staff were polite. However the room itself was nothing like the images on the site, it was disgusting and dirty. Long hairs on the pillows which don’t look like they’ve been ever cleaned. The room was done to the cheapest budget possible with lots of corners cut, not well vented and we woke up to soaking walls and condensation running down. Couldn’t wait to get out, and we tried to avoid being in the room in general.

It was easy to access the building and room. They responded quickly via email. The room was suitable for me as staying overnight for work purposes.
The shower was quite small and a bit hard work to move around but it wasn’t a big issue. The mattress was a bit springy and not overly comfortable but still slept ok. I loved the smell of the soap.
I liked the little kitchen area, really helpful for having a quick microwaveable meal and having a fridge.
It’s close to shops which was really handy.
I would stay again.

The staff were helpful, the room was decent for the price, the bed was on the uncomfortable side and the bathroom was very small and the bath looked at bit old and grotty but good location easy to find and overall not a bad stay.

This place was exactly what we needed. It was clean, and had all the amenities we wanted, including being able to cook for ourselves to save money, and the manager was very friendly and helpful. The location was really good too - close enough to the centre to walk to easily, but not so close that it would be noisy. Would stay here again.

I never got in. I was supposed to get codes beforehand in order to get in, they never arrived. Did not answer to emails or calls. The one time I got thru, the person insisted I call on a defunct number and refused to answer any questions. Hotels.com personnel had the same response. From what I hear, the apartment hotels in that area come and go in a flash - i had to get other accommodations, and will pursue compensation.

The bed was very uncomfortable and room 7 too far with no lift.
