Elevators are a nightmare

Got there in 8/24/24 upon checking in the lobby was 100 degrees the elevator was like a sauna super hot and humid. Room was n the 11th floor nice view but had a smell to it, very disappointed over all. We upgraded the next day to Altitud Tower it was like night and day. About the food the general buffet was a huge disappointment breakfast at Altitud was good the grill was closed to day out of 4 that we stayed there. If you spect to have a variety of drinks is not going to happen ( one beer on tap ) The staff was great specially the servers. Stay 4 days 3 , we will never stay at Krystal Grand Cancun all inclusive ever again!!!

From the very beginning I was greeted with warm welcome from staff and made our whole stay wonderful any questions we had was answered and gave us tip on navigating downtown I would highly recommend if you want a nice calming experience with great drinks and great staff to make the stay more pleasant

They charged my card for going to a restaurant when it was all inclusive ! Call customer service and they kept hanging up .

The property is outdated, mold smell, buffet very limited food, first day the only place for lunch was outside with no shade on 100 F! They ad 5 restaurants for dinner, but only 2 is open daily if you are lucky to do a reservation at 10 am, because at 10:05 all available spots will gone. For lunch only buffet, awfull chooses almost not eatable! Lunch buffet room is small, for example sweet table has only 3 diff options, for 4 stars hotel this in unacceptable. Meet choose only one! No AC at the lobby or elevalators, complete building smells like mold. All your belonging will smell like mold! They do not clean beach, you should watch not to step on plastic forks, glasses or bottles! This should be rated as 2 stars hotel not 4!!!

A wonderful experience

Each floor's dust-shot room's door was always open, spreading a terrible smell. The elevators did not fully function, and one of the two always had trouble. The towel card system did not function and did not meet the needs. The booking system of restaurants was cumbersome, and requests for time modification were ignored and canceled by staff without notice. Early check-in is unavailable, and there is no place for those early check-in for over three-hours without airconditioning.

The beachfront and food/drink service was perfect. Restaurants we good. Buffet could use additional options for breakfast and lunch.
Elevators were extremely hot and long waits. AC needs to be improved in rooms.
Lilliana on beach service and Julian at the lobby bar were wonderful.

I’ve been here multiple times and have yet to be disappointed. Great staff, great food, great times!

So let me start off by saying this is an older hotel but the views and service did not disappoint. I had an amazing time at this resort. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make our experience great ( thank you Mario, Pedro, Claudio & Eduardo). Also a big thank you to our consigner Janer that helped us make reservations to the resturants & Spa. The food was excellent, the breakfast & dinner buffet had great selections.
The beach front was beautiful and private which made it calm and perfect to relax which is exactly what I went to do. The beds were comfortable to sleep. My only complaint was the elevators. 2 were out of service and the ones working were small and the wait was long and hot. They did say the elevators would be fixed soon so that problem should be resolved in the near future. I would definitely stay here again.
Below is a view from our ocean front room.

The staff is amaizing. I did not like that the beach is public and there's lots of trash 😐 another thing was that my a/c was not working and they took around 4 hours to swap me rooms.

Great location Beautiful place in general, great food, close to shops, restaurants. However 2 elevators were not working the full 6 days during our stay so that was not fun waiting 10 minutes to catch a ride to Lobby. At one point they only had one working from 6th floor so I used the stairs to walk down 11 floors. Not to bad for one person but the whole family had to walk the stairs. I guess after paying almost $4800. On the trip and being on vacation is something really didn't expect to do through.

Krystal Grand was a great value and a great location. The restaurants were fantastic, particularly Ayami. I would highly recommend this all inclusive resort to anyone.

I wanted to share my recent experience at [krystal Grande. Unfortunately, it was far from satisfactory. Here are some of the issues I encountered:
• The food quality was poor.
• The elevators were frequently broken, causing long wait times.
• The rooms had a strong odor of dirty bleach.
• Checking in at the reception took three hours.
• The lobby had no air conditioning.
• Due to only two out of four elevators working, it took about half an hour to get to my room.
Based on these experiences, I recommend booking another hotel.

This resort is horrible. Has not service for costumers. The lobby is a monkey cage. The rooms were rusty and smelled like a wet dog. The resort has not AC and the elevator was broken. The only food served in 5 days was tacos. Even to eat tacos was a 5 to 10 mins wait. PLEASE DONT’ BOOK THIS RESORT

I wish the food is less salty for us to enjoy. The property must fix only one elevator working otherwise
You paid for what you got.

This property and Expedia are scam artist! I booked the altitude tower on July 19th for July 31st-August 3rd, and had been communicating with the property every day until the day before I arrived. And once I got there they told me the altitude tower was closed because the AC had been out for a week!! Not to mention the ac in the main tower lobby, restaurants and elevator had been out for months according to their own employees! I spent over 2k to be scammed with bait and switch! I don’t understand why I wasn’t communicated with by either party! The whole main lobby needs to be inspected the elevator are constantly out and the temperature was very high due to no ac! The manager on property was not helpful at all and you would think they would be after scamming all of the altitude customers ! They wanted to keep people’s money knowing the altitude tower ac was out and still let us fly across the country without notifying us when they had ample time to notify us so we could rebook or get a refund!

