A very lovely villa, the pictures and description were accurate. The drive up to the villa from the coast takes about 20 minutes and can be quite challenging when passing through the small village of Spartilus, just below the villa, but go slow and it is fine. People generally cooperated in navigating the narrow streets. After we did it a couple of times, we had no issues but the first couple of journeys were nail biters!
The caretaker was wonderful, very attentive and spoke pretty good English. The villa was outstanding, great views, pool, landscaping with everything you needed inside. We were there during a record heatwave, the air conditioning was great (bedrooms only) and the non air conditioned areas were kept cool by the natural airflow. The pool was cool on initial entry but after 30 seconds we warmed up and spent many happy hours in the large pool.
The area was great, less than an hour from Corfu town and that includes the drive up to the villa. There is a good supermarket where the road to the villa meets the coast. We were there for 10 days and had many enjoyable days around the local area. A small tavern, Oasis, about 10 (relatively easy) minutes drive uphill from the villa became our goto place if we wanted dinner out. Nothing fancy, but really good food, and wonderful hospitality.
We would not hesitate to visit the villa again, and highly recommend it so long as you are comfortable driving on very curvy mountain roads (which you get used to very quickly!).

If you want a quiet place to get away from the crowds then This Villa is great for a family or group that want to lounge by the pool and enjoy the awesome views and sunsets from multiple vantage points. The patios lent themselves nicely to group meals at different times of day, all with easy access to the kitchen. The night lighting made it look more like a resort than a house! Only caveat is the distance up the mountain (approx 20 min from the coast at Ipsos or 45 min from Corfu town.) that must be driven to visit other parts of the island. Great place to chill out and make great meals and memories. For families with younger members, the pool is visible from all the outdoor areas.

Villa petalutha was such a wonderful experience for myself and my family. We stayed 10 nights and would definitely return again. The roads are a little serpentine to and from the towns, but you get the hang of it after a few tries. It is very centrally located, most places are only about 20mins, but only due to roads you cannot drive too quickly not the distance. There are lots of information included in the guest booklets, so please do take a look. The property manager Apostiles/family is amazing they are very responsive with any needs that may occur, very kind and very friendly. Again, our family had an amazing time in Corfu….

Beautiful villa with fantastic views
Villa Petaloutha was very well equipped. We have been renting villas in Greece for 20 years and this was one of the best.
The one downside was the road through Spatilas which was very narrow and difficult if you meet other traffic. Also the short steep drive was a challenge.
Having said that the villa was wonderful and worth the effort.
A special find was the Oceania restaurant in the village Shrinalas further up the mountain. Close and easy to get to with wonderful food.

Incredible week!
We enjoyed the Villa immensely! Every aspect was incredible-the VIEW, the pool, the house is amazing. The property is in excellent condition, very clean. Debbie has thought through many details to provide exactly what you need to have a fantastic stay. The kitchen was top notch, laundry facility is very helpful, and the assortment of games and DVDs was perfect. Apostolis was so kind and helpful. We loved being on the mountain and driving through the villages. It was a perfect memory maker for our family of five. Even the teens were in awe and bliss! The orange tree was especially enjoyed by our youngest, he loved making fresh juice. We can’t say enough excellent things about the location or the villa. It truly is a little piece of a private paradise. Thank you for sharing it Debbie!

Beautiful Villa
We booked this villa in 2019 long before anyone had heard of a Covid-19. Debbie was a pleasure to deal with in circumstances where no-one could predict whether we would be able to fly to Corfu.
The villa has a stunning view over Dassia bay and beyond. We spent happy evenings eating and drinking against the backdrop of twinkling lights in the distance. In the day you could see from the east coast to the west coast . The pool setting is beautiful and the villa is wonderfully equipped. The outdoor grounds provide ample areas to relax in the sun or the shade.
If you are seeking peace and quiet in a beautiful setting then this is the villa for you.

An Excellent Week !
We had a fantastic week at Villa Petalutha. Everything was just as described and possibly even better. The Villa has everything you need to be a real home from home and it is in fantastic condition also the grounds are beautiful. Lots of different hang out spots including a fab hammock under the shady trees. The views down to the sea are stunning. One point of note the drive up and down the hill is a bit tricky (to get the views you have to drive up) but after having done it a few times it gets easier and easier.

Fabulous villa with breathtaking views
Such a lot of care has so obviously gone into designing the layout of the villa and furnishing it. There are fabulous views every which way you turn and equal care has gone into planning the outside areas - which are vast!! The planting in the garden is stunning and provides shade, a beautiful backdrop and also welcomes wildlife. The variety of outdoor eating and seating options also means that you feel you are having a really luxurious experience. The view obviously means you have to be prepared for a bit of a drive to get up to the villa - but it is so worth it. You can’t fail to have a wonderful holiday here. The regular cleaning and visits from the lovely property manager means you also won’t have any headaches to deal with once there. There are lots of lovely beaches, tavernas and places of interest which can easily be accessed if you can bear to leave the villa. Our family and friends would very highly recommend this wonderful villa.

