You can tell they are trying to improve the property but it’s a little run down in the lobby/public areas but the rooms were great and the heating systems worked wonderfully. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. Staff were really nice and helpful!

It was an over night stay. The room was very clean. Bathroom was very clean. The shower had hot water. Breakfast was suitable. Staff is friendly. Will stay here again.

The rooms were fine, but small. There was no coffee maker in the room, which was a real letdown because you had to go all the way downstairs for some coffee. There was no ice machine at least on the floor we were on. It was just an empty room that was kind of dirty and filled with other crap. We did have an electrical issue, but we didn’t tell him about it till the end since it was on the last night, our light that was on the desk made a weird sound so we unplugged it. Otherwise it wasn’t bad. I did overhear people talking about cockroaches in their room at the front desk and that was kind of unappealing and hoping it wasn’t true. At least I didn’t see anything thankfully otherwise I probably would’ve ran out screaming and wanted my money back. Also is what made me stop eating there whether it be at the restaurant that’s in there hotel or their little breakfast they serve.

This was the quietest hotel room that I’ve ever stayed in. Normally you hear people running by your room in the early morning hours, here you do not hear anything outside of your room. There were a couple things in the room that were damaged prior to our stay, and there is signs of a renovation going on. Overall the hotel is exceptionally clean

We were impressed with all the remodeling going on by the new owners. Loved the new salt water indoor-outdoor pool and hot tub, steam room, sauna and fitness areas. The newly refurbished king suites were roomy with sofa, table, college room size refrigerators and microwaves.

The hotel staff was very friendly and nice. The rooms where clean, but hotel is dated. However, they did a nice job with what they had. Some of the hotel is under construction. Based on the price the stay for two nights was worth it. Saturday night was a concern as kids ran around yelling at night. I blame the parents!!!!

Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Many upgrades are needed on and in this property to make it more appealing and it seemed some areas were in various phases of this. Staff was accommodating but not overly friendly. No smoke/CO detector in room. Furnishings in room were very worn and unattractive and hard surface floor was dirty. Fortunately I was off property for most of my stay other than sleeping. Sampled the continental breakfast my first morning and found the rubber eggs close to inedible and opted to eat elsewhere for the next four days of my trip.

quick getaway for grandson birthday, many improvements have been made, some are still progress; but the facility was clean, rooms were good size and nicely decorated. Had to leave before breakfast was served (7a-9a) so I cannot speak on that.

It was loud kids running people getting drunk and screaming at 1AM I got woke up 3 times from people next door screaming and partying. The rooms were huge and clean beds were nice and comfortable. If I had it to do over I wouldn't stay there again. Worst experience ever had

The hotel looked like it recently changed ownership. There were many things that looked y see construction or didn’t work. The game room was closed. One elevator had an out of order sign. The juice machine had an out of order sign so there was no juice for breakfast just milk and water. The ATM had an out of order sign. Our shower only had like warm water but we didn’t want to move all our stuff for one last night so we dealt with it. The owner said he’d give me 10% off for that. I’m sorry but what is 10% really? Here’s $20 for all your cold showers.

I received a letter from the La Porte County Health Department that I may have contracted legionnaires disease. I did not receive the letter from the health department for six weeks, of which I was sick the entire time. I recently made reservations to return but had an unexpected stay in the hospital. This reflects my reviews of both intended stays. I would like to stay at this hotel more often due to its amenities and distance to my home. The facility itself is undergoing much needed maintenance all around. The Health Department assured me the Pine Lake resorts is working with the LA Porte Health Department to ensure no serious health risks occur again.

Floor in room was filthy, spilled a drink grabbed a towel to wipe it up and it was black. Remote for tv didn't work, called the front desk they wanted me to bring the remote to the front desk.

The building has an intersting layout, something I had never seen before. There were a few minor things in disrepair in the public areas, but the room was good. There were not many people staying in this large hotel on the night we were there, but it seemed like we were all pushed in close together. We were given a room that adjoined to another room, and in that room there was a couple with very young children. When they gave one of the toddlers a bath we heard the girl screaming as if she was in the room with us. It seems like they could maybe spread guests out a bit when there are so many empty rooms.

It's an older style hotel, and the rooms show their date. Our tub did not drain and we had to take showers in standing water. The staff was friendly, but hard to understand. For the price, I can't say I expected a ton more, but maybe if the room was cleaner in the bathroom area and the tub drained I wouldn't have noticed.

This place was probably a gem in it's day! It does have a cool layout and the open concept for a banquet or small convention, but I am afraid that years of neglect it has lost it's shine. The entire hotel could use a cleaning and the landscaping around the building needs some serious attention. The pool and hot-tub, while they were functioning, were run down and the hot tub had sand on it's bottom. I would not recommend this place as there a lot of other options in the immediate area.

No carpet in the room. Toilet , tub and sink all drained very slow. Wood chipper or what ever the noise was that started at 454 AM was not appreciated . I was able to sleep with fireworks going off so that was a good thing.

I liked nothing about this hotel. The breakfast had no oj, apple juice, eggs, sausage/bacon. No syrup, yogurt, 1 inch of milk in a jug and that was soon gone. No bread, rolls, just a few small muffins which were gone in less than 5 min. No kitchen help. I finally found front desk clerk and he came and said we would try to find items. They haven't touched the grounds in probably 3 yrs. Garbage everywhere outside, cans overflowing. Given wrong keys at check in and went in an occupied room. Close this hotel!

Older hotel which is attempting to modernize key areas. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We felt safe. The restaurant in the hotel was UNO, pizza was very good, dinning area clean except for carpet was very old and needs new flooring badly. Continental breakfast was good, service poor ( no one available to assist you and food ran out by 9am) open from 6am to 10 am.

The drawers were self-closing.!! The toilet seat was soft close.!! Breakfast--you'd better get there early. Not even enough napkins, cups, or plastic ware were supplied. Food good while it lasted. Could have provided a loaf of bread.

Staff was nonexistent, rooms had an odor, bathtub did not drain properly and there was hair and funk that backed up into bathtub as soon as water was turned on for showers. Theee was a family staying on first floor with several kids that had been left unattended we had asked front desk to see if they could check on them as we were worried they might get hurt to my knowledge i dont think the complaint was taken seriously. Staff was NEVER at front desk. We were given 2 towels for 4 adults in each room. Pool was filthy. I could go on and on but all i can say is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

I booked two rooms and my eldest sisters room had marinara sauce on the wall funfetti on the floor and some unnamed substance on the counter. My room nothing worked the outlets and lights were broken. Both elevators were down. Was charged in full at check IN. Before even seeing the rooms. Cost was way higher than deserved. Claimed to have a 5 star restaurant instead had UNO pizza next door. Looked nothing like the website. Will not return.

We made the reservation 3 months in advance. Arrived and the room had no carpet..TV wouldn't hold a wifi signal..door that looked like it was kicked in and very shoddy replaced without a peep hole..asked for another room and were moved to another room which had no working TV or wifi...got a refund and left...
