Good for booking in Winter time, especially for Mountain Sking. The room is cozy but too small.

Upon arrival at 5:30pm and again at 8pm, the coffee/tea station had no cups or regular coffee and it was dirty. Room was stuffy upon arrival and air conditioner in room didn't come on so, we slept with window open all night.

We enjoyed our stay. It is in a beautiful location.

Aside from the fact that the service company messed up the payment (it was resolved), the accommodation was as advertised and served our needs. They are best accessed by the 802 phone number, they were friendly and receptive to any questions we had about the area. A few cosmetic updates will help the visual appeal, but there’s nothing that we felt was under the level of accommodation that we expected.

Mountaineer Inn is unique in many ways. It’s not a cookie cutter type lodging. It’s beautiful and fits into the environment and the outdoor portions are just lovely. I always enjoy my stay there.

Too basic.

Loved the nostalic charm of the property. Very clean, comfortable rooms, several great common areas. General manager/inn keepers were personable and very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Grounds were nice and maintained. Location was convenient to our activities. Plenty of parking.I have Verizon, Wifi and service was spotty ( not their fault) otherwise it was a good stay.

Our room was left with only a tiny bit of toilet payer on the roll and no more in the room. There is no staff at the desk or anyone to answer the phone. I found a closet that thankfully had been left unlocked and was able to get a roll of tp.
The listing said coffee was available anytime but there were only a few k cups of flavored coffee, no regular, and nothing in the way of creamer.
The pool and hot tub had not been opened yet for the season (in August). We booked this listing because it was close to the golf school we were attending and looked forward to a swim after a hot day.
This was very disappointing.

Mountaineer Inn is a gem.
My favorite part of the experience is the beautiful outdoor space. And when you’re in the pool, you feel connected to the landscape. You’re immersed in nature.
The innkeepers are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good. Windows and various outdoor spaces make you constantly aware you’re in the Mountains of Vermont.

Expedia keeps emailing me so I am basically saying the same thing a bunch of times
Charming inn, lovely spacious outdoor area, good breakfast and friendly innkeepers

The rooms are newly renovated and are very well appointed. The lodge / common space is amazing. The grounds are well kept. Great place for a Summer stay.

Just one complaint. The bed was very, very soft, which I really don't like. I realize this is a matter of personal taste, and I got a good night's sleep anyway. But I think a lot of people would share my feeling that a mattress should be a lot firmer than that one. Like I said, no other problems.

I really liked this property, particularly the beautiful outdoor space. Altogether a charming inn.

Nice Inn with new management. It is ran with limited staffing mostly like a VRBO. Great communication and directions for getting in. Property was clean and the view was beautiful. Disappointed that the pool and jacuzzi were not open and cozy queen room has no microwave or fridge. Breakfast was small and continental type serve yourself. We would recommend it to others and we would go back. Good parking for motorcycles is a plus!

The Inn has a rustic quant vibe. This Inn needs some attention. My room was two small for 2 Queen sized beds. The bathroom needs renovation. The continental breakfast is pretty much a Kurig machine and a bunch of stale looking pastry.
I could imagine this place being great for young skiers needing a place to crash and drink in the common spaces.
It had a youth hostel feel.

Nice property in a quiet area away from main road. No staff available after 4:30pm made check in a bit challenging (another guest had accidentally taken the keys that were left in an envelope on the desk for us).

I got this hotel because it said it had a pool and hot tub and I had my children with me, I told them the whole car ride when we got there we could go swimming. When we got to the hotel the pool wasn’t running/had a tarp over it and neither was the hot tub. It was a huge disappointment for my kids and that was the whole reason I picked this hotel was because of the pool and hot tub for my kids. I would have went somewhere a lot closer and cheaper. That should have been on the website.

Made a reservation for 2 nights, they charged my card in full. When we got there the place was completely closed, not a single guest or staff at the property. No call backs, no support from the property or Expedia. Am being told we can’t get a refund because that’s the policy.

Loved that this is a legit old ski lodge and still has the feel while having modernized what needed to be. Loved it here.

BUYER BEWARE…I would give this hotel a negative numbers if I could. We arrived nobody was there just an envelope. The hotel is rundown. The room is so small and lock on the door was broke. There was only one other guest we never saw. The jacuzzi was dirty and so was the hotel. For breakfast the silverware were all dirty. No real breakfast just packaged products. The staff were not friendly just avoided us. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but poor breakfast tipped the scales and we checked out after breakfast.

I will be making a formal complaint.
The hotel room was moldy and the room smelled like mildew. The gusts ran up and down the hallways until all hous of the night. Not allowing for rest and relaxation. When asked the guests continued to let children and themselves run wild. No sleep. The walls are so thin we did not sleep as the man who kept us up talking all night then snored all night. Where was the staff? This was a really bad experience now we have not slept. I’m. Still hearing the man snore and kids have begun to run wild down hallway again.

The facilities were very nice, especially for the price. Everything was spotless, and there were good amenities. Unfortunately, the breakfast ran from 8-10AM, and we needed to leave by 7:45. I asked if something could be put out for us early and was told it would be, but the only things were yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and fruit that looked really old. If you are skiing at Stratton or have an early lesson or want to get on the slopes early, don't expect to have breakfast. Also, the walls were very thin, so it's not great for light sleepers.

...you can't get 5 stars. Wish there had been some compensation for that. But this place was great in many other ways. Interesting areas to explore, such as a game room, and proximity to Mount Snow were big plusses. Every hotel should have at least one EV charger these days. Was very clean and well kept. Would have been nice to have fresh waffles or pancakes (instead of microwaved from frozen?) for the Vermont maple syrup. I would definitely go back, if the hot tub is working!

Very convenient check in and location to the mountain was prime

We checked in without an issue. We then went out for dinner and 1.5 hours later we returned and there was no parking due to multiple vehicles taking up two parking spaces. We informed the desk staff and staff told us there was nothing they could do be all the guests were intoxicated. They told us we needed to park on a dirt road off property. Unacceptable

The motel was fine and would recommend it EXCEPT they don’t offer receipts. Stayed for a work event and called multiple times asking for a receipt, answer kept changing and finally they don’t offer receipts-that was problematic for expense report for work. How is that possible?

Great location, new and clean rooms.

Cute place, small rooms, hot sauna, comfortable bed, literally across the street from mount snow. For the price it’s a good place. The breakfast was just ok. The game room meant pool, foosball.. no board games. Hot tub had a TON of chlorine. No hand soap in the room so I used the body wash from the bathtub. Cute sitting areas
