About this house rental
Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay is an ever changing panorama of spectacular sunsets, teeming wildlife, graceful sailboats, and impressive ships. We invite you to enjoy it from a truly wonderful and historic location, Love Point! Located just 4.5 miles north of the Bay Bridge, we are 10 minutes to shopping, 20 minutes to historic Annapolis, 40 minutes to Baltimore and 50 minutes to Washington, DC. This charming 2800 sq.ft. landscaped ranch home is situated on 1+ acres with 200' of shoreline. There is a dock with ladder providing easy access to the bay for boating, fishing and swimming (sandy bottom). Afterwards enjoy the hot/cold OUTDOOR SHOWER!! The interior spaces are comfortably furnished - a cathedral ceiling spans the kitchen/family room space with large windows. A separate living room looks out to the street and additional multipurpose room with bathroom and sliding doors to back deck offers several public sitting areas. Tables, chairs and loungers outside on the trex deck allow one to relax with a sea breeze while taking in the glorious view. A fire pit, shade trees, hammock, dock, and deck compliment the private and expansive back and side yard.
Furnishings are an eclectic and colorful mix of antiques and hand painted furniture which has been collected on the eastern shore and abroad. TVs with cable or fire sticks are in 3 rooms. A piano for music lovers is in the living room. There are hardwood floors throughout and many ceiling fans as well as adjustable ac units. The finished basement serves as a space for additional beds, foos ball, board games, puzzles, etc. Our adjacent vacant lot allows extra space for viewing the wildlife; birds, bunnies and even deer as well as playing soccer or volleyball.
The house sleeps 4-6 people most comfortably, however, there is a 'dormitory' style room in the basement which works well for larger groups. Upstairs there are 6 beds; downstairs 3 more.
…..6 twin beds,
.... 2 queen size beds and
.... 1 king bed
Linens and towels are provided for 6. Groups larger than 6, have the option of paying extra or bringing their own linens.
The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs providing a dishwasher, microwave, 2 coffee makers, serving dishes, etc.
Come and enjoy! You will be delighted and refreshed.

It was a very beautiful view. We had a lot of fun at the house and going places around the area. Couldn’t use the downstairs because of some allergies issues but we managed just fine. It was great for a long weekend with family.

It is a beautiful site, directly on the water. The property needs some TLC. It is a nice home, but also needs some updating. We had an ant problem and the basement was too musty to use.

House is very spacious with 3 FULL bathrooms and an outdoor shower- really unusual for a dog friendly place. Only thing that made it less than perfect was no access to water for kids and dogs (there is a ladder off the nice pier). Terrapin Park with nice beach is about 3 miles away.
Great fire pit! Basement is not user-friendly because of moldy odor.

This property was well suited to our family needs. We fished from the dock. We played badminton on the front yard. We enjoyed our meals outdoors or in depending on the weather. The kids played and slept downstairs and could make almost all the noise they wanted while adults could be together upstairs. The ramp and roll in shower accomodated our family member who sometimes needs to use a wheelchair. Thank you for offering this property.

My family really enjoyed the location of this home and the house was exceptionally roomy. A few issues marred a perfect score, and it would have been good to have been informed of them earlier, especially that we could not do laundry. However, to be fair, the host offered to send out a handy man to check out the sulfur smell of the water, but we could not coordinate an entry with our little dog in the house. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this peaceful area.

My wife, my two dogs and I loved our stay at Paula's property. The house was quiet, comfortable, and clean and had lots of great spaces to hang out and enjoy. We spent most of our time on the dock catching perch and watching all of the nesting ospreys fishing and feeding their young, which was great fun. We completely failed to catch or even observe the presence of any crabs, but that did little to take away from our happiness there. We are excited for our next opportunity to come visit Paula's place.

The house is just as described! Perfect views of bay and great dock! Watch the Osprey circle and enter their nest from the yard. Kitchen was well stocked everything you need to cook in. Restaurants and winery close. Beautiful property pictures don’t do it justice. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the house for a long weekend and found exactly the relaxation and time spent with family that we were after. The house and backyard both have ample conversation areas for both large group and private conversations. We never felt as if we were "on top" of each other or in each others way, and when we wanted to spend time together as an entire group that was also easily accommodated. The backyard view is perfectly gorgeous. Could spend the entire afternoon just watching the osprey tend to their nests and the other local wildlife. Nearby there's a also a great vineyard that we enjoyed a flight of wines and spent the afternoon there on the water - lovely. Would definitely return in the future.

