the property needs updating, pool was cold, bad WIFI, room are dated. limited staff on site. there were piles of wood etc on the property. the second floor balcony had an unfinished plywood floor

Very poor service room not cleaned for 6 days we were there had to go ask for towels and toilot paper three times

Great location and close to National Park, Beaches, Green Gables Heritage Place Restaurants..etc.

The hottub wasn’t working and the pool was not hot i read that it was a heated pool

The bed seemed small for a Queen size bed that we requested. There was paint spill stains all over the stairs and the outside looked very aged. The room ( other than the bed) was nice as it was evident that upgrades had been made. We thankfully didn’t need to use the tub as there looked to be dirt in it.

Great place to stay.. close to all the fun things to do in Cavendish area of the island.. outdoor pool and friendly staff. Would stay again.

Huge beatles and earwigs. Room was extremely damp and musty. So was the bedding. They sprayed with some deodorizing spray that choked us. The glasses were dirty like they'd been wiped with a dirty towel. Room hadn't been dusted in awhile.They emptied our garbage on the second day, but didn't sweep up the bug corpses. The WiFi was pitiful. Only able to connect once and then it was gone. The whole outside with broke down. Paint was peeling. Stairs were rickety and dangerous. The grounds were not cleaned up. Beer caps and cigarette butts stayed there. The pool deck was slivery wood and warped and loose at one end. I would not recommend this dump to anyone. Very disappointing. Spend a little more and stay somewhere nice. This was my family's first little vacation in 3 years.

Older property and a little run down but the beds were outstanding!

Liked the location and cleanliness of this location. Service was good. It would be awesome for a week or so in the cottage room with a kitchen and stuff

Playground definitely needs to be more secure and updated, (more options). brooms and paper towel could be at great use for each room. Pool hours should be earlier morning.

Loved the location, however the pool closes at 8 pm does not open till 11 am. With checkout at 10 there is no way to get in a morning swim.

The best thing about the Anne Shirley motel is it's location. It is very close to all of the Anne of Green Gables properties to visit. The hotel itself is run down, and needs to be fixed up and updated. Our room had some spiders and bugs on the floor. They don't offer any ice, and the cups in the rooms are a variety of glass glasses that I wasn't sure had been washed thoroughly. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Would definitely recommend looking at other motels/hotels /inns / cottages before booking here and the two/three night minimum is absolutely appalling for the condition this place is in…

The location is connivence to various famous spots within 5 mins drive at Cavendish and save much transportation time. Staff is helpful and friendly at the front desk. Hygiene is subject to improvement as we found a cockroach in the closet and the bed sheet is a bit stinky.

This hotel has gone down hill since my last stay there a few years ago..the "heated" pool is not heated...the hot tub is not in use covered with a tarp..(they didnt tell you this before booking) the dirt on the window sills is plenty...the ac filter was discustingly dirty. The beds were comfortable..the kitchenette burners dont get hot...

The place was full of earwigs I went to the front and they didn’t seemed surprised asked if they could at least spray something the second night it was just as bad - I was awake both night killing earwigs. Not a very relaxing vacation - so disappointed looked at the pictures and seemed like a nice motel - never going there again

Part of ceiling falling. A/C was insufficient. Flooring was poor. Sairs were rickety and unsafe. Their was no parking except limiited in front of office which was far from our room. Worst accomodations in our 1 month trip.

The location is great but wow, this place is an absolute dive and not at all as advertised. Would not return. It is surprising this is an option on Expedia.

There were earwigs in the room and bed bugs in the beds.

Rooms were dated, old furniture, and bed linens. Bathroom was very poorly designed and small. Chemical cleaners were beyond and smell was unbareable. Staff was polite but manager questioned and demanded proof and certification of service dog.( Ilegal to do so). unsatisfactory!

An honest review. I’ve been to PEI many times and stayed in a lot of but this one has to be infested with rats/mice. I didn’t even get to check in before we saw 3. One while I was checking in. Manager “Gavin” would not refund so we could find another place to sleep comfortably. He asked us for proof lol. There were 6 of us for 3 rooms. I seen 1 while checking in at the front desk the others seen 2 scurrying around the steps/deck. I asked the neighbour's over at the gas station next store, said it’s an ongoing issue. Called public health, they said it’s NOT been the first compliant. Waiting on a return call from Tourism PEI to report it. I just don’t think it’s fair for these people to be taking peoples hard earned money and sticking it to them. We wasted 5 hours of our vacation time dealing with this with no help from the motel. Http://www.Hotels.com would not refund because when they called the motel the manager said we did not have proof! What?!? did he want us to catch them?!? We ended up paying elsewhere so it cost us double plus extra for last minute booking. It’s a hard lesson for us but we will take reviews more seriously from now on. So be for-warned and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Please share so others will know what this place is all about, bottom line is that they don’t care about your comfort or this issue would have been addressed a long time ago…the only concern they have is taking your $.
