About this house rental
At the heart of Normandy, this family home, an 18th century manor house, welcome you in a rustic and convivial setting.
With ten bedrooms, five with double bed, 3 with two single beds, 2 with a single bed, its living rooms: living room, dining room, billiard room, games room for children, it allows being while preserving many quiet spaces.
The one-hectare garden with its pools and pool will be a great playground for children. However, we stress the need, in view of water bodies to supervise young children. The pool is equipped with an alarm. It is closed and the pool at the laundry. As against the frog pond is not fenced but access is gently sloping - we do not fall into it - and the level is very low in the summer.
Your day will be punctuated by the church bells ringing three times a day for matins, the Angelus and Compline.
Many horse riding activities, golf, walks, tours are offered at less than half an hour. Also many colorful markets throughout the week. All shops in Trun, 9km.

We stayed as a family of 15 for some relaxation and to explore the area.
We’ve had a fab time.
The house was easily big enough and well equipped.
Some of the lights didn’t work, however this was explained to us as a problem with the electrics.
The description should perhaps say that 2 of the single rooms are accessed through a double bedroom.
The house would be no good for anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of steps, some of which are quite rickety.
These are things which I thought needed mentioning but overall the house, grounds and pool were perfect for our group.

Really good house, too many flies. Lots to do at the house. A bit remote though.

There were 15 of us, ranging from 3 yrs to 80 and the house is wonderful in many respects. It is spacious, with ample bedrooms and different lounges where you can hide away if you need. The facilities for kids are awesome… snooker, table tennis, swimming pool and lots more! It is 15 mins from Falaise where there’s a choice of supermarkets.
We all loved it and the time went so quickly.
Benoit the ownerwas around if needed … such lovely people.
The house is very special . We loved it and its history is fascinating!
Thank you Benoit for letting us all enjoy your house and pool, it gave us such great memories .

The most beautiful place we’ve stayed in all our trips to France and perfect weather. The photos of this wonderful property don’t do it justice. There’s so much space, perfect for family holidays. Definitely booking again if we’re not out priced

This is the second time that we have stayed in Benoire's lovely French Farmhouse as we stayed in the May Half Term last year. Plenty of space for our family of 12. Easy drive down from he ferry at Oueistram. The weather this time wasn't quite as good as last year but we found plenty of things to do.

There were 15 of us 7 adults ( 2 couples) and 8 children aged 6 to 16 from 2 families for our Golden Wedding celebrations. The house was very good and the activities wonderful - the children loved being able to swim, play table tennis, pool, trampoline, play chess and the piano not to mention hide and seek in the beautiful grounds and house.
Wifi was mainly available only in one room but we didnt mind that. An additional bath/ shower room would have been handy with a few more washbasins but didnt matter. It was a truly memorable holiday and we hope to return. It was great to feel that the family were prepared to share some of their long history and treasures with us so generously. Ann Templeman

Although the weather wasnt all on our side the house is fantastic with plenty of room for big families with cosy rooms and fireplaces, games and activities. Would love to come back in the future!

We had a marvellous family holiday in this large comfortable manor house. We were a group of 7 adults and 4 children. The property would easily accomodate more people. We were really lucky with the weather but if we had had wet days I'm sure there was enough inside to keep the children amused. Delightful part of France. Easy to get to via the car ferry to Caen. Very rural but lovely towns a short drive away. Benoir & Martine were the perfect hosts. As previously mentioned the on line pictures do not do it justice. We will definitely be back!

After a Covid delay of two years we finally got to spend 10 days in Normandy and this became our home away from home during this period. Built in 1786, and missing it's right "shoulder", it still has plenty of space to offer and had a homely feel to it. It has been modernized but kept the feeling of being an old house and a home with plenty of history (although unknown to us). It has "lived" through the French revolution and been in the middle of the "Falaise pocket" during WW II. The inside, bedrooms and bathrooms, looks a lot better than on the pictures but the outside is well depicted on the Vrbo site.
The house provided all we could ask for and exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the multitude of rooms so that our group of 3 families and 10 people could enjoy each other's company in the amount we felt appropriate and all the bedrooms allowed for sleeping arrangements for us all to be able to wake up relaxed in the mornings. Plenty of quiet spots if one wanted to relax a bit. But also excellent areas indoors for us all spending quality time together. The pool table and Addams Family pinball saw a decent amount of action. A bit crowded at times in the kitchen area, especially in the mornings for breakfast, but luckily we had a few teenagers with us that do not know the proper time to eat breakfast. Very well equipped kitchen and everything in good working order.
Although very rural, the nearby towns of Falaise and Saint-Pierre-en-Auge provided opportunities for shopping groceries (on our way back from some nice sight-seeing). We still feel that this was a better spot and a bargain compared to staying closer to the coast. We might not have taken the time to travel to Falaise and the other towns in the area if we would have been staying further north.
Benoit and Martine were very helpful welcoming us and showing us around the interiors and external facilities, which included the heated pool and the barbecue that we used a lot. The exterior is well taken care of, including daily pool service during our stay. Thank you both for your excellent service!
We can really recommend this for anyone looking for a pleasant and quiet (well, there's the church bells at 7am but that "grows on you") holiday in the Normandy area. Hope this review can be helpful for other potential guests. And that you find it accurate. We might definitely come back in a few years.

