The large outside decks hang directly over the creek with pretty waterfall views upstream. Your able to fish without even leaving the property. There is easy access from the bank opposite the decks for wading, playing or just sitting in the cool mountain water with a beverage and relaxing. The beauty of the area will have you never wanting to leave. But if you decide to venture out, the property is very convenient to many attractions. Wow!!! What a wonderful gem along a picturesque creek in the NC mtns. This is a perfect cabin getaway. It’s very quaint and not fussy or over done with “cabin” stuff. A throwback to my childhood of spending summers along a creek not too far away. Will absolutely vrbo this place again!!!!!

Rick is a wonderful host and the house was exactly what we wanted. It was the most well stocked house I've rented! The creek is beautiful; you can hear it as soon as you open the door. Coffee on the lower deck over the water is a great way to start the day. So peaceful! We will definitely book it again.

We chose to stay here for our annual friend trip a group of eight friends. If you’re looking for a place to just getaway and relax with nothing but the sights and sounds of nature this is the place for you.

This cabin is an awesome place to just be! Totally relaxing. Clean, stocked with everything you need (except food and clothes of course) and the sound of the rushing creek or the jukebox.
There is a Super Ingles really close which seemed to have a little of everything. (Go before you drive into cabin. You will not want to leave.)
The drive into the property is a one lane gravel road and you have to cross multiple bridges. The last one for us was partly covered with rushing water (it rained a lot the week before our stay). None of this caused us any problems reaching the cabin but was glad we arrived during the day.
If you want to find peace and spend quality time with your partner and/or family, this is the place.

My husband and I (with our dog) stayed in this home for a few days to get away from it all and boy did we. This home feels very secluded and private. We only saw the one person and no traffic the whole time we were there and we never left the home accept for a trip to the gocery store. It truely is a place to go and stay, no need to leave. We enjoyed walking the dog in the quiet neighborhood, playing in the creek, relaxing on the deck listening the the creek run by, we cooked in every night, the kitched is well stocked and has a selection of spices and such. While we always bring everything we need this home already had a lot of the staples. It is a lovely location to take some great photos. The Jukebox was fun, even though it is mostly filled with country we did find a few cds that we enjoyed (and very thankful to find the next song button lol). The living area was comfortable and I bet the fireplace would be lovely in the winter. The bed we slept in was a bit firm, but thats more of a preference thing. There was a decent sized hottub, although we never used it. The bridge to the house is a little intimidating but seems brand new and was fine for our pickup. The only negative I have is the kitchen sink water pressure is not great, but didnt make our stay any less wonderful. It was easy to communicate with the owner. We will stay again next time we make a trip to the mountains. We recommend this home for familys, couples, pet owners, & those seeking a retreat.

We wanted a family weekend away from the hustle and bustle and thats exactly what we found. The pictures do not do this place justice, much more awesome than the pics made it seem. Is rustic but clean and well appointed. Its not far into town, we found an amazing fine dining restaurant called copper door in hayesville. There is a very nice ingles close by for groceries. We enjoyed the cabin so much we didnt want to leave much. Its well equipped with anything you could need, perfect for familes, had no problem cooking easter dinner, had great wifi and tv channels too. Jukebox was also a nice touch, has country and rock. You can here the creek most any where in the house. The creek has a perfect spot with rock stairs for playing in, especially for little kids. The drive to it may appear sketchy for city folks but wasnt bad at all. We got a smart car and a big diesel truck to it no problem in the rain so dont let that disaude you. We didnt need anything during our stay but the host was super helpful and accesible and provided great information. Hands down one of the best family vacations and vrbo we have found to rest and recharge in nature. The views in the area were a treat in itself and is a gorgeous area. Super thanks to the hosts for giving us the opportunity to share their amazing getaway.

Beautiful setting, rushing creek, bridge to the house and fording the creek. The long drive to the back of the community was worth it. Charming, secluded and beautiful property. Creek was lovely. House was well stocked, plenty of space for 10 of us. Small firepit area for when it was cold. Hot tub was nice on the first cold night. Would recommend, it is a place you will tell your friends about. A car can pass through the creek crossing, looked hairy to cross but we had an SUV.

This property was amazing! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, which was perfect for us because we brought food so we wouldn’t have to leave. We were there for rest and rejuvenation, and this was THE place to get it. The creek, lower temperatures, solitude, and very comfortable and spacious property was exactly what we were needing. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful cabin. Everyone loved it. We rented it so the family could stay together while we were in the area for my son's wedding. Wish we could have stayed longer. It had plenty of room with comfortable beds for everyone. The nature setting is so peaceful and relaxing with the river flowing right in front of it. I Loved sitting on the deck and watching the kids play in the water. Then at night it was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub while listening to the river. The Kitchen was stocked better then any other place I have rented. Also plenty of towels and supplies. The jukebox was a great. Everyone loved it. The owner was great. He was quick to answer my text messages. He allowed us to check in a little early and offered us to have a late check out if we wanted. Some of my family are already wanting to rent it again for a vacation.

Beautiful cabin. Had everything we needed for our family get away. Parking is limited. Neighborhood is excellent. The little bridge you have to cross was a little scary at first but we got over that quickly. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Great stay. The host called and checked on us and gave us information on the weather and offered us to stay longer if needed due to the rain this past weekend. Great host.

This cabin is so cool it has a mountain river running right underneath the porch! This cabin was such a perfect get away place to stay at! Me and my girl friends had so much fun and it was so much more interesting than any other cabin I’ve stayed at! My girlfriends and I have been so caught up in work and life in general we really have had no close contact with nature, this place gave us the perfect place to do so! It was literally 5 steps into the river below and we acted like little kids and then got so cold we ran into the hot tub and then when we got too hot we ran into the river again haha! The cabin itself is so nice and comfy inside that you’ll never want to leave! We had a rain day and it was perfect to snuggle up inside the cabin and watch movies and listen to the sounds of nature. This place is awesome! We will be renting again soon for sure!

Great cabin. First let me say the cabin is in the most beautiful spot. Almost majestical be outside and see and hear the rushing waters and the foliage around it. My husband and I were able to sit on the deck and watch our grands play in the creek Below. we loved using the hot tub at night such a beautiful view of the river with the spotlight shining on the water. The cabin was perfect for us and our grandkids plenty of space so many rooms such an interesting cabin decor. There is even a jukebox that plays all kinds of music the cabin has a very well-stocked kitchen and everything is very clean I would highly recommend this place for Families or just relax and have fun.

Creek house in the woods
I really enjoyed our stay at this house. The creek was a very nice and enjoyable amenity to the outside environment. The house had plenty of room and beds. However parking is very limited and has a small wood bridge to cross, so plan accordingly. The wood Part of the bridge broke partially when we drive on it so that was a bummer that we had to park in the road out front. Owner was apologizetic and we still very much enjoyed our stay. I would definitely rent this location again. Thanks
