It was good overall, clean, spacious, convenient, and a responsive host.

My husband and I were in town to visit relatives for a few days. The place was as advertised. Comfortable king sized bed (we didn’t use the queen bedroom since it was just us.) We did try to contact the owner because the WiFi wasn’t working, but never heard back from him. It really wasn’t an issue for us since we didn’t spend much time there anyways. Very close to downtown.

We booked all 4 apartments in this unit for our family reunion trip. This location was perfect for that purpose. The family was all together but also had privacy when needed. The only mishap was in the initial booking. We were all charged different prices but the units were identical. I didn't really understand the difference in the pricing. Also when I canceled 1 night the total cost of the room didn't change. They just adjusted the price to remain the same. The host was very responsive and the unit was very spacious.

The location of this property was great, and the old house has some charm. Walking distance to charming downtown Florence. The host was really great to work with and was flexible to meet our needs.
However; there are some things they could do to improve the stay.
1. Need more lighting. We arrived at night and the place was SO DARK. Nearly all of the outside lights were burned out, and some of the inside lights had 10 watt bulbs in them. It was very dark in most of the rooms.
2. Keypad access is only in the back, which requires you to climb a steep metal staircase if you are on the upper floor.
3. Tend the landscaping. The grass was in desperate need of mowing.
4. Do periodic cleanings if no one has stayed for a while. When we got there you could tell it had been cleaned, but it had been a while, since there was a layer of dust on everything. The front porch was in a state of complete disarray with trash piling up.
5. Add furnishings. The living room was large, but not well furnished. Plenty of space for additional seating.
You can tell the area is developing, and this place is quite charming, just set your expectations that the place is old and has the qualities of an old house (uneven, creaky floors, doors that don't close all the way, small bathroom).

Clean upper. Neighborhood appeared safe. Nostalgic apartment, new looking cloths washer and dryer was a big plus. Nice big front porch.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Close to the lake, and close to places to eat. Loved having a full kitchen to cook. The place is old, but charming with modern touches. The owner is wonderful.

Everything was fine until they started mowing the yard at 7:00 am on the last day of our vacation. Why would anyone do that??

Owner locked us illegally out. We Had to have the police called to help retrieve our items from the unit a day earlier than expected.

Great location, especially if launching a boat out of McFarland Park. Condo was perfect for our week on Lake Pickwick. Plenty of boat parking. Very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely older property that has been updated. Located in a quiet neighborhood. It has a lovely covered porch; a nice place to start or end a fun day in Florence!

Our stay here was perfect! Very easy to get downtown and anywhere around town. Quiet neighborhood - great for walks. The unit was clean and comfortable. The unit owner was very responsive to our needs - I can't thank them enough. The front porch looked great but the weather was too cool for us to take advantage of it. I'd highly recommend this location.
