We were in the UK to have Christmas with our family who live in Littlehampton. This was the perfect home base for us during our visit. Andrea was an amazing hostess! She had decorated the house and had a tree for us. Tea, milk and a box of treats were waiting for us when we checked in. She said stopped in to make sure we knew how to use all the appliances and had everything we needed. Hunter’s Retreat was clean and comfortable. It was nice to be able to walk down to the pub and have two shops so close. It was just as nice to have a place to relax that felt like home. We’ve already booked it for our next visit! Can’t wait to have a stay in the summer!

We booked this rental for a family break with our children (4&8 yrs old) and the Grandparents in their early 70s.
X4 adults & 2 children.
Very easy to book, Andrea the owner was very helpful when i asked a few questions before booking.
On arrival Andrea was around to greet us, she was so friendly and has a great deal of knowledge about the area which was fab.
The rental was amazing, really exceeded our expectations.
Such a thoughful welcome gift of milk, tea/coffee & cookies to get us started on arrival.
Very clean, a fantastic welcome pack which tells you about the area, useful info as well as how to use the appliances within the rental was great.
The rental has beautiful decor, high quality furniture, amazing quality bedding & bath linen. Luxury bathrooms, The bedrooms and layout are a great size plus the open plan kitchen, lounge area and dining area is such a wonderful area.
There is plenty of off road parking as well as a lovely private enclosed court yard area with patio set, BBQ area & toys for children/beach bits.
The rental has everything you need for a home from home stay.
We loved the games, the grand parents really enjoyed reading the books & the children loved the toys both inside and out.
We can not fault the place at all. Fab stay and we will be back 100%
So much to do in this area, plus great transport links close by.
Very close to Littlehampton seaside, Arundel plus Brighton was only a short drive away or you can get the train.
Thank you.

Fantastic base for Goodwood close to the village of Littlehampton. The house was spotless on arrival with a great welcome pack.
Would definitely recommend the property if you are looking for a comfortable base to stay.
Andrea was very helpful & informative throughout the booking process & kept in touch on the day of arrival - a delight to deal with.
The house is well stocked to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Wonderful Wheelchair Accessible Property
This is a lovely place to stay, wheelchair access was excellent. The shower was fine for me, but could be a little difficult if you cannot stand at all.
Traffic noise was loud but you get used to it pretty quickly. The area is superb for visits, Littlehampton was lovely, Arundel Castle and Petworth House both fabulous, and the Weald and Down openair museum was a great visit. Food in the area was also great from fish and chips at the beach to a gorgeous meal at the 6 Bells, which is just 2 minutes from the house. We will almost certainly book this again.

Perfect holiday home
I stayed at Hunter’s retreat with a couple of friends for a summer get-away and it was just what we needed. The kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs and the open plan was perfect for spending the evenings together. The BBQ was great too! All our rooms were clean and extra comfy plus the bathrooms were really nice. Andrea was lovely and I would definitely recommend this stay to others.

Home from Home at Hunters Retreat
We were looking for a property suitable for my wife who is a wheelchair user with 3 bedrooms to accommodate the rest of the family. The ground floor layout was ideal for my wife, fully accessible with wide access front, bedroom and bathroom doors which was a very spacious wetroom. The open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge were spacious and well furnished. The upstairs accommodation was again spacious and well furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed the garden area which was paved and again well furnished along with the benefit of a brick built bbq which we used twice during our stay. Andrea is a fantastic host and we appreciated the milk, biscuites, tea, coffee etc that were provided and she was only living next door if we needed to contact her. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at "Hunters Retreat," would come again and highly recommend to friends and family.
A big thank you Andrea from all the family.

Info
Property perfect, layout, equipment etc. every thing you needed was available. Only problem we encountered was the traffic noise. Situated on the main road to Arundel. Ok for me I will sleep through anything, but wife could hear the traffic. Owner greeted us on arrival and gave all information required. We had a good break away with our friends. Steve

Great little place with everything you need!
The property was perfect for our needs and came with everything that we needed for a few days away. Really comfortable and flexible accommodation, all essentials provided and everything very clean and looked after.
My friends and I were attending an event locally, so didn't spend a huge amount of time at the property, but can see that this would be a great base to explore the local area. Really easy to find with a good amount of parking and an excellent pub within 2 minutes walk.

Excellent clean accommodation
Excellent base for visiting our relatives in west sussex, All amenities, and equipment were fabulous. Good selection of board games. Cottage on a very busy road, but has offroad parking. We had children of 9 and 14, bunk beds were good size. Overall excellent clean accommodation and would recommend.

Ideally equipped and brilliantly clean
Friendly and welcoming owner. Lovely bathrooms, well equipped kitchens and comfortable bedrooms. Attention to detail regarding instructions and local area guidance. Morrisons within 3mins drive was handy.

Well equipped cottage that had everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday.
Very well equipped cottage perfect for a holiday for an extended family with a downstairs bedroom and wet room, washer dryer and dishwasher. Andrea kindly provided baby equipment and toys which made holidaying with a baby far less stressful. Thank you. The only downside was the very busy main road straight outside. Although we had no trouble leaving the cottage it was quite noisy at times. The cottage was well situated for a variety of days out and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

The property was very spacious and modern. It was lovely entering such a clean property.
It is a nice area to stay with numerous rail stations nearby if you did not want to take the car especially into Brighton. The six bells public house was 2 mins away with wonderful food, the best belly pork meal I have ever had. Arundel very close by and a wonderful place to visit.

