The fact that the property is on the lake keeps me from giving this stay a pretty poor review. First off, unfortunately the ad for this property on VRBO omits the fact that this gated community has a lot of rules (the home has a good amount too), so you are always wondering if your going to get reprimanded for something (oh what fun!). Also, I specifically inquired if this property had a bedroom and bath on the entry floor and the response was yes… we’ll I’m not sure who would consider a futon next to the dinning room table a bedroom. I wouldn’t make a real fuss about this except that we had a guest with mobility issues ( who also preferred some privacy including a few walls and a bed, also known as a bedroom…well that was out for the duration of our trip).
The use of the canoe was very nice, my kids really wanted to use the super fun paddle boat that looked like it was practically made for children, but I had to explain that the rules said they could not. There’s a lot of land on this property, so it’s too bad the owners don’t think of taking the paddle boat out of the water and covering it up until they need it for their own use.
The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked. The bathrooms were not since we soon found out that the home had 2 full rolls of tp between 3 bathrooms.
Whelp, this was a last minute booking, so I’m glad we found something, but just wish it was more worth the cost.

We - a family of four - stayed for an extended weekend and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the comfortable house. Especially having meals on the deck with view of the lake was a perk, The boats, paddles and life vests were easy to find and we did some Kajaking. The house was o.k. clean, could have been a bit cleaner. Specifically I it has such a beautiful view of the lake that it would be nice if some of the windows were cleaned. Other than that it was as expected. Note that walkability at Pine Mountain Lake is low - to walk the dog we had to take the regular road which has no sidewalk and is a bit dangerous. There are no paths for pedestrians, even though there would be enough space. There are some shorter trails within the resort, but you have to drive to them. For nicer longer trails you would have to drive closer to Yosemite. Kajaking the lake though was absolutely fabulous and the house had everything we needed. We would certainly book it again.
