Before we arrived I had contacted the hotel concierge to arrange transport to & from the hotel and a few restaurant bookings. The staff could not of been more helpful in arranging this and a small surprise for my husband on our honeymoon. We were picked up by the hotel and the driver was polite and courteous.
When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted so warmily be multiple staff, our bags were whisked away, we were given a welcome drink whilst we waited in the comfortable lobby to check in.
The hotel is beautiful, it exceeded all our expectations and the restaurants are fantastic (we highly recommend Shiroux). The biggest asset of this hotel is it's staff. Everyone we met was pleasant, chatty and could not do enough to assist you. The hotel left a lovely gift for us to celebrate our honeymoon and the staff always congratulated us and made a special effort at dinner.
Even just going for a stroll, the staff would say hello and have a conversation. We throughly enjoyed our time at this hotel and would recommend it to everyone, especially the snorkelling. We will definitely be back for our anniversary in a few years!

Nice property , leading hotel of the world but they have three major problems:
1. Terrible breakfast dining allocation where you can book into a queue for breakfast and be told that your breakfast slot is in 70minutes. No body needs to plan their day or wake up time on holiday based on the breakfast allocation slot.
2. Over crowding: the whole dining areas and pool area felt overcrowded, more so when it rained.
3. Staff not wanting to open umbrellas when it was slightly windy. We found this incredulous when there were no winds but based on predicted weather forecast! This meant lying on subbed sun the heat!
Located about an hour from Naha airport by car via the toll Highway.
Two Major wings: sunset and beach. Total of 360 rooms and villas. On arrival, one has to drive up to the sunset wing.Valet parking- took too long when we had to pick up the car, at time we waited over 10minutes!
Check in was ok- sat at the foyer with beautiful sea views but the whole process took too Long and should be more efficient.
We were shown our room by concierge personal - room 751. Nice size room with a compartment for a walk In closet and good size shower with views to the balcony from the bath tube. Parking was free as per the booking or otherwise 2000yen per day.
Turn down service - ice bucket and pj’s are out and about gift which was a nice touch but not useful- we left them all behind.
Balconies are to close together especially 751 and 750 and 752.

The property and staff were absolutely amazing!!! Easily this is the best property I have ever stayed at and the customer service is the beat I've ever experienced. My children loved the property and our room. We stayed in the Coral Suite Twin room which was massive. It came with Japanese pajamas, and keepsake flip flops and tote bag. This hotel was truly something special.

Amazing hotel, great service. And the food was delicious.

This is honestly one of my favorite hotels ever- the resort is a nice size- not too big or small. The pools are relaxing and the rooms are beautiful and luxurious. The service is great, and I had a really restorative time here, even though I came during rainy season. Huge thumbs up!
2.5
The hotel is top notch. Restaurants food was impeccable we tried sushi, steak and innovative French. Never had such amazing food in our last two trips in Okinawa. Improvement would be check in as we waited for half an hour and there weee only 3 staff. Our room location is very off near parking lot and that section looks like motel set up. For hk$5k a night it’s disappointment. Guess can only stay at sunset wing. Spa was super awesome

Best luxury accommodation option in Okinawa, would definitely come back. Friendly staffs, amazing room and amenities and 3 different breakfast options to choose from. Although we had to wake up at 7AM for online queueing, wasnt so bad as we could do something else while waiting.

Beautiful resort but like most it’s very far from other walkable dining and shopping. Would have really enjoyed this property if it wasn’t raining the days we were there. There not much to do if you can’t be outdoors, pool, beach, etc. there is an indoor pool which was nice but really we wanted to be outdoors. Drive to and from main areas outside of resort are about $80 each way.

Absolutely perfect.

Great stay. No hitch from check-in to check-out.