We stayed at the bay and cooked a fabulous Thanksgiving meal here. There was everything we needed and the spacious kitchen was an easy place to do our cooking.
The view is great. The house is filled with unique and interesting items; it was a lot of fun discovering new ones.
We needed easy access due to mobility problems - there are two walk in showers which is a rare find. My son's only concern was that almost all of the furniture was so low that he had a hard time getting up. The host was very responsive to us. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful experience; peace and quiet; comfortable beds; great kitchen; loved the campfire pit.

Clean, comfortable home with something different to see around every corner :) Lots of interesting rooms to hang out in. Bit of a sulphur smell to the well water but I’d you let the hot water run for a bit it lessens.
The view and property are second to none!! Beautiful location and we’ll definitely book again next year. So relaxing and peaceful but still close to Annapolis and beautiful parks and trails. Dock is perfect for sunset watching and the deck - we could just sit and stare out at that water for hours.

We all enjoyed the property, location and privacy.
Planning another visit.

Property was clean, and wonderful for two families to get together and spend a vacation on the bay. We very much enjoyed the large yard and furniture. The hammock and fire pit are great. The dock and seating area were big hits.

Host was willing to accommodate our schedule which coincided with her own time at the property.

We were 3 Dad/Son Combos our boys play for Thunder 2024 Lacrosse and were playing in Naptown Tourney. We spent most of our time on property dock on Chesapeake Bay catch and releasing Channel Cats (5 pounders common), Big Stingrays and small Stripers. We hooked landed and released a lot and spent great times with boys no phones just rods, reels and fun. We didn’t use house much but to sleep and it was comfortable and quiet. The water is a little hard some sulfur smells but we brought tons of drinking water keeping our athletes hydrated after 3 lacrosse games a day and it bothered none of us. All we used in house was showers, laundry and to sleep. Paula communicates very well and any question was answered immediately she’s great. It was a great stay. Thanks Paula!!!!!

House is at the point of Kent Island with gorgeous bay views even from inside. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood and room for several cars on driveway. Behind the house, large patio with table and seating, expansive lawns leading to well-maintained dock with bench seating--I could have spent all day there! Well-appointed open kitchen with lots of seating. Various spaces within the house to read, play games, etc. All rooms are on one floor (basement has additional sleeping space, but all bathrooms are on main floor). One issue which we experienced: tap water had strong sulphur smell which made it undrinkable and for some in our group unpleasant even for bathing. This may be a seasonal issue or a matter of a well filter not working properly, but worth asking about for potential renters.

We had an amazing time at the house and I'd highly recommend it. The view is spectacular and the landscaping is full of flowers (so many irises!) so there is beauty everywhere you look. The yard is expansive and well maintained. My teenage niece lived on the hammock by the fire pit all weekend.
We had an entire day of rain but there's a great TV room and table space for puzzles and enough sitting areas for some of us to find a quiet spot to read.
Loved the kitchen and use of a great gas grill outside. We made all our meals and didn't run into a situation where we needed something and couldn't find it. The extra fridge was an amazing touch!
The driveway was large enough to accommodate all our cars (we had 5 at one point) and the location is close enough to other activities for day trips/adventures.
I enjoyed walking our dogs through the neighborhood, the homes are so lovely and well maintained and though there isn't a sidewalk there's not much traffic (all residential) and the cars that did pass were driving slow. Just a great neighborhood!
We did have some trouble getting the kayak we brought into/out of the water but if you have two people who have good enough balance to walk on the rocks you should be able to do it. Otherwise, just plan to enjoy the amazing dock!

The property is right on the bay, we watched the ships, sailboats and motors boats go by. Very relaxing, no aircraft overhead to disturb your thoughts.

Well-appointed property on Chesapeake Bay. Quiet location. Large yard. Plenty of outdoor space.

