Our family vacation was almost ruined by poor property management! It was obvious that the unit was not fit for anyone to stay at! The water heater was removed from the wall and was sitting in the dining area leaking water. There was a dehumidifier that was left on top of the counter with a hose attached to it in the sink. The first person that we spoke to from Vacasa, the property management, was of no help. She told us that our unit and the unit below had water leakage! We asked to be moved to a different place and she said that there was nothing they could do since it was around 10pm and she was going to have a manager call me early in the morning. We called Vrbo as well and they told us to wait for Vacasa's call to see if they will resolve the issue. We had to sleep in a place that had freezing cold water and smelled of mildew. We spent the night sneezing and having stuffy noses from the place. My father was sick for the rest of the trip from sleeping there for one night. The next day we waited for the call and never received one, I had to call them when it was around 10:44 am. They sent someone to the place to see if it could be repaired, but found that it couldn't. The person who was assigned to our ticket finally helped us move to a different place. Vacasa, you need to have better communication with your personnel about the properties. If a place is being repaired, you should not have that place being listed for someone to book it! Unacceptable!

We left immediately. We tried to get the company (Vacasa) to relocate us, but they never got back in contact with us. We paid for a new place. This place smelled awful and musky. We killed two huge spiders as soon as we got there. The dog below us barked the entire time we were there and the entire time we searched for another place. I requested a refund and am still waiting.

We loved how cozy, well stocked, and decorated the place was. They literally thought of everything. So inclusive for our dog, too. Would stay here again! Centrally located to everything we wanted to check out. Highly recommend Bella's Breakfast and LP on Main for dinner.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that we could not get to work despite trouble shooting was the wifi. The establishment was clean, comfortable and cozy. We would also suggest one more small living room chair.

This was a cute little condo. It was very clean and convenient to area attractions. We stayed here for the App State game it’s about 25-30 minutes from game day parking. The place is very small but enough room for 2 people and a sweet little dog.

The address supplied on VRBO is not correct. I sent the owner/management company a message asking for directions but got no response ever. I think because it's a Vacasa-managed place you'll not get the same response you would from a private individual. Finally had to call VRBO on the day we arrived to get a good address. The address is: 30 Creekside Dr, Banner Elk, NC. The "A" shown on VRBO as "30A" is simply the unit number; there are a few units at the same address. (To be clear, the address is NOT 30 Little Creekside Rd) This address can't be found on Google Maps but Apple Maps can find it.
Be aware that the unit has no A/C. It's coolish there in the summer but the unit's design does not provide a way to get a breeze going through the place, especially upstairs. So, it was a bit stuffy for our stay.
The unit is okay but not great. Everything worked okay. It just wasn't a standout place.

Cute, convenient property with well stocked kitchen for the size.
