It was a short walk from the main station and very close to the bus stop. The room was spacious with a separate sleeping area.
There were 2 sets of baths that would rotate between men and women. One was in a room that was open to the outside. The water in the onsen came from a 'special' spring. It was nice and hot.
We ate in a separate area separating by screens to you could kind of talk to your neighbours. The food was very good (mostly) with a lot of small dishes.
They had coffee with breakfast (small cups).
The view of our room was of the neighboring house.
We had pork as our main meal two nights in a row and the first was boiled in water before being dipped in sesame sauce. It was a bit bland.

A memorable stay. The staff was warm and kind, we arrived during a rainy day and the person that welcomed us felt like a mom taking care of you with love. The room and bed were very spacious, it had everything we needed. The private Onsen in the room was amazing. The bed so comfortable (even the pillow was amazing which is very hard to find in an Hotel). Location is great (7min walk from station), but the best was the traditional dinner amd breakfast. We will cherish this day as something very special. Thank you so much!

The ryokan was AMAZING. The owner was extremely kind and friendly, and her enthusiasm was contagious. The room was simple and comfortable. The included meals were all beautiful and delicious, and all the staff were professional and courteous. The innkeeper was delighted to learn that we were there for our honeymoon, and insisted on gifting us one of the onsen soap bars they sell on property. She was also very considerate of the fact that I had a cough, and stuffed my pockets full of some hard candies to help ease the throat. She offered to hold onto our luggage after we checked out in the morning so we could go explore Hakone without having to use a coin locker. We came back a little later than expected (due to us getting lost) but she was still very accommodating and was excited to hear about our day.

What a great experience! I definitely recommend this Ryokan! Dinner was fabulous- please do not eat before dinner- I didn’t count how many dishes
we ate- but they kept coming. But please note- You have to plan Your day in Hakone to get back to Ryokan by 18.00- to receive the dinner. Staff was very nice- the lady at the front desk doesn’t speak much english- but later we received detailed info from english speaking very nice man! For additional pay we took private onsen on the roof.

Beautiful ryokan situated just next to a river - very peaceful setting. Rooms were very clean. Onsen was clean, found that the water was very hot! The owner let us stow the luggage in our room even though we arrived before check in so we could explore the area. She was very informative about things to do as well. Wonderful traditional Japanese breakfast as well.
Would have liked if we were asked about dinner as we didn’t realise that all the local restaurants closed very early and it was too late to order dinner at the ryokan without a pre-order earlier in the day.

Wonderful inn owner. Makes us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Food and service was wonderful. Room was clean and spacious. The onsen was good too, with 4 pools in total.

Beautiful area, wonderful onsen, great dinner and breakfast, full of fresh ingredients, very well prepared and presented, and there is plenty of it, you will not go hungry! The room was very cozy as well! Great experience overall!

Everything was good during our stays. Breakfast and Dinner were excellent. Easy walk from and to Hakone Yumoto station. Staffs were friendly. Highly recommend this ryokan.

It was a comfortable stay for us. Courtesy staff, delicious food, and pleasant hot springs made our trip memorable.
Nothing. My child asked me to come again.

The host is wonderful - she was so welcoming and caring. The ryokan is very special - cosy, peaceful, the baths are lovely. Highly recommend the breakfast! The location is amazing, right on the bridge over the river and a short walk from Hakone-Yumoto.

Food was excellent and gave us the full ryokan experience. Onsen was small and cozy, rooms where clean and spacious. staff were attentive and caring, asking us where we were going next and letting us know the weather in preparation.
4.6
The kind and generous proprietress and the support staff, the onsen baths with soaps and shampoos provided, comfortable room and the huge traditional breakfast.
The stairs would be challenging for people with mobility issues. Easy to trip on the dark step coming in/out of the restaurant.

The staff was so friendly and polite
They don’t have any elevator, we stay at the top floor with 3 big luggages, I noticed that they don’t have the elevator but the stairs was very steep to go up, the futon mattress was a little bit too thin.

room was clean and that’s about all.
The rate was expensive (paid around 105,000 yen) for 1 night half-board for 2 adults and 2 kids) in a single room. I asked them why and they said it was new year and they serving new year dishes. Disappointed during the stay because the ryokan was old and food was below expectation. no room service, had our meals at a common dining hall, just like in restaurants. We expect better quality food when we paid so much. Staff not as friendly, no personalized service, Food served were ordinary and of low quality, definitely forgettable; in fact not worth the money we paid. The new year dishes were nothing special. The waiters just put everything on the table without telling us much about the dishes they served; everything was so disorganized that we don’t know where to begin.

We had the best time here. Everything was perfect and well kept. The host was incredibly nice and welcoming. The whole structure is so beautiful clean with an authenic Japanese style riokan. We couldn't have a better experience.
The food was delicious and very fresh. The onsen was clean and perfect for a relaxing afternoon in the nature.
nothing not to like about this incredible place.

A beautiful little ryokan right on the river. We had access to a number of tubs, most of the time we were in there by ourselves. The 'outdoor" tub is on more of a covered patio with women's access at night and men in the morning. The indoor baths have one tub, and the bath rooms alternate gender depending on the time of day. The products available were very nice and the food was fabulous! They were so kind to the kids we were traveling with. Booking.com says the rooms have a shared bath, but we had a toilet and sink in each of the rooms we booked. The baths are shared.
Our room faced the street, which was a bit loud. And if you have strict dietary restrictions, it may be tough to accommodate. We asked for no pork or meat other than fish, and ended up eating around the meat.

Overall was wonderful!! All Ryokan staff were kind, polite and friendly. Hot spring was nice as well as a wonderful dinner and breakfast. We found the beautiful river along the Ryokan and enjoyed the view and sound from our room's window.
Hard to find the location of Ryokan and the parking space for our first visiter.