Lovely well-appointed cottage
We loved our stay here. The owners were very friendly and thoughtful, gave lots of advice re the local area and things to do. Great advice for getting the train to Brighton from Angmering rather than driving! Fab personal touches such as having indoor and outdoor toys available for the children and a very kind loan of a scooter seen as we hadn’t brought my little boy’s own one. Only slight downside (and it’s very slight) is that the property is on a main road, making it a little noisy with road traffic at peak times in a morning. It didn’t affect or impact on our stay or enjoyment however. It’s very well placed to explore the south coast and surrounding area - if you like castles make sure you visit nearby Arundel! Thank you Andrea and Terry.

Fresh, open plan, good bedrooms and bathroom
Nice house, good of road parking,
Very close to a very busy road.
That’s a big downside of the house

Great stay in a lovely place
Very nice rental house in a lovely part of the country. Perfect for a family, with pretty much everything you need. We were 5 adults for some of the stay, and 2 for the remaining and the house felt perfectly suited. Having two bathrooms helps, as did the open plan kitchen/lounge.
Lots of nice pubs not far away and a Morrison’s within walking distance.
Only negatives are it’s by a busy road so access can be a bit challenging during rush out but we didn’t notice the noise once we were in the house. Also it would be nice to have more than one towel each, especially when you are staying for 5 days. Apart from that, a very nice place

Super Accommodation
Really well equipped cottage, modern and spacious. Good location for exploring the local area. There are historic towns, shops and seafront all about 10 minute drive away. Great little pub serving a really good menu literally 200 feet from the cottage. Owners are very friendly and helpful and live next door. Only one negative the cottage is situated on a busy A road, apart from that would totally recommend

All mod cons are here
Lucky with the weather my friends and I had a lovely stay at Hunters Retreat. The accommodation is very clean and well equipped. It is very well placed for visiting Brighton, Worthing, Arundel and Littlebourne itself with a supermarket close by.. Andrea, our host, called to make sure we had everything we needed and she left us milk and biscuits on our arrival. She obviously takes a keen interest in how her guests settle in. The road outside is very busy but it didn't keep me awake after busy days!

Comfortable and spacious, a good location for exploring.

The owner Andrea is very pleasant and helpful. We were there for 2 weeks. Supermarkets are close by. The property is a real home away from home. Everything you could think of is supplied. Very family friendly down to infants if you have any.
I cannot fault it. Also very modern and clean.

The cottage was more spacious than we had expected with three comfortable bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms.
It was very well equipped and had the essentials and more. The host was wonderful and came in to check if we were ok and even put milk in the fridge and left some lovely treats.
The children loved having different toys and games and there was also a DVD player if we needed it.We will certainly recommend it to friends and family and would love to stay there again.

Our first impression of Hunters Retreat was how modern and new it was. The cottage is beautifully furnished, with all amenities you could wish for. Plenty of utensils for self catering and all facilities for a long stay. The host, Andrea was very welcoming and friendly and was quick to supply an extra key, as we were four adults. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and nicely fitted. Plenty of essentials on arrival, such as, fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar, dishwashing materials etc. Florentines were a lovely touch. Nice outside space with bbq (ready to go) etc. The only small negative, was the rather busy road, running alongside the cottage, we found the traffic noise was quite intrusive/persistent, however we are all from rural villages, so probably does not bother most people. This would not deter us from visiting this cottage again.

We stayed here for a long weekend. Andrea was very welcoming and was full of good recommendations and advice both before and during our stay. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable and has everything you would need for a relaxing stay. We hope to be back.

This is a lovely modern cottage with very comfortable beds and plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and found it to be the ideal base for visiting Chichester, Arundel Castle and gardens, Weald and Downland Living Museum, The Royal Pavilion at Brighton (we took Andrea's advice and went by train from Angmering) and Petworth House. We enjoyed good food at the local Six Bells and the Gravy Boat restaurant in Littlehampton where we recommend the carvery.

fantastic location, Andrea was brilliant, we used it as a base for work, but would use it as
a holiday base anything - thank you my lads loved it

Loved this house. Lovely decor and very omfortable. The enclosed garden is ideal for families with young children. Pub very close by serves great food. Will definitely be back.

We stayed in this lovely cottage for a week in March. It is a great place to stay - modern with two bathrooms - one with bath and one with shower. It is well decorated and furnished as well as clean and comfortable. We did not get a chance to use the attractive patio because it was too cool outside, but can imagine it would be great in the summer.
For those from overseas who do not want to tackle the driving, there is a bus stop outside and across from the Six Bells pub where you can get the 700 coastal bus to Arundel and Littlehampton, etc.
Also easy driving distance from the cottage to Worthing, Arundel, Brighton, Chichester, etc., all of which are worth visiting.
Andrea was very friendly and helpful, and even had milk in the fridge ready for a cup of tea!
If we are in this part of England again, we would love to stay there again.

We had a lovely week in the cottage. It was very convenient for Arundel, the coast and all local amenities. The property is clean, modern and a pleasure to stay in. The enclosed garden was perfect for the children to play out in safely. Andrea was friendly and very helpful in terms of local knowledge. Thank you for a relaxing stay.
