The bed was not comfortable and hard to park here.

A stylish and pleasant option -- we stayed a single night at the end of road trip. Room was very nicely designed for a somewhat limited space with a seating area looking out over the gardens, comfortable beds. Depending on your itinerary this may not be your pick for the onsen experience if you have other opportunities, over the many good options out of town around the island -- it was very well done and new but a bit small and a bit crowded relative to others visited on the trip. You will get a very pleasant and beautifully designed experience either way but you are paying for the onsen (based solely on our experience) so factor that in.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The Ryokan had all the traditional Japanese elements with a modern touch with made it super comfortable. The rooms had tatami mats and low beds. The regular rooms were a bit on the small side but we didn't mind because it felt very cozy. Room also came with mochi treats and green tea.
The area was a pleasant 10 minute walk to the center, and just across was the Hokkaido Botanical Garden. Right beside the Ryokan was a 24hr Family Mart which made it super convenient to buy snacks and drinks.
The design of the Ryokan was very well thought out, natural materials were used- wood, rocks, stones. Tt felt like being in a wellness retreat staying here. Plus they had an Onsen in the property!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would love to stay there next time I'm back in Sapporo!

Everything about this ryokan is immaculate--the site is beautiful, the onsen is so healing, and the kaiseki was amazing. I absolutely loved my stay, here.

They had some giveaways as perks if you didn’t need cleaning.

A pretty elegant and new hotel in this area. We are impressed by the design of this hotel.

Beautiful, stylish hotel, decorated with great taste. It is modern, clean and has a beautiful Onsen. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located just 2 blocks from Odori park and across the botanical garden, which is worth a visit.
The most serious inconvenience is the lack of space for luggage and a closet. You are forced to use your luggage, couch, tea table as a makeshift closet, ruining the entire aesthetics of the place.
There is no concierge and the staff is young and speak broken/ no English, so it’s hard to get valuable recommendations.
Breakfast was high quality and very Japanese. I would skip. Also, you have to decide a day ahead whether you want breakfast or not, which is a bit challenging with a 12 h jet lag.
Beware when you book, as some rooms don’t have a bathroom.
Overall, I recommend this hotel and would come back.

Very good hotel.
Will come back for next trip

Wonderful hotel and staff. Very classy. The facilities and rooms were well maintained. There were vending machines, coin operated washers and dryers, and a Family Mart (combini) right next door. And then there’s the onsen (public bath) - separated by gender. Very rewarding experience. Clean and very relaxing. Plan on staying at this chain again whenever I come to Sapporo or Shinjuku…

The onsen is great.

Lovely experience. Fun room setup (low beds, sunken sitting/eating area. Excellent onsen bath/sauna. Skipped restaurant cuz seemed expensive given other close options. Good location for walking to downtown sights. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were helpful and friendly and the hot spring pool was very nice. Although it's a bit far to walk to shopping and restaurants, taking a taxi is not expensive.
4.5
Nice room … I like the design and my room view is facing a park … nice. Also good location. Walk to JR station only take 10mins. I hv borrow a lighter from Front office staff for my fd birthday cake. Thank you very much

Nice and clean room. Onsen facility included. Comparable to the shinjuku location. Will return again if in Hokkaido.

Beautiful onsen, amazing breakfast.

loved our stay here, the hotel is beautiful and quaint and the onsen facilities are awesome. was my first onsen experience and they made it so wonderful. only note is it's in a quieter part of town but a 10min walk from shopping and eateries. would definitely stay here again.

The staff were wonderful! Love the Onsen and the ice cream bonus, very nice room and decor, breakfast was great, would definitely come back.

My room had a very strong smell. I asked to be moved and they moved me to a room that had clearly just been sprayed with a deodorizer. The next morning that had worn off and the smell was there. Idk if it was just that floor or all rooms.
The traditional breakfast they served was delicious, both days.

It’s beautiful landscapes, wonderful staffs special Lan Anh one of the Greeter at the lobby. We definitely will coming back💖💖💖

Excellent location, very posh hotel

The room is not as spacey as shown on photos. Overall speaking is very good.

Everything clean and well maintained. Especially for room and onsen. But the distance to susuzuki is kind of farther than other hotels.
4.5
Good experience, nice location, & they also provide parking space.
4.5
Stellar hotel and onsen. I loved the vibe, the comfortability and the top notch service. I felt super well taken care of.
On top of that - it's one of the best onsen experiences I had during my trip to Japan!
Great hotel

Very modern hotel in Sapporo and very convenient. I wish I can eat breakfast there. Make sure you should order breakfast in advance.
If I can say something, I needed to park my car by myself in the parking but if the staff could park my car, that would be wonderful.
4.5
The design of the hotel is excellent beside the services and the politeness of the staffs. The room is spacious that we can lay out 2 suitcases at the same time for packing.
4.5
As with all Sapporo properties, they tend to be a little small when we chose to bring so many luggages to buy more okashi and omiyage. So unfortunately we have to bear with that. However we do enjoy the neighbourhood as it is pretty near to Sapporo station as well as Odori park. We stayed here partially because of that.

In-house dinning needs to book a day ahead and staff should remind the guests on check in

a good stay

very nice mix of traditional and modern ryokan. room was a bit small for 3 but we had expected it from the photos. we were bummed it wasn't clear from the listing that it offered breakfast at an extra cost. wish they had offered option with breakfast included. maybe i missed it. but breakfast was no longer available when we checked in, so it was a shame to miss it and they couldn't accommodate us even though i feel like they had time to prepare more meals. everything is very by the book and sometimes hotels would benefit from some flexibility. overall very nice hotel and intimate so quiet and not too crowded. centrally located close to restaurants and major dept stores and most importantly for ramen lovers, ramen republic nearby!

Incredibly scenic, the walk to and from the bus stop is an attraction itself, Ohara is a gorgeous area.

Our baby threw up on the bed.
But the housekeeping said they ended up on 1pm, so they can’t clean the room for us.
Though they come to change the bed sheet after complaining, still feeling uncomfortable.
What kind of hotel can’t clean up 24hours?