I have previously experienced phenomenal service in Japan, but was slightly underwhelmed by the inconsistency of service during this stay from such a high rated property. We found some of the hotel/spa staff that were very polite and accommodating, while others (like pool staff) were inflexible and slightly curt in their approach. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained, but the rigid hotel policies, lack of available dinner options, and over abundance of staff directing your every move made the experience less relaxing. Some examples include: no drink requests off-menu were allowed, QR “virtual wait in line” required for breakfast, several restaurants unavailable without reservation days in advance, slow/unprofessional waiter service in the steakhouse restaurant, kids not allowed in certain restaurants after 8pm, kids under 16 now allowed in 2 of the nicer pool areas (no opportunity to use hot tub), strict pool attire required, and many beach areas are off-limits. On the brighter side, the ocean activities were great- our guide Dan-san was very kind to our kids, and made our trip quite fun and memorable. The shareable/free beach toys were a nice touch. The spa is very clean and nice. Overall a good stay, but not the 5-Star experience you might be expecting. Next time will try the Ritz-Carlton next door, after renovations are finished.

It was a nice hotel to stay and to let our honeymoon begin. the room is large, clean with nice design. Hotel staff will bring you into room and explain everything inside it which was very helpful.
swimming pool not big but they separate adults pool and family pool. there is a small jacuzzi pool inside the infinite pool which i enjoyed so much.
Hotel staffs were very nice and helpful. they helped us to manage to book some restaurant outside, also parking must be velet parking no extra charge is needed.

It was a perfect resort for the family trip. Wish there was another less expensive restaurant available.

5 stars in every aspect.

Amazing property! We had the Executive Beach Suite and it was roomy and cozy for the rain we experienced. The view of the beach was excellent. We used the clear kayaks to see the coral reef and all its magic. Only 2 small pieces of feedback. The in-room dining lunch menu didn’t have many option for vegetarians. They accommodated us by ordering off the dinner menu. There is a kids pool that no one uses, instead there are kids in the big beautiful pool making it hard to enjoy. Yes there is a small adults only pool but why have a kids pool if it’s not enforced in some way.

Great hotel with or without children as there are adult pools. Good selection of restaurants. Shiroux is a must.

Resort was amazing. Staff was more than helpful and attentive. The grounds were immaculate. I just loved everything. The only thing I would say is beware that if you haven’t got a car it’s not easy to get around. There are a lot of places to see close by but there really is no transport. The resort restaurants were amazing but very expensive. There were some dining options in walking distance but not many. Would stay there again.

Beautiful attentive staff. Felt very welcomed. The values are conservative around tattoos, however, we were provided swimwear that would cover tattooed areas.

The food and beverage staff were exceptional, both on site restaurants were world class. On the hotel side, this place really caters to families. While we enjoyed our stay overall, the high cost pushed our expectations. We were on our honeymoon yet surrounded by screaming children and families everywhere. The quiet pool sits directly in front of the kids pool which certainly doesn’t make it quiet. Our room was sandwiched between families with small children despite the hotel knowing we were wanting to relax in a more private setting (which they have on the other side of the hotel).
Overall we would recommend staying at a different hotel if you are traveling without children and going to the restaurants instead.

Everything is so perfect, just that the pool closes quite early at 6pm, including the indoor one. Appreciate if can keep at least one pool open at night.

Stunning hotel with truly five star service and I appreciate their eco friendly efforts. However, out of the 4 outdoor pools on property only one was open, no cabanas by the pool were open for rental, no pool bars were open and the champagne bar wasn’t open. We went in March and apparently all these amenities (the main reasons we chose the hotel) don’t open until April. Neither hotels.com nor the hotel website were transparent about this when booking. This would have been a five star rating for me if this hadn’t happened or honestly even if both hotels.com and Halekulani had been transparent about the closures. We probably still would have booked here but had appropriate expectations. Lastly tattoos are not allowed at the pools but this is not told to you until you walk up to the pool unprepared. I have a 3in x 3in tattoo of a palm tree on my back. Thank goodness we were diving so I had brought a rash guard but still it wasn’t a pleasant surprise. Outside of these negative surprises the property and staff are amazing. If you have a family off season is probably the perfect time but we were honeymooners looking for some elegant champagne pool side. The extra salt in our wound was that the elevator tv looped an add for having a glass of champagne by the water. Turn that off if you won’t let us buy it!

Amazing service, we enjoyed staying this hotel.

Wonderful stay. Attentive staffs. Super clean room and great amenities. Love the onsen. Place is a bit noisy with kids during the holiday. The two restaurants Aomi and Shiroux were excellent, the dining experience was above and beyond! Could expand the wine selections.