Fabulous villa
We arrived late at night to this wonderful villa and immediately fell in love with it. Walking out onto the extensive terrace the view of the bays across the island was breathtaking and the underwater lighting in the pool looked magical. We were impressed with the layout of the gardens and the internal space at the villa. Everything we needed was to hand and we were glad of the welcome pack of essentials to keep us going until we organised a shopping trip. The owners have created comprehensive folders of information for guests which we used daily. We enjoyed many of the recommended tavernas and places to visit. There are some lovely beaches within easy reach and we hired a boat for a day, which became the highlight of the holiday. We had a very memorable family holiday in this special place and will definitely be returning - next time for much longer.

Absolutely stunning villa in a fabulous location
A return visit to Villa Petalutha and we were once again treated to a wonderful holiday. The owners maintain high standards and we could not fault their provision . This is still the best villa we have ever stayed in and we have already booked to return in 2019. Highly recommended for its awesome views and privacy with easy access to beaches and restaurants.

Wonderful villa
Villa Petalutha is a stunning villa offering amazing views over the Corfu coastline. It is spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped and provided plenty of space for the two families in our group. We enjoyed making use of the various sunbathing spots around the pool and gardens throughout the day and the various terraces during the evenings. Apostolis was a font of knowledge and we hugely appreciated the very informative house book with its recommendations for shops, restaurants and beaches (the nearest being Barbati which, thanks to the shortcut you suggested, cut out some of the hairpin bends). Many thanks for sharing your wonderful property: we very much hope to return at some point.

A truly wonderful villa
The villa was even nicer than it looks, it is just fabulous. Our first thought as we were driving to the villa up the steep winding hill, it seemed rather a long way from the sea, but once you are there, all those thoughts disappear. The views are stunning and its very secluded and quiet, and as we soon found out, not far from the sea at all. The kitchen has got everything you could possible want in it. We used to have our breakfast on the terrace, drinks in the evening looking at the sunset on the far side of the terrace and suppers on the lovely wooden table by the barbecue. All the bedrooms have extremely comfortable beds, plenty of cupboard space. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of sun loungers and chairs to sit on. Everything was spotlessly clean. We couldn't recommend this property more, its lovely. My advice is to book early!

Absolutely stunning
The villa was beautiful and very much wow, and in a stunning location, we didn't want for anything the owner had made sure it was a real home from home. We are definitely booking again. We have been truly spoilt by this holiday.

Perfect in every way!
Villa Petalutha was beyond doubt the most impressive and amazing villa we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfectly catered for and every detail considered, from the beautiful well equipped kitchen to the array of seating and relaxing areas. Particular favourites were the outdoor seating area under the pergola, the hammock under the olive trees with the most stunning views and the infinity pool with 180 degree views of the most beautiful landscape. The information provided was really useful, as were the books, games and pool table. The wifi worked perfectly and the villa was very clean and well cared for. The large well appointed barbecue area was well used during our holiday. There was nothing more we could have asked for. The owners were easy to communicate with, highly efficient and pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to find themselves a little piece of paradise and would love to return again soon.

Stunning villa and views
There was everything we could possibly want here. The garden is wonderfully set out so we could have shade or sun, we made use of the BBQ and terraces and lovely, local, friendly, tavernas in Spartilas. Apostolos was helpful, and we really didn't want to leave. We were all surprised and delighted by the greeness of Corfu, and as much as don't like to repeat visiting places would definitely think of coming back here for a special occassion. unfortunately i'd forgotten some long trousers so didn't make as much use of the trails as i would have liked, something to remember for another time Thanks so much for creating such a lovely space for us to visit and stay

Villa Petalutha
Excellent property with stunning views situated just outside of the village of Spartilas. Quiet location for a peaceful holiday. This villa is very well appointed and has everything you possibly need (and more). The owners have taken particular care to provide guests with a folder of detailed information regarding places of interest, local walks, beaches, and good tavernas worth visiting. A real treasure of useful info to make the most of your holiday. Thank you.

Stunning villa, views and location
I hired Villa Petalutha to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Villa was beautiful, well maintained and your every need catered for. The outside space and various terraces with seating gave you magnificent views over Corfu and surrounding countryside. The infinity pool was gorgeous. Would highly recommend.

