Very modern hotel with extremely helpful and friendly staff, however the corridors are very dark. Our bedroom had multiple levels which I wasn't so keen on. Breakfasts were delicious and very well-presented. Overall a great hotel at a reasonable price, however I found that it lacked warmth.

The cons - not super close to metro (compared to another hotel that I'd cancelled for this one) and my room was very damp...like all the time, including the bedding.
The pros - the staff were AMAZING! They were super helpful, whatever I needed they were attentive and this location stood out in terms of making me feel comfortable in Kyoto.
I would absolutely return if they could take care of the dampness in the room.

Node hotel might be my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my whole life and was easily my favorite hotel in Japan. The entire hotel was impeccably clean. The decor of the hotel is very cool and modern and the room was a good size-similar to the size of a western hotel and the largest room we stayed in, in Japan (we stayed in the standard double room). The location was good-a two minute walk to at least two bus stops, about 10 minutes from a train station, about a 10 minute walk to the fish market, and about 25 minute walk to Gion. You can also catch the bus from the hotel to go to Gion quicker for 250 JP yen. The neighborhood is also very safe and quiet. The hotel serves food and has a bar, which I also recommend checking out! The area that really made this hotel stand out was the concierge staff. Ozaki helped us make reservations to an unforgettable restaurant for my husbands’ birthday just by telling him the cuisine we were interested in and he helped us find same day medical care with appreciated discretion. The concierge staff all spoke fluent English which aided in ensuring they provided the best service for our restaurant and medical request plus all other questions regarding transportation, recommendations on where to eat, activities in the area, and for calling a taxi for us. I truly cannot recommend staying at Node hotel enough! Staying at this hotel made our trip to Kyoto our favorite place to visit on our Japan trip and I hope to stay there again one day.

The dark interior design in the common areas felt oppressive, and the industrial loft design/finish of our room felt cold. The furniture looked beat and worn, and it was hard to tell if that was intentional as a design element or if it was really just beat and worn. The three-legged desk chair was particularly uncomfortable. The one positive was the bathroom was very nicely designed and clean.

Excellent location, well appointed rooms, good quality but limited choice for breakfast

Cool clean room close to centre of the city!
There is a restaurant/cafe/bar downstairs which is open until 24:00-ish.
There are artworks everywhere.

Node is a beautifully designed hotel, from the front desk to the restaurant to the rooms. We stayed in a stair double room and it was spacious for two people. Service was incredible, the front desk helped us make dinner reservations. Location was very convenient, a short walk to Nishiki Market and a direct bus ride to Kiyomizu. They offered free welcome drinks at the bar and the breakfast is a must try as well. We will definitely stay again!

This was by far the nicest hotel we stayed at while in Japan. The food was excellent and the staff were really helpful and kind. It was also within walking distance to the main shopping district and subway.
4.7
Relatively good location on a quiet street. A variety of breakfast could be even better.

The hotel is great we spent 5 nights, located in a very nice area train station is 5 min walk and the market is nearby, service was great although lack some small thinks like having a electric socket handy... but still very good service. Breakfast is good (Western style) but with no changes ..... We liked allot the design and the comfort of the room (relatively big room to other hotels we staid in Japan) personally for me the really down side was that there is no Sento but we know it ahead....
