About this cottage rental

This modern cottage was made to help you rest and fully enjoy a getaway. Located on 1.5 acres of land you will enjoy lake frontages,hi two docks, campfires, fishing, a spacious yard, a canoe, a swim raft, a paddle boat, beautiful sunsets over the lake and a very homy cottage. This place is designed for you to enjoy by yourself or with your family/friends. It is equipped with a bathroom (toilet, double headed shower, washer/dryer) and a full kitchen (fridge/freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, toaster, dishwasher, dishes/cutlery/cooking utensils and equipment). The cottage features 3 bedrooms, a lake-facing sunroom (including a hideaway sofa bed), as well as a loft with additional sleeping spaces. Cozy up to a wood-burning fireplace (or furnace) in the colder months, or escape the summer heat with the A/C.

The cottage is 1 mile from the Red river where there is local fishing, swimming, tube-floating and kayaking. Visit local shops and eateries in Gresham or take a short drive to Shawano for local culture, food and excursions.

The Mountain Bay Trail. The Novitiate - a historical site.
Hayman Falls- Hike/Park/Picnic.
Riverside Park- pinics, fishing dock, baseball.
Gilmer Falls- Beautiful rapids, swimming area and rope swing.

*For larger groups, a separate bunk house is available for rent in the spring - summer - fall months. The bunkhouse has a queen and twin bed in each of 2 bedrooms (sleeps 6+) but no running water or bathroom within the bunkhouse building. Contact the host if you are interested in this add-on.

Generally great with a couple of nits for those traveling with infants and toddlers. One was on cleanliness - had some dust around beds that we needed to proactively vacuum (there was one provided) given our younger son is very exploratory, and we observed some mold in the washing machine as well. Second is that the spiral staircase is slightly hazardous for young kids who may be able to slip between balusters. But otherwise, location is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

The property was definitely a 5 star and above! Beautiful cottage with every amenities that we needed for our group. Our family enjoyed every moment on the lake. The owner was super helpful and made our stay so welcoming! We will definitely book again for our family vacation next year! Awesome place!

This property had everything we needed and more! It is beautifully renovated with adorable decor. It was perfect for our group. 3 bedrooms on the inside plus the sunroom with the pullout bed was great for our stay. In addition the 2 bedrooms in the garage were great for our family with a toddler. Had so much fun fishing in the lake and caught so many fish!! We went to the shawano county park/beach one day and that was amazing. Got ice cream at the snack bar there too. We went to Gilmer Falls twice during our week! About a 10 minute walk but totally worth it! We stayed for hours swimming, going down the falls and playing on the rope swing. We enjoyed the gorgeous views at night sitting around the fire looking out at the lake! I would recommend this home to anyone! We had an amazing and relaxing vacation!

Our group loved our stay at the cabin. It was loaded with everything we needed and more. Very clean and we loved the space. Was pleasantly surprised that the kitchen, dining and living area were all open as the pics looked a little different. Property Manager was very accommodating and communicated quickly. Couldn't be more happy with our experience!

We had a great time at the house with plenty of space for all of us in the house and outside in the backyard. We had a great time fishing off the pier! Would come back again!

I have to admit that I too saw the other reviews and had a hard time believing that this place could get a 10/10 from all the other reviewers. But I'm afraid I have to agree! This place is a 10/10! There wasn't a thing that these owners haven't thought of. There are towels, coffee, condiments, games, toys, toiletries etc. Everything we needed was ready for us in this cottage! Beautiful, spacious, clean, modern, peaceful and quiet. We had an absolutely lovely time relaxing here with our family. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and for putting so much effort into making our stay a memorable one! We will definitely stay again if we get the chance!

We were looking for a place to stay before and after the Packer Game. The Cottage really met our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, had all the essentials and the decor was very Charming. The drive to Green Bay was so easy - would highly recommend to anyone looking for the same.

This cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed. Very clean, and it was close to the Captain Cove campground where we attended the Vic Ferrari camping weekend. The loft bedroom has a very low ceiling height and would be better for kids. The lake is shallow and weedy, but it's also very quiet and peaceful, with a lack of noisy jet skis and power boats.