The house is in great shape, carefully decorated and well-maintained. The outdoors offers splendid views of the Chesapeake Bay. The wide view is wonderful for sky and sunset lovers. Lots of chairs and tables in various places, a large lawn, big firepit, hammock, tree swing, and a dock for fishing, water activities, and gazing. Terrific getaway location, just over the Bay Bridge.
4.8
The house was spacious, internet was fast and the views were fantastic. It was easy to get everywhere but the place felt secluded and away from the hustle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The panoramic view of the sound alone was worth the stay. We spent most of our time outside on the deck or the dock or at the fire pit. Sunsets were beautiful every night. My husband caught multiple catfish.
Our daughters visited the beach at nearby park on the water. In the back yard we saw bald eagles, osprey, blue heron, ducks, whitetail deer, rabbits. A view of the Bay Bridge from the dock. Very relaxing visit. We cooked at home mostly to enjoy the location. We observed sailboats, ocean liners, cruise ships and local commercial fisherman on the Bay.

The house was perfect for our family of 5 plus the grandmas and some friends! The teenagers loved their separate basement dorm, a little musty but didn't bother them! The multipurpose room was great for when it was too hot or buggy to eat outside, and was great for cards at night. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, we only ate out for 3 meals the whole week, so we definitely put it through its paces! There were sometimes 3 people showering at once, and we never ran out of hot water. The hammock was my husband's favorite place to be. I loved the two dock spaces, especially the side one. The kids loved the dock and using the big floats in the water. The sunsets were amazing. We biked the 2 trails nearby- Terrapin and Cross Island- both were beautiful!! And the beer at Cult Classic brewery was yum!! What an amazing week!! Thank you Paula!!

We stayed at Paulas place for our wedding week and I can’t imagine a better place to have stayed. The view and yard are breathtaking and Paula was so helpful when we asked to have our small rehearsal dinner in the backyard. Loved every minute of it and will be part of our memories for years to come.

Our family of 5 had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the Brassfield. This home is charming and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating. While our teenagers loved the downstairs area, the adults thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor oasis. The bay views, boat traffic, sunsets, and the nearby Osprey nest provided so much entertainment for us. Don’t forget your binoculars and fishing poles. We caught fish right from the dock! Kent Island is a hidden gem on the Eastern shore.

They place was excellent especially if you love fishing. The house was clean and the owner was the most gracious and generous person. We will surely
Come back. It was very quiet and safe. Love the place and the best owner. Win-win!

Painless process.

The view of the water from every main living space is unparalleled. Our group loved that there were so many distinct "hangout spots" in the house. There's a hammock, loungers on the deck, the pier, the side pier for when there is too much sun, the front deck tables, the list goes on and on. We had intended to travel to some other beaches during our stay but it turns out the house was so nice that we just spent every day of our week trip rotating between all the spots in the house!
4.8
The highlight of out stay were the bay views and the nesting ospreys next door. The location is very convenient to stores and restaurants.
4.8
We had looked for a quiet place with a big yard and water views of the Bay. This home was all that and more! The house was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, if not modern. In a reversal from their regular lives, our grandchildren spent most of their time outdoors. The big back yard and the dock provided plenty of space to explore and play ball. We ate meals outside on the large deck. We even had a campfire with s'mores on the last night. We'd never spent a night on the Chesapeake; this house put us right in the middle of it! HIghly recommended!

We were a group of 5 women and we really enjoyed our stay on Love Point. The house was well equipt and quite interesting. The beds were comfortable and plentiful. This is a great location from which to explore the Bay area. The sunsets were fabulous, lighting the entire horizon.
4.8
Great place to go to relax and reconnect. We enjoyed the home/yard and taking nice walks in town, neighborhoods and on trails. Also enjoyed great Meal at Amalfi Coast!

Had a wonderful 5-day stay at Paula's house right on the Chesapeake. Plenty of land in the backyard for relaxing with our 2 small dogs. Used the firepit one night, and observed the various birds that call this area home. Very relaxing - Love point is at the northern tip of Kent Island and is very peaceful and a great little community + you're still only 20 minutes from Annapolis. Our recommended restaurants nearby: Knoxie's Table and Bridges Restuarant (both within 10 minutes). Also, go the Stephensville Crab Shack for takeout - even closer and a great family run place. We'd love to come back again soon!

Home was nice, being by the Bay was great, 3 of our 5 days were incredibly windy, cold or rainy.