Stayed 28th May - 4th June 2022
We chose this property as it was big enough for our large family. It didn't disappoint.
Plenty of bedrooms over three floors, a large kitchen, dining area, games/dining area, four separate lounge areas and a snooker/pool room. Despite the size it felt safe for our younger grandchildren with plenty of gates and cots.
A large garden with a trampoline and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Also a fish pond and dipping pond which the children loved. If you want a traditional French style holiday, this is perfect.
Although there was a slight language barrier, any messages via email were always answered quickly by Benoit and Martine.
Overall we were delighted with our stay.

The house is clean, and everything was taken care of and available The pool and garden are nice and provide enough space, especially for the children. The same for the inside of the house. It all is as described and shown on the site. We had a good and frendly ontact with the owner.

A lovely, big, old, remote, well-equipped house with acres of room inside and out - despite there being 13 of us (8 adults, 5 children under 8) we were never on top of each other. Kids loved the pool (as did the grown ups), the grounds and the trampoline. . Great value

We had a great week staying at Le Logis. The house was huge and well equipped for our party of 13 (Ages 8 to 75). The house has a lot of character and was so different to the houses we all live in in the UK that it really made our holiday.
Kinga was a superb host who provided all the information that we needed and made us feel very welcome when we arrived.
The 7 kids enjoyed being in such an large property and had the entire top floor complete with bathroom to themselves. The swimming pool, pool table and gardens were perfect for them to enjoy. Alan visited a couple of times to maintain the pool which meant it was always clean.
The kitchen, dining room and lounges gave us plenty of room for family dinners and to find quiet spaces when they were needed. Like others we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in the house.
The ground floor bedroom with en-suite was a real plus as it meant Gran and Grandad could have their own room without needing to climb the stairs.
Croissant run to Trun in the mornings was just 7 mins, Falaise has everything you need with a big Carrefour and the Monday market at Saint Pierre-sur-Dives was fun.
Best property we’ve stayed in!

We had a fabulous week staying here. I agree with the other reviewers that the photos do not do the house justice - it is really big! There were 15 of us (8 adults & 7 children) and the house was more than big enough for everyone to spread out and enjoy the facilities. The children's lounge, the snooker/pool room, the table tennis in the barn and the swimming pool itself were definite favourites! The grounds were fun for the children to explore and run around in and the house itself was very well equipped. Kinga & Phillippe made us feel very welcome on arrival with drinks for everyone and a thorough tour.
I would highly recommend this place!

We spent a week here in August 2018 and it was fantastic. We were 3 separate families and there was plenty of room for us all with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The kids had lots of room to run around and there were plenty of things to do including fishing, swimming, table tennis and pool. The House is beautiful inside and out and the grounds spacious and very pretty with views over open countryside. The house had numerous sitting rooms and 2 dining areas. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners were very welcoming and helpful at the beginning and end of our stay. We loved this place and would recommend it to any large family or group looking for a relaxing stay in Normandy.

This magnificent home was enjoyed by us all. It kept the children entertained throughout our stay with the pool, table tennis and huge gardens to explore. The adults had plenty of room to relax and despite being 14 of us the house was more than spacious for us all. Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday.

We had a wonderful family holiday in this amazing house. Loads of room and far much better than we would have imagined when booking. We had a party of eight including six 20 something adults and we all enjoyed the facilities especially the pool, snooker room and pinball machine along with 10 days of sunshine and temperatures in the 30's. The hosts were wonderful and it really was a home from home with everything you could need to have a lovely holiday. Having three lounges and two games rooms as well as pianos, barbecue and loads of outdoor spaces meant something for everyone and space to chill out. The three bakers, butcher and small supermarket at Trun were great and for larger supermarkets and eating out Falaise was not far away. Falaise Castle and Lisieux Basilica are well worth visiting but if you want real Normandy, off the beaten track and a superb house to stay in this is the place. Definitely one of the places on the list to visit again.
