About this house rental
We’re excited to share one of our favourite places in South Australia with you. Our pet friendly 3 bedroom holiday home is located about 90 mins from the Adelaide CBD and within just 15 minutes of some amazing local spots of the Fleurieu Peninsula with Rapid Bay, Second Valley and the launchpad for Kangaroo Island of Cape Jervis nearby. The house is also in the perfect location to explore nearby Deep Creek Conservation Park, Morgans Beach and is on the doorstep to the wine regions.
The fully fenced property is set on one acre and is landscaped with native trees, shrubs and 100 year old stringy bark trees for adults, children and pets to explore. Come inside and there are three bedrooms, two queen sized beds and the third has a double bed. The heart of the house is the living and dining space with a wood fire heater perfect for the cooler months and a split system air conditioner for all year round comfort. The large windows on both sides of the living and dining take full advantage of the northern sun. The kitchen has a gas stove and microwave available, and the property is on rain water so there is a filter in the kitchen for drinking water.
Head on out to the back deck and there is a gas barbecue and outdoor setting which is a fantastic spot for bird watching, watching your pets enjoy the property or having a glass of red (or two).
Our holiday home is perfect for a getaway with family, friends or a romantic getaway with a special someone. There is a large range of boardgames as well as DVDs and a smart TV in the lounge room and free access to Wi-Fi internet.
We do have a range of tea and coffee supplied. Between visits the house is cleaned with eco-friendly products.
We do have a ring doorbell which has a camera for remote security at the property located at the front door.
Although there is a spa bath pictured in the bathroom this is not able to be used due to the property being on rainwater.

This is second time we have stayed at Araluen. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful location perfect for the two of us and our greyhound. Great to sit amongst the rosella's, wrens, finches and occasional robin. Well stocked with firewood which was so handy for a mid winter stay. And close by is the interesting bush walk to the old silver mine which gives a stunning view across the strait to Kangaroo Island.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house and the surrounding garden. Our two year old loved exploring the place and watching the birds on the deck. The place has everything you need, Lee has even arranged a high chair and a cot for us. We stayed over Easter long weekend and when we arrived there were some chocolate treats for us all :) A wonderful experience, we’ll definitely be back!

A relaxed stay for us in Silverton. Escaping construction works next door to us in Adelaide, it was lovely getting away and back to nature at Arulean. Lots of native birds, a warming fire and a backyard that goes on forever (our dog was in heaven), we thoroughly enjoyed our few days away.

Wonderful stay. Absolutely loved it. Surrounding gardens are extensive and beautiful. A lot of room for active dog and children. Our dog loved it and when weather ok didn't want to come inside. Well set up for all situations inside and out. Inside lovely with many homely touches. Weather was terrible but still lots to do inside. Birds are frequent visitors even in rainy weather. Considering coming back again with young Grandson and family

Beautiful garden lots of birds, very relaxing
We stayed with our small dog, and felt very relaxed the whole of our stay. Watching the birds from the rear deck, watching wrens & spinebills hopping around the front garden while making breakfast, peaceful & quiet! Property was secure for our dog to wander around and explore. Thanks Raylene great experience.

A wonderful stay surrounded by nature
What made our weekend most memorable at Raylene and Ian’s place is the beautiful surrounds in which the home is located.
A short drive to Deep Creek Conservation Park; Ingallala Falls, Blowhole Beach and Morgan’s beach made the location very family-friendly with lots of things to do and see.
Check in was effortless and when we arrived, we were surprised with a bottle of wine and chocolate- thank you! :)
Once we settled in, we went and explored the wonderful back yard where our 19 mo toddler squealed in delight at the sight of the tyre swing and swing set. We also loved watching the sheep in the back paddock each day too.
We will also never forget the joy it was for our toddler who loved heading out each morning to pour bird seeds onto the feeding station. the simplicity of sitting on the deck patiently and watching the rosellas and finches come by and eat was pure joy for our toddler and ultimately, us too.
Thank you for opening up your home to us :) xx

Beautiful tranquil setting
Hubby and I took our 2 dogs for a short stay away - and this was the perfect place for us. The house is surrounded by trees and a large garden front and back, which is full of butterflies and birds. There is plenty of space for the dogs to run around, while being fully fenced from the bulls in the paddocks out the back. The location was great being 25 mins from Normanville and a short drive to rapid bay and second valley.

A beautiful setting for a quiet, relaxing stay. Surrounded by a wonderful variety of birds.
Lovely stay for my hubby and dog. A beautiful setting, beautiful surrounds and close to many small country towns and beautiful sights. I am on a tri walker and found the accommodation great for myself and limited mobility. Great deck, where the local birds visit in abundance, beautiful garden and enough room for the dog to run in a secure and safe setting. We had a lovely relaxing, quiet stay and enjoyed our day trips out and about locally.

A wonderful getaway to feel secluded from the crazy world we are living in! Was so lovely to enjoy the warmth of the fire, the view of the stringybarks, birds all around and a nice glass of wine. Comfortable bed, peace and quiet and we really enjoyed the hike of the nearby Silverton mines. Thanks Raylene - it was a pleasure!
