Lovely accommodations.

This is a B&B that sets the standard for others to follow. We thoroughly enjoyed our check-in experience (completely automated, did not meet anyone in person, with an attentive text-based concierge ready to help). Our room was culturally authentic (adobe & tile) and well-decorated and equipped. And the breakfast was worth the entire trip to Flagstaff! The Love Apple being right next door was amazing, too. Such lovely views of the mountains, collegial guest neighbors, and self-picked fresh apples – this was an idyllic stop along our journey through the Southwest.

This is an adorable little place to stay! We did a super late check in but the rooms are set up with a code and are easy to access from the parking area - each room has their own parking spot, which is great - so a late check in was no problem. Large comfortable room called Los Amantes. Tons of space and a jetted tub. There aren't a ton of amenities but it isn't that kind of hotel.
Easy access to the best parts of Taos!
If I could offer a single suggestion: mix up the breakfast menu a bit. It was a nice hearty breakfast, but it would be nice if it was different from day to day.

Great property. Love the self check in. Any staff we encountered were very friendly. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast one of the best we have had. A few minor details would be more attention to cobwebs in corners and lotion in the bathrooms. Otherwise a great stay.
4.7
The breakfast was amazing! Easy check in-all in line. Super nice in room touches. Spa sandals, robes, authentic Spanish feel
4.7
Really a great place to stay. The breakfast is awesome as well. I had to leave early due to a family emergency but will be back !
4.7
The style and size of the room were great.
Had to be moved to another room due to ants. No a/c and uneven floor.
4.7
The place was clean, secluded from main street, well landsped and the inn keeper was friendly and respectful.
4.7
Although, the staff was accommodating initially. There’s no Air Conditioning, bathroom sink had no hot water, Reached out to staff, and received NO response. WAY TO EXPENSIVE for the property.
4.7
Very pretty place. Nice breakfast.

Loved it!

Very nice place. We enjoyed the stay. Nice breakfast. I would come back except on a hot summer day as it doesn’t have AC, but not a problem for us as it was a cool day even though it was mid June.

We've been returning to the Hacienda since a first visit in 1995. Through ownership changes the same historic charm remains, along with the level of service and the friendliness of the owners and staff.
4.7
What a beautiful property! We truly enjoyed our one night stay while driving through NM. The owners have taken great care to ensure guests have a nice experience. The rooms are well appointed, the grounds well kept and very peaceful and the breakfast was gourmet! Loved everything about this place and would come back for sure!
4.7
Clean and easy to get to the Plaza and restaurants.
4.7
Super friendly staff, room was great ! Love the heated floors! Highly recommend this property!
4.7
Overall, whole place could use some TLC. Room was quite small with only one low wicker chair for seating (other than the bed). Bathroom is quaint, but getting a little rough. You can tell the grounds were nicely landscaped in the past, but are a bit overgrown now. Convenient location.
4.7
The room was perfect for our 10 year anniversary trip. Peaceful and serene! The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Great location to travel to all the places we wanted to go! Especially the mountains! Would definitely stay here again!
4.7
Very cool Southwest. Great breakfast. Beautiful outside areas with 100 year old massive cottonwoods.
4.7
Spent 3 nights here and we absolutely loved it. Very cozy with great views and close to a lot of shops and restaurants.

Beautiful compound

We had only booked 1 night but as soon as we got to the property and walked into our room, we immediately booked a 2nd night! Would absolutely recommend Hacienda del sol

Amazing B&B!
Very comfortable room, tasty breakfast, friendly and accommodating hosts! Everything was just perfect!

What a treat! We spent a couple nights in the Rio Grande room and couldn't have been any happier. Spacious accommodations, there was a television (but we never turned it on!), beautiful outdoor seating area. The breakfasts were the best we had on our whole two week trip and the staff couldn't have been any nicer. We had an outstanding dinner right next door at the Love Apple, highly recommend it as well. Would most definitely stay again.

This was a great stay !! Breakfast was perfect! People were so kind ! We will come back
4.7
Peaceful, clean, quiet, very high quality breakfast
4.7
Parking situation need improvement such as paving the roadway. Room did not have adequate furniture such as a side table by the bed, no luggage rack to put your suitcase & the table the coffeemaker was on was so small it could barely fit everything on it. Could not properly control the water temperature in the shower, it was hot or scalding hot. Breakfast was good. Overall it was over priced for what you got.
4.7
We loved the sanctuary-like atmosphere of the Hacienda, and the history as well.
Right in old town, it's convenient to everything we like to do.
4.7
Peaceful and Relaxing!

Peaceful property

Loved the room and the staff was awesome.
4.7
The bathroom was extremely tiny. Friends had to be moved due to no heat in their room. Linda Carter was extremely accommodating to change their room. Entire property was very dated. The entrance and driveway were unappealing and confusing. Breakfast was below par especially the omelettes.
4.7
Never had a room with a fireplace- really nice and cozy
4.7
Very unique B&B. Breakfast was excellent every morning. There is a hot tub that you can sign up for a private time slot. Comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again!
4.7
The bed was immensely comfortable & the atmosphere was outstanding, however having only 1 tight hour for breakfast was ridiculous and when i inquired about coffee at least after missing the spread, I was met with rude dismissal. That definitely put a damper on my impression. That, and the level of the management’s hands off approach proves that maybe less isn’t more.
4.7
Incredible stay! We would happily stay here again. Rooms are comfortable and rustic in the best way. The history of the property is awe inspiring and permeates the grounds. Highly recommend when staying in Taos.
4.7
Unique and historic hotel to stay, great!
4.7
Good quality breakfast items, fresh squeezed juice, croissants, traditional NM food well prepared
4.7
Our stay was a quick overnight stay for my husband's birthday. We stayed in the Los Amantes room. It had a fire place, a steam shower and a jacuzzi tub. The pictures don't do this place justice. It was amazing. Linda held up to ensure we had everything we needed. We will be back.
