One of the best resorts we ever visited.
Hector, Yadira, Aracely and Miroslava were amazing.
Food and dining is awesome.
10/10 for everything.

Food was okay. Service was great for the most part. Clean.

Only good for a weekend stay. Absolutely nothing to do here which is fine when you want to just relax but no activities or anything to do. Drinks were mediocre, food was good, room was meh, bathroom where the shower and toilet was was small and gross. We tried it but won’t be back, back to a secrets for us.

No food variety, no source of entertainment, no shuttle bus service whereas they charged an enormous amount for this so called 5 star service

This place is good for a weekend. The facilites and staff were nice. We both got the stomach bug which made the stay pretty miserable. One small bottle of pepto was 20 American dollars. A pack of Rolaids was 9$. The alcohol was not great. We had one night of karaoke which was fun, night one of our stay. Food was good but not great when you have the stomach bug. I tried not to drink the water but all the drinks have ice so that’s what probably got us sick. For the cost of the trip I would not ever go again. Do not recommend.

My personal experience at this resort was far from great. Well most of the staff members were accommodating there were a lot of mishaps, inconsistency, and errors that are occurred during my stay. To make matters worse after trying to discuss matters with Expedia and my credit card the resort and hostel hotel staff were dishonest about the details of what actually occurred. Their biggest mistake was interrupting my lunch and asking me to leave a day early in front of everybody and then apologizing many hours later after the entire day was wasted. I understand mistakes happen, but this hotel was particularly lacking in communication and accommodation. Also be mindful that there are smokers everywhere and they do sell cigars on site so if you’re somebody somebody that doesn’t prefer cigarettes and things of that nature it’s likely that you’ll see people smoking around. I have several complaints against this resort that weren’t a big deal at the time but compiled altogether really affected the entirety of my stay combined with the fact of the hotel just being dishonest and making it difficult for me to get compensation by not being forthcoming about what transpired.

It’s a smaller resort. Property was beautiful and clean. Can’t say enough good things about the staff! Will definitely visit this resort again.

What can I say.. I've been coming to the Yucatan area 4 times previously.and have never had such a bad experience. Firstly, the food was 4 of 10. The restaurants had limited selection and the food was not good. I couldn't wait to get out of the resort to have food elsewhere. The location of the resort was deep away from the main road getting transportation in and out of the resort was confusing as the drivers from the tours and taxi drivers would ask repeatedly about which Margaritaville it was. As there were two Margaritaville resorts close to each other. And lastly they charged me 100 dollars for old sheets that apparently had some blood stains on. When I asked them for the sheets to show me, they did not have the sheets and had me pay for the "damaged property". I reluctantly paid because they would not allow me to depart the resort to catch my plane. I would be very cautious going to this resort. I am a frequent flyer and have been many places and resorts. This was by far my worst experience in Quinta Roo region of Mexico.

This property is not kid friendly at all. It has nothing for little ones. Limited dining and not many options. No night life. It was very clean and nice staff!

The entire staff, from the front desk, baggage, servers, housekeeping, concierge, groundskeepers, EVERYONE, was very friendly, always smiling and seemed genuinely glad to help. The best food is at Rita's Taco House and Latino, but the breakfast buffet at the Beach House and the smoothies at Blended were also good. There were events everyday and Jesus was always around for suggestions and a friendly hello. Concierge Yadi is super sweet and helpful as well, we loved chatting with her. The servers have shifts at all the restaurants and events so you get to know their faces pretty quickly. Shout out to Antonio for being so great. We'd stay at this resort again.

This property lives up to its rating. It is a smaller, quieter resort, so if you’re looking for a party this isn’t the place. But, the place was clean and well maintained. The workers were pleasant and efficient. The resort was beautiful. I never really have high expectations for resort food, but I’d say the food was good. I really liked the Italian restaurant and the nachos at the taco place.
I forget his name, but the server at The server at The Compass bar makes a really solid Old Fashioned.

There is nothing to do but drink and go swimming if you don't book excursions. The entertainment was limited and the food was so and so. The bartenders and staff were nice and the rooms were comfy

Evertything was ok, but we arrived a 10am after a long trip from Puerto RIco (more than 12 hours) and asked if they can let us go into our room before check in time and, even though room was prepared before that hour, we couldn't access it.
Since we arrived the place they let us go to restaurants, bars and amenities. Staff was nice and helpful all the time.
I was a goog vacation place after all.

