We got to the hotel laid down to rest and I felt something crawling on me they have bed bugs. We had to leave and customer service said they were reluctant to give a refund… for bed bugs crawling on me..

Easy to find , close to a lot of different fast food and next to a bar , only down side construction woke me up early , right in the front of the hotel

We always stay at the Bellis Inn when we are in Bellingham. The desk people are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There really isn’t much of a breakfast though The price is right and a good location.

The lamp next to the bed was missing the knob to turn on. The outlets in the room were warn out so much that the plug would fall out. The remote to the tv was over used you had to wiggle the buttons for a while to change the channel or use the volume. The toilet seem to flush but after a few minutes the water looked like sewage also the room smelled like a chemical storage room. I had to open the window all night long.
I was only there for the night so I just felt with it.

This is a very budget hotel. We knew what we were getting into and needto save money. So it did we needed but there still could be improvements even at a low budget facility. The check in process was incredibly slow...no like seriously slow. You would have thought we were purchasing a vehicle for the amount of time it took. Again happy there are affordable options but maybe the check in processes could be simplified.

The floors were nasty. The beds had broken springs. It was a cheap stay so that’s what I expected. The breakfast literally served Vienna sausages for the meat….

Cute hotel
Nice staff
Better than the neighbouring hotels I’ve stayed in.
Only issue is the area has some sketchy people hanging around the parking lots

It’s really dirty. We couldn’t sleep whole night. Housekeeping didn’t clean the room, sink was in the room and it was dripping. When I asked for a new bed cover and blankets, front desk guy gave me a new set, but those were also dirty. During the night there was noise from different rooms. Dinning area was also very dirty couldn’t eat the breakfast. Overall I don’t recommend anyone to go to this property.

This was the starting point and end point of our road trip across Canada and the Northern States of America, and we were very pleased with the quality on offer. In fact it set the standard for all the others we stayed at during our trip and came out on top.
The others all fell short on either comfort, quality, cleanliness standards or breakfasts, so I would recommend the Bellis Inn any day.
The only very minor downside was the spa was not available, but it wasn't a major concern.

Convenient stop. The room was fine. The gentleman at the desk in the morning was courteous and helpful.

I was disappointed in the quality of the facility compared to the online photos. There was no plug in the bath tub and the toilet "ran" if not flushed a certain way. I found a used coffee packet left in the coffee maker so it was obvious that it hadn't been checked. The breakfast was mediocre with a poor selection of food. No swimming pool and the spa advertised was not working. I would not recommend this for families with children.

I would like to shine light on the fact that this place has to be limited staff. Me and my husband stayed here as a stop on our 1 day driving trip. We couldn’t even get a hold of anyone at the front desk there were unreachable we try to attempt to call for new towels. We cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I called the front desk several times so staffing is a big issue at this hotel. I also did not realize that the hotel allow dogs. We were next to someone with the dog and even though the dog didn’t bark all night, the dog was growling all night, and we could hear it through our walls. The walls at this hotel are very thin, I didn’t think it was too much of a problem until the dog a.m. every time somebody walked down the hallway which kept waking me up then I realize it was a bigger problem than I thought as far as cleaning the shower could’ve been cleaned out a lot better it stains around the rim of the shower that I just felt like could’ve been taken care of easily by wiping down so overall the hotel was OK but I definitely would not stay there again. It just wasn’t clean enough for me. the staff was not interacting enough. There was very limited staff. I think I see one person there a whole entire time and I don’t even know how long he worked maybe a 15 hour shift. It looks like , it was just a lot going on and the place could be kept up a little bit better. Thank you

This hotel is the worst there is. It is soo dirty and is old and not kept up. I do not understand how this hotel is still operating. The hotel is falling apart and does not get cleaned at all. We checked out after 10 minutes of being there it looked so unsanitary. PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE.

Cose to shopping and dining. Morning desk person was friendly and helpful.
4.0 / 10.0
Although I enjoyed the lower rates, the person at the desk at night had zero customer service skills. Locals in rooms on top floor with kids pounding on floor ALL DAY LONG! Homeless people living in their cars in overflow parking lot.

Great service, shaving hair in the sink, razor blade (drug use) on the floor, wrappers behind the table.
6.0 / 10.0
Everything was pretty good, it is what you pay for. Was like 84$ a night. Breakfast was mid at best. The “egg’s and sausage” was in fact just boiled eggs and hotdogs. If you’re looking for breakfast go elsewhere. Everything else was decent, the coffee pot was in the bathroom which was odd. If you don’t mind the breakfast this hotel will work just fine. The slo pitch right next door has excellent breakfast so there’s no worries. The staff was extremely friendly!

Needed a place to stay after a long drive and before crossing over into BC. For just crashing and going it wasn’t a bad little, older place. Not a lot of frills but none needed.

The hotel says non smoking but it was obviously people were smoking. People parking until all hours of ghe night. Staff was very nice though

evening front desk staff clearly hated his job; unfriendly and impatient.
Room was clean but very average. Pillows and bed not very comfortable.
4.0 / 10.0
Although I have stayed. in many budget hotels before, this one is definitely one I will not be returning to. Based on previous good reviews, we changed another reservation to be closer to the central area, the beds were sagging and super uncomfortable, the room was very humid and stuffy, and the breakfast at 8am was only crumbs and scraps left with only the napkins being refilled.
Although it wasn't "the worst" it is definitely not one we will be returning to while passing through!

Overall ok except for the smells of smoke and dog, when you are first going into the room. Probably the best free breakfast i have had while traveling. Staf is a little bit cold but no problem

Rooms smoke or pet smell.
Bed average ... nothing special.

Hair stretchies on the floor, bugers on the wall, makeup and thick dust on the blow dryer. It’s obvious care is not taken when cleaning.
Lots of sketchy people around. Thin walls and noise being made all night long
Definitely the worst place I’ve ever stayed and somehow was $175. We asked for our money back once we saw the condition of our room but were denied

Really dirty rooms and poor condition. The bathroom was no clean at all, hair everywhere, dirty blankets. I won’t ever come back to this hotel. I can’t believe it cost almost 200 dollars.

Not good, elevator didn't work. Put me on the 3rd floor
