About this cottage rental
A Mountain Cabin BEST suited for a Young Couple but up to 4 people who are outdoor enthusiasts looking to experience the great oudoors and spend there time outside to go Forest Bathing- Also known as Shinrin-Yoku in Japanese which is a therapeutic practice that involves spending time in nature to relax and connect with the environment through the senses. It will improve your health and well being. Grounding or Earthing is a trend now as recently seen on Good Day New York here in NYC where research shows you should walk barefoot on the earth and grass for many health benefits which can be done easily here in the very spacious backyard of grass and Moss. The Steps Going Upstairs are a little STEEP and the Outdoor Terrain is UNEVEN so this is NOT a Place for the ELDERLY OR PEOPLE with LIMITED MOBILTY and BALANCE. Breathe fresh mountain air and explore, build a fire in a Traditional Fire Pit (NOT a Fire Ring) and listen to the crickets at night over the dark sky filled with stars, take an outdoor shower, BBQ on the weber propane gas grill, Play Volleyball or Badmington . Do NOT buy Bottled WATER but drink the FRESH catskill spring water from the cabin faucet . Its from a Natural Underground WELL that goes 180 FT below the ground and filtered by Mother Nature and Pumped up just like Poland Spring or many other bottled water suppliers. No chemicals. Your skin will feel so soft and fresh after a shower and you will not contirbute to pollution from plastic bottles. Let the water run for a minute to get nice and cold. The cabin has a modern touch of technology with Air conditioning and Fans! 4KHDTV with built in APPS such as Netflix, HULU, Amazon Prime, Spotify, etc.. Onkyo surround sound system with Klipsch speakers and Blooth tooth ability from your phone to play your playlist. 300 MPS spectrum internet. The TV upstairs is old school and not smart but can only play the Huge selection of DVDs available and VHS Tapes from back in the day so bring any if you want to wath them !
An Onkyo stereo which can play cassette tapes and CD's. Check out the multiple board games such as Monopoly, Cranium, Trivial persuit, Checkers, Uno , Master Mind and more. Exclusive NYC Morton Brown Body Wash for the Shower and Starbucks Reserve coffee beens and Grinder to make some fresh morning coffee. Feel free to use the condiments such as the multiple oils, spices, sugar, salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup salad dressing , etc.
Less then 2 hours from NYC you can be transported to the wilderness with wild Turkey, Blach Bear, Night Owls and all the wildlife the catskills has to offer. Located near the*****BashaKill Vineyards and wildlife preserve where you can Kayack, birdwatch, fish or sample the local Wines with excellent FOOD (For adults ONLY) . IT is a MUST !!! 10 Minutes from the Town of Wurtsboro for shopping at the Canal Town Emporium, CrystalConnections and dining at Pasta D'oro, Las Mananitas Mexican, The Red Dot Vegetarian and classic American at Danny's. The Wurtsboro cafe is also in town for breakfast and lunch. Do your Grocery shopping at THE G Mart supermarket on route 209 South as you go back to town and pass the intersection. It will be just down the highway on your left before the re-exit to the Route 17 highway. You are also Not too far to the *****Westwind Orchard and cidery, and The Arrowwood farm and distillery past Ellenville NY. Check out *******Sam's point and Ice cave mountain in Minnewaska state park (You must go online and make reservations to park your car). *****The Dale- for Pizza, Burgers , NY craft breverages and weekend brunch; ****** High Voltage Creek Bar- great outdoor spot weather permitting with Monthly Gay events and ******Forage & Gather Market (foragemountaindale.com) for gluten free breakfast and sandwich foods for lunch all in the Town of Mountaindale 10 minutes away. A Binder is supplied inside with Maps and all the places of interest. Power can go out during severe storms or NorthEast Hurricanes which have been occuring more often in the north east and have consequeneces. If power goes out it is usually not more than an hour or two. There is absolutely nothing I can do !!! Light the multiple candles and a lantern is supplied. Play all the multiple board games and enjoy great conversation and the experience. The power will eventually go back on. This is a cabin in the catskill mountains and it is all about the weather that can affect electrical supply. But the beauty is in the fresh air, water, and wildlife. Hot water is limited because there is a hot water tank and it is not supplied by a Municipal water company. So if multiple people take showers at the same time you will have to wait for the tank to heat up again. The Stream water upfront going across the driveway is OK for your dog to drink. My dogs drink it all the time so dont panic. It is clean and filled with minnows, crayfish, frogs and salamanders. Pick the Fresh Mint from the stream to add to your Mojito drinks or food !! Also add some fresh basil or other herbs from the planters at the patio area .

The place was very secluded, as advertised, and was just what we wanted. Very cozy, quite and comfortable with everything you needed to have a good time. I Will recommend this place and also will definitely be back. Both my wife and I loved it and had an awesome time. Thanks...

We had an excellent time. Quiet and being away from the city was perfect. Out dog enjoyed it as well

Idyllic setting in the woods with a rushing stream flowing through the property and multiple seating areas around the expansive yard. House is located on a quiet, peaceful street with limited traffic. I think I saw three cars in three days. Fire pit is actually on a rock wall/ledge, so you can't really sit around it. Because my friend and I stayed Thanksgiving weekend and it was super cold, we would have liked to have sat closer so our legs and feet weren't freezing; however, there is ample dried firewood, both in kindling and logs, available, so if you're just looking for ambience during the warmer months and/or roasting marshmallows, the location of it is fine. We actually cooked hot dogs on a stick. Hot tub was still not working, but it was pretty large and looked in good condition.
Inside the cabin is cozy and rustic with wood stove for cold weather heating (provided you pay extra for special wood). Family room has state of the art sound system and TV. Kitchen has all the Cuisinart appliances you could need. Sadly, no tea kettle, though. The hot water only takes seconds to heat and it is hot!
Stairs to loft bedroom areas are not ideal for people with mobility issues as they are quite steep. While we didn't try all the beds (there are 4), the mattresses we did sleep on were pretty shot.
Overall, this rental is a great getaway, and the owner was responsive, courteous, and easy to work with during our conversations.

