Such a comfortable place and right on beach. Great times

Great location, comfortable beds, blinds need to be replaced.

I love this place! My family and friends stay here multiple times a year. Unfortunately, the place is less cared for with Vacasa(doubt you will post this review). Specifically, cleanliness and it seems people that are renting it now are not treating it that well. I have spent about 14 years going to this property, I do know. Anyhow, I think it is time to change back to the local care givers. I feel like I don't want to complain when I go, cause I want to enjoy myself and not have a person cleaning while I am there.

We had a very special stay in Manzanita. Very close to the ocean. Even possible to watch the big waves from inside the house. We had very rainy weather, but that didn't bother us. Going to the ocean in a big storm has it own charm ;-). The house is has enough room for a family of six. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to spent some time in Manzanita and also for the help given when needed.

Great spot and has everything you need for a family get away

Older home right on beach path. Great location, short walk to town. Sheets for dogs to put on furniture. Dog bowls

The property location was perfect. The inside furnishings are worn and may need to be replaced in the near future. The TV in the living room area did not work. This was exactly the respite I needed. I will be back.

I love this house because it IS dated. It’s cozy, right on the beach, and nautical themed. It reminds me of visiting a grandparent’s place, and I enjoyed it very much. The kitchen is well stocked and there are many restaurants, cafes, and a grocery store within walking distance. The only reason I can’t give it five stars is because there are no smart TVs in the house—you’re stuck with a poor variety of cable channels or a collection of VHS tapes. Additionally, the beds in the guest room were comfortable, but the king in the main bedroom is extremely uncomfortable. Overall, we’d stay again, but the price point is a bit high given the amenities. Either way, we loved it and have nothing negative to say about Manzanita.

The house need remodeling except for bathroom and kitchen. Simply it is just too old.

The property has an amazing view. Inside it's dated, but clean and has most everything one would need. Wifi was slow, but who needs wifi when the beach is mere steps away. A reasonable walk to restaurants and shops. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the setting and fabulous beach walks. Bedding comfortable and such easy access to beach and town. I can see where this would be great for families as well ( it was just my spouse and I) but I think property could be improved if the added better outdoor furniture , had beach chairs for renter use and beach toys for the kids!

View, location, living and dining rooms were great. Remainder of the house is in dire need of updating. Carpets in the bedrooms rust and avocado...tells you the age. Matted and soiled. Smelled like room freshner sprayed daily. Master head board broken loose from the wall. Sheets almost wore out. Bed frame groaned every time someone moved. Disgusting. Didn't want your bare feet to touch the floor. Vinyl is the rest of the house has to be from the early eighties. Local management team was attentive to issues we had with oven not working and coffee maker gave out. Surprised Vacasa would put their name and approval on this rental. Update to make this a class rental.

Enjoyed the beach access and ocean view tremendously. House was comfortable and had all the necessities we needed.

Not too close to the busiest part of the beach, but just a short walk from it. Easy walk to downtown. Good path to the beach. A bit of work to pull a beach wagon up the soft sand that makes up the ramp up the bluff, but that is a small inconvenience for an otherwise perfect location.

generally an excellent home for 2 couples or a family with kids. Not luxurious but very comfortable and everything works but the TV

This property was not a 4.7 star rating. Not sure if this is via Vacasa or not, but it was NOT accurate.
Other than location this property should not be on the "vacation" rental market. It appeared to be built in the 70's and it showed and smelled like it, very must when entering.
The condition was horrible, original vinyl flooring which was cracking in multiple areas. Original doors and door knobs that were grimy to the touch. Original shag carpeting in the bedrooms that you didn't want to walk barefoot in. Furniture was about the same condition too, so you didn't feel comfortable using it.
Windows that could not be opened to get fresh air.
Non functioning coffee maker.
Intermittent wifi.
Non "smart' tv
Linens that were worn through. Paper thin towels. No Kleenex. Dishware very limited and appeared to be from the 70's too.
It was so bad we didn't feel comfortable staying the full four nights.
We will not be using any VRBO "Vacasa" managed properties in the future. Not sure where the responsibility lies, but it's clear based on our past experience Vacasa managed properties are very sub-par. There appears to be very low standard if at all for being in the vacation rental business.
We were very disappointed and clearly didn't get our full value.
VRBO has work to do if we would recommend them in the future. And definitely not recommend those managed by Vacasa.