My recent stay was amazing! From the moment we arrived, the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The resort is beautifully maintained, with stunning views and excellent amenities that truly capture the laid-back, tropical vibe that Margaritaville is known for. A special shoutout goes to the incredible team members who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Emilio was exceptionally attentive, always ready with a smile and eager to assist us with anything we needed. The hospitality we received from the various team members named Alex, Eduardo, Mario, Hibram and Angela was outstanding. Each one brought something unique to our experience, whether it was ensuring our room was perfect, offering great recommendations, or simply engaging in friendly conversation that made us feel like we were among friends.
Emilio and the Alex truly embody what great service should be, making our stay not just comfortable, but exceptional.Their dedication and warmth made all the difference, and we can't thank them enough for their efforts.
We can't wait to return to Margaritaville Resort and enjoy another incredible vacation. If I had a complaint it would be please update the room keys as they are a bit weird and sometimes don't work and the lifeguard should be more attentive when on duty I saw him looking at his phone the whole time he was on post or sometimes wasn't even there.

Stayed 7 nights with family of 7. Enjoyed everything they had to offer from the food, hospitality, kids activities and shows. Everyone was helpful but would like to give a shout out to Alfredo who was great and went beyond to get our granddaughter an umbrella by dragging it from the beach to where we were at. Also Jesus who always greeted us every morning and asked us if we needed anything. I would definitely return to this resort and I also recommend it. Thank you

The staff were super friendly, and a special shout out to Rafael who served us at Latino's, and Angela at the blended bar! They were so lovely for our party.

The property overall is very clean and the room was very fun and well decorated. I loved having access to the pool and bar area right off of my room on the first floor.
This resort could be incredible if the staff wanted it to be. Check in was awkward and not welcoming. I was not given a map or even information on the layout of the resort. I was given no information on the dining options and left to figure it out on my own. The food was not great and I would not consider myself a picky eater or “foodie”.
I was not aware of the live music and special dining options they have in the evenings… I also had to find that out by word of mouth.
The excursions I booked were wonderful. I loved leaving for my dives and snorkeling right from the dock at the resort.
I was disappointed that they did not allow me to use my resort credit through Expedia for my massage.
Overall, this resort is just okay. I would recommend asking for more information at check in to get the most out of your stay!

Property was excellent, seaweed was a little much but that’s Mother Nature and not the resort. Staff could have been a little more friendlier specially around the bar and waitress/waiter area.

What a nightmare this was. Our flight home was canceled and so we needed to move to a more affordable hotel until we got rescheduled. This was supposed to be a five star property. No appropriate acknowledgement of our needs. Everyone got sick within 6hrs and the hotel pretended it didn't happen. We checked out immediately. No refund on the stay, even the unused portion of it, nor the snorkeling trip we had booked 6hrs prior and were too sick to stick around for.
So phenomenally disappointed in this experience. We were sick for over a week and got no response from the hotel other than it was up to Expedia. And Expedia relayed repeatedly that the hotel wouldn't approve any sort of refund.
Do. Not. Trust your time, money, family to this property.

Property is ok. With great cabana style rooms. We found cockroaches in the shower for two consecutive days. The rest was clean. Not so many choices of restaurants but it is ok. No room upgrade offered no explanation at check in. Very calmed place to relax.

Property was listed as VIP access but is not. Disappointing.

We loved our stay! Staff was helpful and friendly, food was excellent! Best I've had for an all inclusive resort! Facilities are well kept.
Wish we would have gotten a double queen room. We wanted an ocean view which came with a king but the room was too small. There's also no dresser only a closet to organize your clothes. There were tiny bugs and a few ants we kept finding that could possibly have been brought in by the flowers/ greetings put on our bed.
There are a few late activities but if you're looking for exciting nightlife this resort isn't it, we had no problem with it though.
We didn't like that our Expedia $250 credit couldn't be used however we like. They are very selective with how you can spend it, and only a few bucks, 45/250, could be used on massage, that was very disappointing. We weren't interested in the other things they were allowing it to be used on.
The beach by the hotel is full of seaweed but at least they had a beach, I heard the other Margaritaville doesn't.
Other than that we would totally stay again, wished our stay was b longer.

Second time here with my partner. The hotel is classy and fun and I always have a great time meeting people when I’m here, which isn’t typical for me. I think the vibe of the hotel is just so good that it brings this out. I don’t often return to the same resort but this one is an exception. Highly recommended

Nice facilities but the extras are very pricey (massages, tours, rides), friendly staff with small exceptions.

Rodrigo the bartender from the “5 o'clock Somewhere bar” was like a “mother” who knows what's best for her children and always took care of everyone around the bar with motherly love ;) Carlos from the Italian restaurant was very professional, Rita's Tacos restaurant - amazing food. Jesus very helpful person and always smiling - like he said “His name is Jesus and this is his paradise” ;) thank you for the professional room cleaning and all the stuff. Only for VIP stay, we didn't get anything ;( Good life music every night.
