This is such a nice little place to stay , it felt like we were living like one of the locals, it was a great experience . It was all we needed as a home base to check out what Oahu has to offer . Would love to stay again

This place is not the typical place but was a great stay. Great AC, bed space for 4, and a great location for things on the North Shore or the PCC. Worked out wonderful for us.

Had a great time. Enjoyed being away from all the tourist areas and having peace.

enjoyed the ruralness of the place. Easy to follow directions. Would stay again if we ever go to Hawaii again.

Just our style. Country sounds and gorgeous landscape. Even the uncle’s place looked like American Pickers (Hawaiian style) and sneaking through was as exciting as it was as a kid without the neighbor yelling to get off his lawn. Just a short beautiful walk to a gorgeous empty beach and a short drive to the north shore. Not for those looking for a resort experience but perfect if you enjoy a glamping experience. We loved it!

This was the perfect location for us to come check out BYU Hawaii and explore the north shore. All was explained well and is as is. Worked well for us and our purpose

We stayed 4 nights with our 2 grade school-aged kids and they loved all the animals around the property - any bird lover will be astonished by the variety & beauty of their sights and sounds. The house was freshly clean, 2 AC units cooled it quickly and the beds were comfortable. The owner came by and taught the kids how to shuck a coconut and it was a highlight learning experience (it’s hard work :). I loved that we were an easy driving distance to North Shore, Waimea and Sharks Cove. Having Hukilau beach a couple minute drive for the end of the day for sunsets was also ideal. It was the kids 1st trip here and we had a wonderful time.

Cute home, off the beaten track but very accessible to all things North Shore Oahu. Great communication and directions from the owner...thanks!

This place had everything we needed. It was very peaceful in a country setting. Loved this after staying in the noisy city. Lots to see in the area. The owners are very nice and excellent at communicating, and providing info to help you find the house. Cozy, comfortable, and peaceful. Thanks!

We stayed here after going to the PCC so we didn't have to drive back to Honolulu with our internal clocks on East Coast time.
It was a great place to stay the night, definitely small (around 24'x20' overall in 3 rooms?), but waking up and hearing the birds was great, and it had everything we needed.
Great place to go and get away without being too far out of the way (we continued across the North Shore and went on to visit Pearl Harbor).
We found had a couple of minor maintenance issues with the bathroom, but they didn't impede our using them and I am told they are being fixed.
Great communication from our host and we enjoyed our stay!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay in this “Tiny Home”. The unit was very clean which is a must for me. The location was quiet and away from the noise and bustle from the city, just a short 5 minute walk to beautiful Hukilau Beach. Some points to note when staying here would be that all cooking must be done via electricity. The kitchen appliances include a two burner hotplate, toaster, rice cooker, single cup coffee maker (you can bring your own grounds to use in the reusable filter), and microwave. The fridge was apartment size with plenty of room and no issues with the fridge part freezing food or the freezer melting as we have experienced in other rental units. AC works well but only needed occasionally as we could often get a nice breeze through the screened windows. What really made this stay awesome though was our hosts. We really felt like we had come home to family upon our arrival. Sam and Jansen were easy and quick to communicate with and we loved the lesson on coconuts and some of the local Hawaiian history.

All recommendations had a personal story or touch that made it a unique experience. Even when at a busy stage of their lives Jansen and Sam took the time to explain with details how to move around the area and learn about coconuts and fruit trees. Loved the access to great beaches and native culture

We loved staying here! The hosts were wonderful, kind, and very responsive. When my husband mentioned he loved coconuts they cut and husked some off the trees on the property for him. It was so nice to have beach chairs/snorkel gear/boogie boards to use while we were there. The location is great if you eant to explore the north shore!

Three adults stayed here for 5 nights. Let's start off with the good points. Pros: Good communication from the host. Boogie boards and snorkeling gear for use. I needed a beach umbrella and the host made sure we got one. Comfortable beds. The Cons: The host apparently has a beef with her uncle who lives nearby. We were cautioned to drive slowly past his house to avoid him yelling at us. It wasn't a problem but it didn't feel very welcoming. The place needs a thorough cleaning and updating. It is apparent that at some point there was significant water damage in the unit evidenced by the delamimating particleboard doors and furniture. We could not, after 5 days, figure out how to temperature regulate the shower, either scalding hot or cold, only a few seconds of warm before a swing back to the other extreme. No outside area to relax in. There were two chairs and a firepit in the driveway/parking lot at the front of the house but not somewhere you'd want to sit and relax. Only a few electrical outlets worked. No trim work, exposed foam insulation around cracks. Lots of little cosmetics things that made the place look neglected. Broken curtain and towel rods. Black towels and cheap black polyester sheets on the twin beds. Imo, linens should be white or light colors so you know they're clean. All in all I would not recommend or stay again

It is called a tiny house but it had plenty of room, didn't feel small at all. The location was fun, tucked away just a couple minutes off the main road surrounded by green. It was easy to find and plenty of beaches and places to eat on the main road. The host was so helpful and responsive - I would love to go back!

We were immediately greeted by a beautiful bouquet of flowers from our house for our 25th wedding anniversary. Such a great personal touch. The host was very easy to get in touch with for any questions that we had. Our location on the north shore was just what we wanted to experience Oahu

The La'ie tiny home was perfect for our stay. We were travelling through town for one night after a day at PCC. We were so glad to have a short drive after a long day in town. The entire space, bed, and especially AC were comfortable and the kitchenette useful to have. Our main regret is not getting to use all the extras for cooking and outdoor fun. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

Overall this was a great experience. The location was exactly what we wanted—out in the country towards the North Shore. The place was quaint and clean, the bed was comfy so we slept well. It’s country, so be prepared for roosters, but that’s completely understandable to us and didn’t bother us at all. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay! Many thanks to our hosts!