The perfect holiday destination
Villa Petalutha is excellent, beautifully presented, secluded but not isolated with fantastic panoramic views in any direction day or night. It’s position halfway up the hillside is perfect for a peaceful relaxing holiday. It has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your holiday. The beds are comfortable and the villa is spotlessly clean. The variety of outdoor terraces provide a choice of areas to sit and relax or enjoy a meal - all with the amazing view that I think might be hard to beat anywhere on the island.
The owners have obviously taken a great deal of care to produce a very detailed information pack which is especially ideal for the first time visitor. It has lots of recommendations for places to visit and eat - far too many to pack into just one week !
The instructions for the walk from the villa down to Spartilas are very accurate and we had no trouble following them ending up at the wonderful smelling bakery. The people in the village are friendly and very welcoming. We were there for their Easter parade, which is well worth seeing and hearing. The Spartlias choir, including the baker, sounded amazing.
Driving around the island is lovely. There is always something different to see; a sea view, an ancient olive grove, green valleys and interesting unspoilt little villages. We particularly enjoyed the deserted village of Old Perithia, but it was not so deserted, as there is a choice of tavernas where you can sit sipping a cold beer or freshly squeezed orange juice whilst admiring the view.
The choice of tavernas within easy reach of Villa Petalutha is unending but I would highly recommend the owners' choices in the information pack of Taverna Vitamins in Nissaki, Nikolas Taverna in Agni, Tavernaki in Kassiopi and A La Palea in Stinilas. The food and service is excellent.
If you’re interested in wildlife, Corfu and Villa Petalutha are ideal. We saw the golden eagles soaring above the villa at the top of Mount Pantokrator and the fireflies in the garden. The swallows put on a spectacular display of accuracy, swooping down to take a drink from the pool. We spotted woodchat shrikes, subalpine warblers and heard the cuckoo but sadly couldn’t see it.
A week is certainly too short a time to spend on Corfu and we will definitely be booking Villa Petalutha again and recommending it to all our friends.

Wonderful, relaxing holiday in fantastic villa
Set in a secluded hillside position with breathtaking views, Villa Petalutha more than lived up to our expectations. The property was very clean, comfortable and well maintained with all the facilities we could have wanted. If you want a place to get away from it all and unwind then this place is hard to beat.
It was our first visit to Corfu and we were surprised how green it was, even at the height of summer. A car is essential here but it will also provide access to some great beaches and places to eat - including a fun Greek night with dancing at Taverna Nikolas in Agni.
We were a family of 5, including kids of 19, 17 and 11. Everyone had a brilliant time and our only regret was that we couldn't spend longer than a week here.

Everything and more!!!
We were a party of 8 traveling from Perth WA and the UK to celebrate my 50th Birthday. When choosing a villa for this occasion, Villa Petalutha jumped out at me as having everything we were looking for and we were not disappointed. From the spectacular vistas from all sections of the property, the well designed and appointed home, beautiful pool, walks, peach and tranquility....we had everything we needed to make our stay exceptional. Thanks to Apostle the property manager and Staff for looking after us so well, we had a fantastic night at Nicholas Taverna and at such a beautiful location. Now we have all returned to our respective countries and so we can only reminisce on what a wonderful, relaxing holiday it was and how jealous we are that the villa is not ours. Hopefully we will return one day but it will certainly be for longer next time!!! Thanks Debbie and David. Warm Regards Marie Sheehan Perth Western Australia. PS It was a wonderful way to spend my 50th Birthday!!

Stunning in every way!
We had an absolutely lovely holiday. This is a beautiful, stunning villa - it had everything and actually more than we had expected. The details provided on Owners Direct are very accurate, but what a view! We just kept finding ourselves saying 'this is ridiculous' when referring to the view. We could not find fault in anything and we can be quite analytical about such things. A beautiful place. We hope to return again. We have never said that about anywhere before....

Stunning location
A beautifully appointed villa set in a secluded location with breathtaking views of the mountains, Ipsos bay and Corfu town beyond. There are two excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive and a local shop, cafe and snack bar in the nearby village of Spartilas. The villa has an impressive deck for dining and relaxing and a superb infinity pool that reached a comfortable temperature during our stay. If you are seeking seclusion and stunning views you will struggle to find better.

A group of us had a brilliant long weekend at Villa Petalutha at Easter.
The villa is beautifully designed and located and extremely well 'kitted out'. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic views from the terrace; lazing by the pool; walking to the village; wildflowers, birds & butterflies; Easter celebrations in Corfu Town & Spartilas Village; friendly, welcoming manager; visits to nearby beaches; gorgeous meals at local tavernas and many photo opportunities. What an experience - we wish we could have stayed MUCH longer!

We booked this holiday a year in advance and spent the 12 months getting excited about it. All I can say is that Villa Petalutha did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we could not fault it. The view was truley outstanding - the villa beautiful, comfy and practical. It suited everybody even our 9 month old and our 4 year old. If you need to get away from it you could always find a secluded spot to rest in, or there a plenty of places to explore. This is the first time I have been to Corfu and I am so glad we chose to come to this part. The people are friendly and welcoming and the food delicious.
It was even good to get the adrenalin pumping for a minute or so each day tackling the drive.
I hope very much to come back to Corfu in a few years, when I do I hope that this Villa is available, as to stay anywhere else would be a let down.

Every need and want was met on this holiday of holidays; way above our expectations! Our Mums and two couples all had our own rooms with ensuites. The villa is superbly positioned (no other buildings nearby, and safe); beautifully decorated and clean (photos don't do justice!). The view and silence out of this world. Enough spaces in and outside for quiet time away from each other too. We hired a couple of cars and filled the boots with fresh produce from market stalls, and cooked up a storm most days. Some days we ventured into the village for meals, and swimming in the beautiful sea. The caretaker popped in alternate days to check all was well. Excellent customer service from the owners from the get go. There is no fence around the pool (which makes it very picturesque) but young children would need to be watched carefully. We'd love to return!