The location of this house is amazing! We had two dogs with us and it was so convenient to take them to the beach. Beautiful views. House is older but very clean and nice still. We are already planning our next time to come back!

House was clean and cozy. Great for us and our dogs. View amazing and beach access literally right out door.
A few repairs needed, door knob to back door not attached (we had to reattach with a butter knife to use door), chimney top at an angle and unable to open and close flue so we did not have a fire. No instructions about how to get keys to house in check in email. Had to call for help and get lock box number, then keys didn’t work (locks seem rusted). Only one set in lock box. Luckily security code on one door works well.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if these items were attended to.

It was a cozy little cabin on the beach. What else could you ask for. Walk out the back door with a cup of coffee in the morning in your pajamas and be standing on the beach in mere steps, I did and it was glorious! It's super close to town, I walked into town to pick up some groceries at the local store and also walked in another time to get some pizza @ Marzano's which was super delicious. It was great to have a real fireplace for those stormy days to huddle up on the couch wrapped in comforters and watch the storm while listening to the crackle of the fireplace. The finishes are a little dated, but honestly it adds to the charm of the place. I would highly recommend this place.

Loved the location of this cozy place. It's position on the dunes affords amazing views. We also loved the vintage touches that look to be original to the home.

This was a great place to stay for my family and I (husband, adult son, and two tiny dogs). We enjoyed the ocean view, easy access to the beach, and closeness to the main town area. This home had everything we needed for our beach getaway.

Nice to be so close to the ocean. Suited our family and dog needs. Could use some updates and maybe a few newer towels, linens and dishes and cups. However, it.still was a great location and we loved the walks on the beautiful beach.

Great home with a cool 70s vibe. Location and views are fantastic. Vast collection of movies on VHS (yes, video tapes) and a National Geographic magazine collection going back to 1961! The home had everything we needed. We had a problem with the tv and someone was there to fix it right away. King bed was comfy. We would definitely stay there again!

We absolutely love this house - it's the perfect location and size for our growing family. We noticed and appreciated all the upgrades as well - from the new windows, new dining table to the very clean & neat interior. The only thing we'd like to see changed out is the mattresses. The queen has NO support & we spent our nights trying to clutch the sides. The kids mattress is on its last legs as well. But! other than that the stay was perfect. Thank you again! we'll be back... hopefully soon!

This is a great place to stay, and we've been staying here for going on 12 years now. We love the wrap-around couch, the full kitchen, the quiet, the sound of the ocean, the proximity to town--Close, but not too close--a perfect walk. Thanks for another great vacation!

We've stayed at Sandy Shores several times over the past few years. Maintenance has always been a problem. One year, we replaced the ripped front screen door ourselves. This year, the shower/tub sliding door fell off, when my husband was getting ready for a bath. Fortunately, he wasn't in the tub yet. It's difficult to figure out how to use the satellite dish(think it was broken)--not a big deal, but needs repair. The place is well-furnished, clean ,and comfortable, and we love the giant couch! Thanks,Sue Skinner The windows need black-out curtains for those of us who can't sleep in the light.

We could'nt have gotten luckier with the weather especially in April. Clear blue & hovering around 70 degrees! The house is perfect for a nice getaway with friends & family. The views are great from the living/dining room & on the adjacent deck as well. Oceanfront views & direct access to the beach make this home a great place to stay at. We will definitely book again. My only complaint as others have stated in past reviews is that the mattresses have seen better days. If the mattresses, pillows, & bedding were updated I think this place would be really close to perfect.
