To Whom it may concern, Before I leave a review or contact VRBO, I wanted to make you aware of the conditions we found at the house. We arrived late Sunday evening 8/18/24. We were unable to stay in the basement due to dampness and smelling like mold. It is apparent that the basement had recently had a water issue. The condition of the basement in no way matches the pictures represented on the VRBO listing. Flooring and baseboard had been removed and it was apparent that the basement had recently had a water issue. Also, the bedroom in the basement is a walkout with a door and window next to the bed. The door does not have any type of curtain, shade or drape on it to give any privacy while in the room. Due to the condition of the basement we had to use one of the bedrooms upstairs which was fine, but the bed was awful. It was a worn-out mattress that had a mattress topper put on it, but the actual mattress sucked! No support and sagged into the middle - this was the best double bed in the house. The mattress reminded me of the old mattresses that my grandma had in her upstairs that the little kids were expected to sleep on. A couple other things....the hand rail down to the basement is broken off, the carpet by the back door is disgusting (dirty and damp), the garage and kitchen smelled like someone had been smoking in them, and in the main floor living room the ceiling lights do not work (it looks like they are non-dimmable LED bulbs put in a dimmable switch circuit.

We were in town for the Show Me Games. This was my sons last year competing in the baseball games and we wished we would have found this place years ago. It was perfect for us. The house has everything you need. And the location to restaurants or anything else you may need/want to do was perfect!

What a great space for our family to live while we were moving them to Columbia. More than enough room, all the conveniences of home. Nice and clean. Nicely remodeled. Owners were easy to talk to. Hope we can use this house again.

Our stay began with the owner calling us to tell us their cleaners were MIA and that we might have to change our own sheets...and it went downhill from there.
While they did find someone to clean and change sheets, we were super disappointed with the overall stay. There was barely any hand soap anywhere in the house. No toilet paper or paper towels upstairs. We had to hunt for them in the basement. There were no tissues or hair dryers. There was no laundry detergent...so the cleaners couldn't do any laundry and the pile from the previous guests was heaped next to the w and d. I'm glad we didn't have to wash any clothes. Sub par mattresses, bedding, and towels you could see through and/or were stained. There weren't any bath mats in the upstairs bathroom. They have a microwave, but all the dishes are plastic and not microwave safe. We had to heat food on napkins. They have a cute sign that says "Wine Time" but zero wine glasses. So we left him two for the next guests. And finally the grossest part of the stay was all the trash piling up in the garage. It was disgusting and smelled atrocious. You could smell it inside the house.
In terms of safety, the owner hasn't a clue. In Missouri, where summer storms are prevalent and older homes with power lines sometime lose power, he had no candles or flashlights. It would have been nice to be able to sit in the living room without holding our phones up like we were at a concert.
Lack of attention to detail abounds in this home.

When we arrived there were 10 bags of garbage in the garage which caused the house to smell. Fruit flies were abundant in the house as well, coming from the garbage through the cracks around the door. After sending a message to owner, garbage problem was not taken care of. There were also no knives to cut items with for cooking. Everything else was great.

We were in town for a baseball tournament with friends. It was the perfect house in a great neighborhood that was really nice to take walks around. Also is close the local rec center, which was very nice, as well if staying up on your fitness is a priority. Would definitely stay again when in town.

A group of moms stayed at the house visiting our sons for the weekend. Super convenient to campus.

Really loved all staying together in this house for moms wkd. The house could have been more clean. It wasn’t awful by any means…however, there were bags and bags of garbage in the garage, old food in fridge… no garbage bags for us.
The dishes and kitchen stuff is very old and worn. Kind of a mix of people’s old things.
I know it’s a college town… but, updating a little could go a long way.
It was very easy to book, check in prices couldn’t be any easier and the house itself was nice and had a great back porch.

Beautiful home in a great location in Columbia! One bedroom actually has two beds in it (more than listing states) so it was a nice surprise when we arrived. We had a little hick-up with the cleaning crew running late from the stay before us but the property manager was quick to call once we sent a message about our impending arrival. House was impeccably clean and cute, only odd thing was no top sheets on the beds.... Overall highly recommend for groups staying in the Columbia area. We will be back!

Myself, my wife, and 3 other couple stayed in the house for Homecoming weekend this past weekend, and it was nothing short of perfection. The description of the property was spot on, and communication with the owners made everything incredibly easy. Its the perfect distance from anything you could need in Columbia, but not too close to the madness on a football weekend. Tucked back in a quiet neighborhood, this is a VRBO gem! I can not wait to stay here again next year.

Everything needed for a home away from home, to fix meals and rest. Being a newbie, I didn't realize there wouldn't be paper towels, toilet paper or hand soap in the bathrooms.
There was a plumbing issue in the basement room and the hosts responded quickly and made sure we were accommodated for.
Very clean property in a great location, especially for MU events.
