About this house rental
With sea views from every room, Admiralty House is a wonderful seaside holiday home located in a formal Naval building dating back to the 1780’s. This elegant development of terraced town houses is set in manicured lawns and gardens with a private car park. There is a private patio at the front and garden furniture to use. Two allocated parking spaces in the private car park. The three-storey house has a fabulous, large open plan living space on the first floor with lovely elevated sea views, three bedrooms (two ensuite) and a family bathroom. The house is not suitable for infants (children under 2). The coastal promenade is just a stone's throw away which takes you into Deal, with its iconic pier, seafront restaurants and pubs and buzzing high street with boutique shops and artisan delis. Deal Castle is also just a short 5 minute stroll away.

My family had a wonderful two week stay at Admiralty House in July 2024. From the moment you step through the grand entrance door you will be impressed at the grandeur of this spacious 3 story apartment. The three bedrooms are beautifully furnished and have very comfortable beds. The ground floor ensuite is particularly grand. Moving up to the first floor, the main living room, dining room and kitchen are flooded with natural light and a view across the road past the houses opposite, to the English Channel. The top floor has the master bedroom and another double bedroom both with channel views. The master has a hidden ensuite behind the closet doors which was a great surprise!
The entire apartment is nicely equipped and comfortably furnished. We felt at home immediately and it was lovely to stay in a building with so much history.
Shoutout to the staff at Keeper’s Cottages for their excellent service. We wholeheartedly recommend this property.

This appartment is definitly a great space in every sense. The building looks amazing, when inside you have a spotlessly clean 3 bed appartment with everything yiu need for a lovely holiday. Location 5 minutes from the beach promenade and a 10 minute walk up to the pier.
BUT unfortunateley we only could use 1 shower at a time due to a problem with the water system and although Keepers Cottages tried they could not get a plumber to check the system while we where there (hopefully it was not to big a problem) We where compensated but it delayed getting out and about in the morning. Please dont let this put you off . Big plus 2 car parking spaces.

Brilliant location, just minutes from the coast path and short walk into Deal town centre. And such a historic building! I remember visiting on a school trip when it was still the Royal Marines Music School, and watching the band rehearse. The configuration of the house worked well for us, allowing each of us our own bathroom, and the 2 parking spaces were a godsend given the difficulty of on-street parking around Deal. Only real issues were with the windows, which are really hard to open and close. And the sitting area could be more comfortable - deeper sofas, pouffe, more small side tables, lamps etc. But overall a really comfortable and convenient base which we'd gladly book again.

Excellent location and good communication. Deal has all you need without a car, but other places of interest within easy reach.

Firstly Admiralty House is a fantastic looking set of buildings situated close to Deal centre, the beaches and also easy access to lots of walking routes. Space available here was very good and could easily accommodate 6 adults with 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 with en-suites and an additional family bathroom. Everything that you would need was provided and in general was in good condition. As a rental property there are signs of wear and tear but overall the property was very clean and well presented.
Near to town and the beach, (5 minutes walk maximum), but private and quiet.
Things to be aware of; The house is over 3 floors so you do need to have reasonable mobility. There are 2 parking spaces but one is impacted by the kerb coming in so probably works for one large and one smaller car. Nearest supermarkets are 5 to 10 minutes walk away, next to the railway station. Good WiFi throughout the property, TV offers lots of options but a bit complicated to get to work. Deal has a very wide range of good pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
Bedrooms are a good size and perhaps larger beds would be nice to have.
Overall very, very happy and would book again. The team at Keepers Cottage were excellent throughout the whole process.

Comfortable, spacious, decently equipped. Good location for walking to town or getting away to explore the area. Great to have a view of the sea.

Perfect property in the perfect location. Will be using Keepers Cottage again as we found them very responsive to any questions and they have lovely properties. Thank you for arranging the weather for us as well!

A spacious, comfortable and well-equipped period townhouse with distant sea views.
Elegant hall and lounge with spacious dining table.
Easy level walk into Deal or to the lovely shingle beach.
Outside patio could be improved upon - not ‘private’ as believed.

The house is spacious, well equipped and maintained with the benefit of two parking spaces. The location is a good base to visit this part of Kent. However we found the upstairs bedrooms hot and uncomfortable even though the outside temperature was moderate. Leaving the window open all night was not an option due to traffic noise in the early hours. A fan would have made a huge difference. The outside sitting space was disappointing with no privacy to relax and have a drink or a meal.
Our initial problems were dealt with quickly and courteously by the team.

A beautiful laid out accommodation that sleeps six adults very comfortably. Two of the three bedrooms have en-suite facilities with a further bathroom. The cleanliness was superb and the kitchen contained anything you could possibly need. My only negative issue but it’s very minor was the outside space, maybe the area could be tidied up a little and the seating area more refined. The location is brilliant and very good views out to see. Deal shops, pubs and restaurants or only minutes away. We travel down to Deal every year and will definitely book the accommodation again.
