Loved the staff the breakfast and the room. The bar area is lovely too. Great parking.
The shower in room 324 is a bit pathetic. Only complaint

Für unseren Zweck gut geeignet
Zimmerservice war leider immer etwas „vergesslich“

Goed hotel uit 1996 al maar gerenoveerd ca 2015. Nette badkamer met ruime douche met wand. Goed schoon. Buitenterras aan cafe restaurant. Goed parkeren. Ca 3-3 km van centrum (te lopen, via diverse winkelcentra).
Toilet hing beetje scheef, bril verschuifde.

Room itself was OK. We wanted to turn on the heat but it didn't work. Called the front desk. They said THEY had to turn it on.
Location. Very difficult to find. Took us a half hour and asking people. It's behind a hotel down a street that looks like a dead end next to a car dealership. They LIED about walking distance to City Centre in their advertisement. It would take 40 minutes to walk there not the 15 to 20 they advertised.

We liked the location and the proximity to the city. We loved the breakfast and really enjoyed the choice of variety and freshly baked/made breakfast. All the staff were so friendly and very helpful, especially the very understanding receptionist, who handled our room criticism professionally, understandably and efficiently. After our conversation with the lady we actually reflected on our stay and seeing she was so understanding and kind enough to give us our breakfasts with no charge, we decided to increase our score, because while some of the issues were down to the hotel upkeep the lack of sleep was beyond the hotel responsibility. The room bed & linen was spotlessly clean as were the floor and room in general.
There was a strange odour upon entering the room, but it quickly vanished once we opened the window. The shower power was not great but enough to wash. The shower hose was worn at the top and obviously needs replacing. The shower although was clean, looked dated because of the staining? on the floor and the missing grout/mould in between tiles. The complementary toiletries were firmly fixed to the walls, no shower cap or basics provided. The bedroom although clean and comfortable, we feel could do with possible deep cleaning of fabrics to rid the odour in room, as it was there again in the morning after shutting the window for the night, but again disappeared once we opened the window, there was slight condensation on the window, so this could possibly be the cause. The room was warm and comfortable, but got cold during the night, but the duvet was very nice and warm and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, we noticed that there was an eyelash stuck to the picture above the bed, which obviously should not have been there. In fairness we wouldn't have noticed it either only for the couple one side of us making such a continuous commotion that we were trying to listen to which side the noise was coming from. Due to this noise from the people next door I was unable to sleep from 2am onwards. This was not the hotels fault and down to the inconsiderate couple next door and their arguing which continues until well after 5am. Also doors slamming. When I brought this to the hotel's attention the receptionist was so understanding and considerate, and asked us if we reported it to the front desk, which we said we didn't, as I didn't see really what they would be able to do with the noisy people. Now the value for this rather worn room was what really irritated me and where I felt it really let it down. We were charged €219 for an executive King room for 1 nights stay, room only rate THROUGH booking.

cleanliness and the room was really more like a dorm room than a hotel. The website makes it sound really luxurious and it is a fine hotel but nothing special...
we were eating our breakfast outside on the patio and a seagull swooped in and ate my wife's eggs....
no air conditioning in the room was unexpected...
7.0
The room comfort.
The reception lack of empathy (Grace). No room aeration or AC.