This is a great "tiny" house away from the noise and bustle of the city. Located on the north shore of O'aho it's near a lot of great beaches, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and a real grocery store. Using only 3 to 4 roads you can get anywhere on the island within an hour. We loved the country feeling, waking up with the chickens and learning about coconuts and breadfruit from our hosts. They are the friendliest, most helpful hosts one can imagine.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at this countryside tiny home. The rental property had everything one might need for a non-hotel stay on the north shore. Completely tranquil and close to local beaches and food options. Our host Jansen was relaxed and great at responding to our messages. We were lucky it was available for a friend's wedding on the island and would reccomend to any of our low key family and friends. Thank you!

Dont let the drive in fool you. Place was real nice. Greeted by a wonderful cat. Loved the tiny home. Close to all the beaches and food. Will always consider to stay here if we get back.

This little place was off the beaten track - like WAY off! It was perfect for my partner and I, who like to stay away from large cities if possible. It’s a great place to relax after long days at the beach.
The shower was a bit different, and at one point a neighbor (uncle?) started burning stuff on the property; but the appliances were updated, everything worked properly, and over all we had a very nice stay. We weren’t bothered by said neighbor at all. There was also a super friendly cat who greeted us each day! Please continue taking care of her, as she’s a sweetheart.

Tiny house in the jungle off the beaten path, a more local experience. Very nice hosts and lots of birds to hear including roosters.

This is a rustic property of the beaten path. This is a great option for people not needing a “resort” type experience. The couple who run this VRBO are extremely kind and responsive. This is everything you need if you plan to adventure all day and have a simple place to come back to at night! The kitchen allows for cooking in the house and makes for a more budget friendly trip if that’s what you’re looking for.

We had a great week at the North of Oahu, staying at this lovely property near La‘ie.
Everything was as expected, the house is in a calm, natuaral area and everything was as described. We especially loved the free snorkeling / beach gear we could use!
After an issue with the hot water occured, Jansen, the host, did everything she could to fix this asap and to provide us with other options to take a hot shower in the meantime.
All in all 10/10 experience!

We enjoyed our first stay in a tiny home and of course, it was nice to get away from the city buildings and loud mopeds driving around. With hotels so expensive nowadays, we were very happy to find that this Vrbo was available to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Thank you so much to the hosts, we love the little details, like the chocolates! ◡̈

I know I'm going to regret not saying more, but this trip was the absolute most relaxing and enjoyable vacation I've ever had. The host were SO helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a coconut lesson, we husked, cracked and enjoyed fresh coconuts. We enjoyed the history and cultural lessons that the host shared with us. The location was super convenient to everything we did. We enjoyed the snorkel gear and surfboards. We followed the rules, and really just had a great time. The place was clean, we had all the amenities that we could need. My wife asked me to find out what kind of mattress we slept on because it was more comfortable than the one we have at home! There is honestly not enough good I can say about our trip and our host, they helped make this the best trip ever! 100% recommended!!

Good location for north shore exploration. Not like my past experiences with vrbos was supposed to meet owner for key, and had to contact owner for additional supplies, tp , towels so not seamless but owner was very responsive. Area was a little different overlap with neighbors a little ,coming in at night there were people along the road or by rental but did not feel unsafe . For price it was a good experience.

Our host was an amazing communicator.

The hosts were fantastic, quick to respond and provided and awesome welcome packet that we used daily. We were there during heavy rain, which caused some new issues for the hosts that they fixed immediately. We were a little taken a back by the location of the tiny home being on their extended family’s property, having to drive through their space coming in and out (via a super bumpy dirt road, we had a low car and had to strategically drive around the holes). Being in the countryside the animals were numerous (if a light sleeper being earplugs!) and provided a pretty unique experience. It is an awesome home base to explore the east side of the island, with gorgeous (and quiet) beaches and food spots and only 25 min to the North Shore as well. Overall, a good experience!

I just returned from 6 nights in this tiny home in Laie and wanted to leave my honest review.
Pros- home is in a great area on the north shore very convenient to attractions on north shore, hosts are very sweet, home was clean
Cons- I was without internet for a day and a half due to a storm and I am aware this isn't the hosts fault, I didn't have hot water a few days and the host ended up refunding me some money back but this was a major issue for my teen daughter who made me take her to a local friends to shower, We saw many ants and other insects in the home although we were told it was sprayed monthly. I am aware this is a tropical climate but I haven't had this issue with other rentals in the past, laundry is not in the tiny home itself as I was led to believe, it is actually in the hosts home and they will do it for you. I like doing my own laundry as some things get hung and it wasn't accesible 24/7 like I originally thought.
I would recommend this home even after some issues and I hope this honest review helps with anyone looking into staying here. We were also promised fresh coconuts from the tree outside but never did receive them.

We truly enjoyed our stay. We travel quite a bit from several different stay ranges. This was absolutely great to be a location secluded away from the city, it is small but spaciousand home like feel. We were out and about most ofbthe time and enjoyed this space to lay our head. It gave us an advantage to get to places earlier than the folks coming from the city! We enjoyed the tranquility of the area. Tiny home was well equipped with Essentials. We prepared a hand full of meals and what tiny home provides was just enough. Hostesses were super Friendly and easy to communicate with. They were able to help us with attending PCC. And we enjoyed many of the area attractions they had provided in their guide book. Many thanks to the hosts!

The host was really responsive and helpful. The location is in the north shore of the island with short drive to beautiful beaches. This tiny house would be spaciou, clean and beautiful if they just finish their reno.