My girl and i are a youthful 70. We had no problem what so ever. Beautiful walking even the hills. Your accommodations for us were perfect. Advertised as it is. The indoor wood stove set the perfect mood/ambience for the weather. Thank you it could not have been better.

The property was very lovely and well stocked. I enjoyed my time there. However... there is a neighbor who has a few dogs that bark all day long which is quite annoying. Also, the reason we rented this place was for the hot tub and it did not work (didn't hear above 78 degrees). Because of that I can't rate it highly still has a fun time there, but we live in the city (Philly) and we were both very much looking forward to the hot tub so when we found out it didn't work... the whole weekend had to change. Very disappointed in that. Now it feels like we have to find somewhere else in the area and rent somewhere when so we get the hot tub moment we were itching for for our honeymoon.

We wanted a place where we could relax and get away from the stress of everyday life and we found it. We had such a relaxing weekend at this cozy cabin surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. It is the perfect place to find your peace again.

The property and location were both fantastic! The cabin would be pretty small for any groups larger and 2 or 3 though. Also the listing said there was a queen bed but it was only a full. Still quite comfy though! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed ourselves!
Our little home away from home was just what we needed, parents of 5 children (all teens).
Large, clean and serene property with a cabin filled with all that one will need.
I would definitely love to come back and bring the kids. I know they would love it just as much as we did!
Thank you Rosato’s for such a warm, and cozy welcome in your home!

We were looking for a secluded place to get some work done and enjoy some of the area's attractions. This was definitely the place, especially with the hot tub! We appreciated Gerald's recommendations. Be sure to check out Westwind Orchards and Bashakill Vineyards. It was a wonderful week away!

My partner and I had a really great time. Even though it rained half the time we were there, it was really beautiful. The home is well equipped for almost everything you could need: first aid, cooking, fans, blankets, and heaters! My favorite part was the outdoor shower (we couldn't figure out how to get the hot tub to the right temp) and fresh herbs growing right outside! The host was very easy to communicate with and provided a plethora of places to explore in the area. I am really looking forward to visiting again. thank you so much :)

Adorable cabin, had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Owner was quickly responsive to questions and pleasant to speak with. Hot tub was great, outdoor seating areas were cozy and inviting, private feel. Great weekend getaway!

It was just the right place at the right time. It was a beautiful cozy place in the woods.
Even though it rained, we spent a lot of quiet time with each other. My wife and I hope to come back in the near future. I highly recommend this place to others.

Great little cabin! My partner and I went for a short weekend getaway and it was perfect-- it's tucked away, offering privacy (can only see one neighbor, barely, from the front of the house), but not so far that it's a schlep to get there. The amenities are good as well, lovely wood-burning stove and a hot tub made a late fall trip warm and cozy. They have a STOCKED spice cabinet and the kitchen is a breeze to use. Only downside would be the very steep stairs to the upstairs where the beds are, and that there's only one full bed which is under a sloped roof, so whoever sleeps closest to the wall might bang their head. It's cutely decorated, lots of lamps and candles, big time mountain cabin vibes, but with the extra luxury of things like a hot tub, grill, wifi, and coffee-- thank you for the space!

Victor was a lovely host and was extremely communicative with us, helping with any and every question we had. The house was extremely cozy and clean, with a good deal of cooking materials readily available. The little stream in front of the cabin adds very relaxing background noise when star gazing outside, and the overall space was perfect for the trip we had planned to go a little upstate and relax. Would definitely go back :)!

First, the interior of the property was very cluttered, most cabinets in kitchen and bath were packed with stuff. Most flat surfaces were covered with stuff. TV was way to difficult to operate with surround sound so just unplugged hdmi and used the tv speaker since the room was about 8x10. The stairs are very steep. Main bed room could use a queen bed instead of full and twin. Bedroom tv was unusable a small smart tv would work nice there.
Outside hot tub and grill were best part of property. We have stayed in many types of properties in many states and find a simple clean uncluttered property works best for a few nights stay.

Lovely place not too far from people and just enough space from people. Property has lots of outdoor seating and activities. Main event is the hot tub. Star gazing in the warmth of the hot tub. Cottage is cozy and has a cabin aesthetic .

I definitely would go again, the place was clean and beautifully furnished, along with a beautiful setup outside, hot tub was very relaxing after a long hike. The owner was very communicative and easy to reach, everything was clearly laid out in a binder. I wish I could have stayed longer.

It was so great to get away from it all to a perfectly equipped cabin (there are coffee beans, a grinder and coffee maker, even)! There are places nearby to hike, as well as the town of Wurtsboro with restaurants and an ice cream place. We so enjoyed the hot tub and sitting by the fire at night. On the rainy day there were board games to play and access to Netflix and Amazon. The grounds are beautiful! And our host Gerard was accessible and very helpful. Highly recommend!!

The house is great good for 2-4 people. The property is very secluded and very private. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. I will love to go again in the future.
