Very complicated check in process; view to machines and trash areas

I stayed with them for 3 days. Tuesday- Thursday and my stay was absolutely amazing! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are super clean and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. The beds were really comfortable as well. You do have to pay a parking fee of $25 per night which isn’t too bad. There is also a $100 deposit fee to book with them. It’s also about a 14-16min drive to universal studios which was great and a 10-12 min drive to Hollywood!

We enjoyed the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel decor was delightful, and the room was very comfortable. Since there is no restaurant on the property, they may wish to consider adding microwaves in the guest rooms for those wanting a warm meal without having to go out or order takeout. Also, recommend changing the word "pool" to "oversized hot tub" so not to deceive anyone expecting to swim. Still enjoyable, but not a pool.

We appreciate that we were allowed to check-in in the late evening with no problems. The customer service was so welcoming and nice! Best personalities I’ve seen at any hotel! The hotel is modern and super clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I am definitely coming back!

they over charge for the rooms is not all they don’t have a swimming. Pool is way better than makado hotel across the street from them and the parking is way too expensive to. I didn’t like the place I will never go back there.

I lived in the valley all of my life. This is the first time that I’ve come back as a visitor and stayed in a hotel. It was an outstanding location… freeway close. You can walk across the street to Hugos … to Whole Foods… gas station on the corner. The staff could not be more helpful.
The only drawback is that it backs up to the Ventura freeway and even though the windows open a bit the freeway is loud. You do not hear it at all with the windows closed and I would stay there again in a minute, and I’ve already recommended it to my friends who have out of town guests.

Hotel was nice, parking was easy, and the facilities were clean. They kept coffee in the lobby area all the time which was awesome. The beds weren’t the best for someone who likes a softer mattress, but the pillows were great! Our window showed a boarded up, condemned-like building next door that had trash everywhere and looked like it had squatters…not the best view at all, so we kept the shade pulled. Bathroom door in the room had a large frosted glass insert which was awful at night if someone used the bathroom because the whole room lit up from the light. Also the room wasn’t very sound proof and we could hear anyone who passed by our room.

So, I have nothing but good things to say about our stay here. the hotel was really nice and clean and my kids loved the butterflies all over the hotel. The front desk guys were so very helpful everytime we needed something (I wish I got their names!) next time we go to universal, we will be staying here again! 😊

I stayed for 12 nights at Hotel Mariposa in late August 2024. It was a wonderful experience as the hotel is staffed by friendly people and kept in an excellent condition. There is convenient access to retail and restaurants on Ventura Blvd, close drive to Universal Studios and Warner Bros along with good highway access for all other points accessed by car. I would highly recommend for stays in Los Angeles.