Very nice hotel overall. The food was good and the drinks were better! A few positives about this hotel are, the convenience of being able to walk to the clubs and the strip nearby, and the beach is beautiful. Hardly any seaweed. And the staff were extremely friendly always trying to help. The only downside was the a/c was down for three days of my trip, once the a/c was fixed it wasn’t that bad. And only two working elevators, making it a hassle traveling up and down from my room to the lobby.

Only 2 elevators working, took 15 minutes to enter in one, no A/C in common areas, broken furniture around common areas, very difficult to get a reservation in “special” restaurants, basically you can only use special restaurants one or 2 times during your stay because it is not easy to get a reservation. We had a dinner at the Grill and the food was not good at all . The beach is public so better not to visit during weekends because it is crowded. I would not reccomend it.

Manager was very unprofessional. Other employees very nice. Only had two elevators working. Room service isn’t 24 hours.

No air conditioning at all! Please don’t ruin your vacation by going to Krystal Grand Cancun. Beds are tiny and elevators don’t work. No air conditioning in rooms, lobby, or dining areas.

The hospitality, felt very welcomed.

The location is perfect! walking distance of the night strip! The beach was beautiful but it is a public beach so it can get crowded. Also, you do not have access to the lawn chairs by the beach you have to pay for the day.
There was no AC during our stay and it was HOT! The hotel is very old so the hotel smelled very old and moldy specially with no AC running.
Be careful of the annoying timeshare scammers lol...
I would recommend you stay at Krystal Cancun instead of the Grand! again the beach is public. Other than that my son loved it there!

The property is holding on by a lifeline. Management seems disinterested in the poor conditions and employees though not at fault seem demoralized. Hotel sits on one of the best beaches and yet it's sad that no care has been given to the property. Unfortunate that "new" Altitude Tower which is where i booked my stay IS CLOSED due to no air conditioner. And was booked in the older hotel which it also DID NOT have working air conditioner. Although Expedia rep tried compensating for it with complimentary spa massage and bali bed although we had to pay for upgrades. I would have much preferred THAT EXPEDIA AND/OR HOTEL let me know AHEAD OF TRIP of the hotel condition so i could've made arrangements OR KEEP same hotel under my own risk. Been staying in this hotel ever since it was the Hyatt Regency and kept coming back despite other downfalls. It's been unfortunate to see the slow decline overall. I traveled with 2 other families and we tried making the most of our trip. Very grateful to Fernando, server on the beach grill for taking great care of us on the beach which is where we spent most of our time on the bali beds and hut. And was also nice to see Alfonso still there, one of the few remaining employees. Understand the hotel owner's son was there with his family, maybe that's reason why miraculously the air conditioners worked. Oh and don't make it an all inclusive when drinks and food are limited to small menus and hours. Go back to charging a la carte.

Didn't not like it

The A/C did not work well. The room was miserably hot. The food was ok, but the drinks tasted watered down. The Alritude tower was closed due to no A/C. It was very disappointing.

Stay there for 8 nights the A/C didn’t work was to hot on the room ask for fan no help just at the end of my last day they gave a fan

Regrettably, my experience did not meet expectations. The receptionists displayed discourteous behavior and provided false information despite being aware of the malfunctioning Air Conditioning unit. This resulted in uncomfortable heat, especially during the night, making it difficult to sleep. Consequently, I spent the first day of my trip searching for alternative accommodation. Unfortunately, all hotels were fully booked, and the available options were exorbitantly priced. Moreover, the hotel only had two small elevators in operation, leading to long waiting times. Interestingly, the Air Conditioning unit started working on the fourth day coincidentally when the owner's family member arrived to stay for the week. I spent a significant amount of money for my family to stay at this dilapidated resort. I strongly advise against booking at this establishment or the Krystal Altitude, as they may redirect you to this outdated hotel. It appears that travelers are being deceived, with no action being taken to rectify the situation.

AC in all the rooms were NOT working. Some nights was hot

***PLS LISTEN TO ME*** DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. It was so bad that I spent 5 hours on the phone with Expedia to be relocated. Expedia relocated us, thank goodness.
Absolutely no working AC in hotel at all. Not in the lobby, or in the rooms or at any of the restaurants. 20-30 mins wait in the heat for an elevator. Only 2 of the 4 elevators working. Literally took the stairs several times to get back & fourth to the 10th floor!!! If I could give 1 star I would. Very TERRIBLE resort. Do not overlook this. This place will ruin your vacation and if it wasn’t for Expedia relocating us. I would have took my family home early. Spent 1 night. Rooms look nothing like the picture, more like a basement. Very old and dated. Worst resort I have ever been to. Pls be aware!!!

The air conditioning was broken our entire stay, the food was horrible, the staff was extremely dismissive and quite frankly it wasn’t that nice of a resort.

The hotel and staff was great. The firat night we got there they had cooling issues. But the next day they upgraded me to the presidential suite for the rest of my stay. Overall loved it.
